So I've been thinking...as I love me some Big Red. With the advent of 9AH foray for their big boy tools....do you think Milwaukee is going to step in and make a big leaf blower.

Loving our Dewalt 40V blower . Have their hedge , chainsaw and string trimmer as well and a slew of 6 and 7.5AH batteries...

Wouldn't mind adding Milwaukee to the stash...
Then again, waited forever for their nailers, and well, they are not the typical knock-them out of the ballpark as other milwaukee tools

They do, but not on par with spec. I believe the M18 is more like 100 CFM and the Dewalt referenced in this previous post is more like 400 CFM

I didn't watch any as our data is low so says the mighty cell provider, but a few days ago I watched the video (presumably from NPS) about their new levels. It was disrupting to hear the guy repeatedly say "Disrupting the market."

You're talking about this one?

The new one that will be released next month or so will have a lot more balls.

The 100 cfm is a workshop size one that I think all the brands have by now, this new "gamechanging" one is in the 400 cfm realm.

The newer Milwaukee blower is basically showing specs that competes with Dewalts 40v.. not sure I'd go dissing the thing just yet, unless you like having to buy new batteries and chargers every time Dewalt makes a new product line.. IMO what Milwaukee has been doing is smart, and benefits its customers... recent deals are basically "giving you" a 9.0 battery and fast charger for free with some kits, since the kits are priced the same as the bare tool.. then a few months later they release tools that could really use that 9.0, and you already have the battery and charger - all of which will work with anything on the 18v platform.

Dewalt on the other had, still has 18v, 20v, 40v and now 60v - and some of the 40 and 60v tools require 2 batteries.. not exactly easy on the wallet.

Fuel or non Fuel? On setting 1 or 2?

The M12 Fuel isn't the most powerful impact around but it'll definitely sink screws into a 2X6.

All I have is M12 fuel (except the vacuum and the free ratchet that came with the drill/impact kit for 199). I didn't know the m12 fuel impact had different settings.

Got another Toolup order today from their sale earlier in the week. $59 for the hole saw kit, $40 for the M18 2.0, $35 for the M12 4.0 and $10 for the metric nut drivers.

Even the 2453 has power settings, 1 and 2 on top rear of tool. You toggle by hitting the button to illuminate the 1 or 2

I hear ya KCT. Milwaukee is about 2 years late to the party...have my their OPE lineup for 2 years and it's been great not smelling like 2 stroke...

All my tooling system is red. The only Yellow I have are their 40V OPE lineup and their 20V vac, as I liked the specs on the vac more than the Milwaukee.

If I didn't already have my gas stuff, and was just buying my first home, I'd really consider the Milwaukee OPE stuff.. but the gas I have is very reliable, and it's hard to give up a vac/blower combo that does mulching. My Echo trimmer has never given me an issue. I buy the canned fuel without the ethenol mixed in to help.. only item that gives me any issue is the Husqvarna blower vac sometimes, but they are all like that since I've bought 3 of the same model and retuned the previous.. they don't like fast throttle movement, but once it's running it chews up leaves no problem..

I use the small m18 blower to dry off the bike and just clean the sidewalk sometimes. I like it..

I've got the Echo Backpad and then some....the cordless stuff is more for maintenance, for example I get about 20 minutes out of 1 battery using the blower full throttle. I do have a couple batts. on hand. Nothing will replace gas, for end of year real yard maintaince, if not this time of the year, where it seems like one is dealing with leaves for years on ends .

Well the final TOOL UP charge for the 2754-20 for last Saturday's online transaction just showed on my CC billing statement overnight a full week after the pending charge was first applied but then disappeared. So will see what happens next with delivery...like when it will show up here. :headscrat

And without the additional Milwaukee $20 off code also applied to this purchase I wouldn't have gone with just the original $119 cyberdeal. Double the shipping cost for me over the standard flat rate some other places offer doesn't leave me all that impressed with my first purchase and dealings with this particular online vendor as of right now.

Just as an FYI for those maybe looking to buy, CPO always offers free shipping for a first time order.

Now ACME has up to $50 OFF a $300 purchase $25 of $250 all this weekend 12/10 & 12/11. But have to site register/login to use the code.

