FYI.....acme is offering 15% sitewide today. This brings the m18 mitre saw to $509 shipped. I'm trying to cancel my home depot order now cuz even with the $200 combo deal, the 7% NJ sales tax brings the mitre saw to a total of $530 if i return the combo.

I just checked and the 15% off cannot be combined with the free tool offering on the M18 FUEL combo kits.

nope, but if you buy the saw itself it ends up being cheaper than the if you buy the combo with $200 off and return the kit to home depot and keep the saw.

Ya I also just looked at the bare tool price +15% discount on that Miter saw pretty good deal :D

FYI here I just noticed the M12 stick is now only $49 before the 15% discount

Used to be $79

Boy I wish they drop the price on the cordless finish nailers...they are much more expensive than some other offerings and they took a hard hit in the online reviews too. :(

I really wanted to buy one. I think they're just too big and bulky versus an air tool for finish work (you definitely don't want a XC battery in them IMO), and yeah the reviews aren't great. In addition, again IMO, usually when you are doing trim/finish carpentry it is very easy to have access to air.

They should have started with a framing nailer and perhaps a medium crown stapler or something first. Those I would way more appreciate a cordless solution, and the depth problems the finish nailers are having would not be as big of an issue.

The 18v wet/dry is very good, I have two of them. They are my go-to for a lot of stuff, especially car cleaning where it's good enough I no longer bother dragging out a shop vac.

Just to clarify... HD's price match policy states:

Now, I wanted to purchase this in store from Home Depot... which I thought would put me in the "in-store purchases" category. And I thought Acme was counted under the broad term "any retailer". No. They actually mean that the in-store price match policy will only beat local brick & mortar retailers. Not "any retailer." Unless I'm an idiot, their written policy there is wrong.

FYI - It is possible to get HD.com to honor the Acme 15% off an item that does not qualify for the discount currently on Acme.

The saw is $599 at Acme, plus the 15% off makes it $514

Tempted to buy the saw, sell off the two batteries and charger, plus I have a new charger to sell so I could do them as a package deal. Make the cost of the saw right around $150. I can just use 5.0 batteries since I have 4.

Then sell off my current miter saw and bam. Free!

They dont make that M12 fork voltage tester anymore? Did it have non contact capabilities without putting wire between the jaws? Does the M12 clamp one have non contact without it being in clamp?

I've got the 2897-22 kit, 2720-20 Sawzall, and M18 lantern inbound from Acme. They had some great customer service answering my questions.

I also ordered the Bosch fixed/plunge router kit.

Been waiting a long time for the right SDS deal, this kit is already an intro price of $499 which is $100 off the retail it will be come January, $450 shipped from HD. I have too many 9.0s....

I picked up the Milwaukee back pack recently on sale for $59.99 and couldn't pass it up. It's very nice!

I have a Veto Pro Pac Tech Pac as well but it's larger and heavier. I'm not giving up on it (I have a whole bunch of Veto stuff) but I'll use the Milwaukee in different situations where I don't want to carry as much as I can in the Veto.

Just got my tools. Curious on best practices for storage. I don't use my tools daily. Just a casual home user. Ive read alot of different opinions on storage with regards to the charge levels and temps. In the past I would charge up my batteries and just leave my nicad stuff in the garage year round. It gets to below freezing temps out there. Is that okay to do with the m18 stuff?