Didn't stack with the MilW2016 $20 off code for me when I tried so it looks like its one or other. But on tools where that $20 off code is applicable that should beat the $10 of $150 weekend offer though.

I dunno, it sounds like ToolUp sold out but waited to get more stock and then fulfilled your order. Granted, their system should be smart enough to not oversell, but at least they didn't cancel your order for OOS.

I've received 3 orders from them since BF w no issues.

That said, online ordering is never perfect. My step dad just ordered me the Fuel Sawzall w 9.0 battery. He first ordered Home Depot online. They provided a confirmation and then cancelled the entire order 24 hours later. He called to ask why and said they "did not know" why order was cancelled. OOS I'm sure.

He then ordered w ToolUp but got frustrated saying ToolUp did not like my address -- I know what he means, anyplace that ships FedEx is PICKY about addresses and abbreviations that work w UPS and USPS cause FedEx to freak out. Finally, he ordered w CPO.

The point? Even online commerce ain't perfect.

I happened to notice right now Acme has the 2792 jobsite radio for $199.00. This is the lowest I've ever seen retail. HD is still at $229
http://www.acmetools.com/shop/tools/milwaukee-2792-20-m18-jobsite-bluetooth-radio

If you log in the HOHOHO code does work to take it to $189, BUT then you're $11 away from free shipping. If you had an ~$11 filler might be worth it.

This is the "big" jobsite Bluetooth radio and M18 charger. Personally I love mine and use it everyday in the shop; other guys swear it's the worst sounding thing they've ever heard. I can't understand why, but suffice it to say clearly we all have different standards.

Well the wife informed me she wants a BT speaker for her office for Christmas so I ordered the new M12/M18 2891-20 from Acme. They say expected ship date 1/25/17 so she knows it will be a late present. I added an Inkzall to get over $150 for $10 off with HOHOHO but shipping put it back up to $146 order total.

She had wanted the 2592-20 M12 as she presently uses that for her yoga classes and really likes it, but she decided she wanted the new 2891 when I showed it to her.

I haven't bought boots for any of my impacts so far (never had protective boots for other tools before) but that said the nose pieces on a few are looking a bit rough now with some big scratches especially on my Fuel 2763. It looks like its just painted. :headscrat

Too bad in a way they don't come standard with better nose cone protection

lol I was going to do the same thing but my wife would have been pissed if I bought a Milwaukee brand for her to have. So I ended up getting one of the 5 star rated speakers off amazon.

The wife full-on embraces Milwaukee from her heated gear to stereos to the M18 vac at her office to clean out vehicles for her transportation company. In the shop the Fuel grinders are way better for her 'cause they don't have that tear-you-to-shreds power of a 110VAC motor.

Isn't that hole saw kit the same that Home Depot has right now for $39?

Although I'll grant you....the kits are pretty damn close. HD from last year, LEFT, ToolUp just now RIGHT. The ToolUp kit came with this uber duty arbor though that rather than "popping" up (and MUST be tightened w hex key or it pops open from the vibration of drilling steel resulting in stripped threads in your hole saw or just a REALLY tight hole saw requiring a cheater for removal) threads up to rubber o-ring allowing for preload. Kinda cool, but arguably the better arbor alone is not worth +$20

I thought I was getting a close out kit w the pre-Hole Sucker saws. But alas, they're still Hole Suckers. Well, figure each one is good for one hole in steel before dulling (but hey, it won't BREAK! so they won't have to worry about that warranty against breakage)

I ran into a Milwaukee rep in Home Depot this morning. I asked him about the cordless hedge trimmer and availability date. He wouldn't commit to a date "next year". I asked him if it would be in time for first hedge trimming, he said no problem.

Then I threatened him - I said if it wasn't I was buying the Dewalt one... :lol_hitti

Best I found was $30 on Amazon. I paid $35 for my 2654 boot thru HD. And yeah, it's spendy.

The biggest laugh is that the boot for the 2654 ends in -2754, and the boot for the 2754 end in -0012. Pure genius.

I think Milwaukee has left a huge market untapped by not offering protective boots for the batteries and some other tools..
