Aww man. Just bought the 2755b not too long ago. Looks like I'll be returning it and getting the 2861 instead. I did kind of feel like the 2755b was kinda underpowered and too close to the m12 3/8 impact.

Is is normal for an M12 3/8 ratchet to have a wobble to it? It is almost like the anvil is off center so the bit wobbles as it spins. Pretty noticeable on deep sockets.

Honestly I didn't get a chance to use the 2755b too much. I tried to take off some exhaust manifold bolts with it and it couldn't do it. I also already have the m12 3/8 impact which I really like. I'm a mechanic, so I use the m12 for engine removals and tear downs. I believe the m12 is rated like at 120ft-lbs and the 2755b is rated at 220 which seems kinda close to each other. Even if the new 2861 is a bit longer and heavier I think it's a good trade off for more than double the power of the 2755b. I'll rather have more power and not need it, than need it and not have it.Ya I can easily understand how learning of this recent Mid Torque impact would create some uncertainty on a recent purchase of the 2755B.
Obviously the new 2861 will be a heavier and slightly bigger tool.
Is there any specific reason/application why you feel its underpowered for your application?
I have the old B model the 2655 I always have liked it's overall compactness especially when the only alternative at the time was the 2763 high torque. Lot of weight and power there.
Just looking at specs (operator's manual PDF on the Milwaukee page) the new 2861 will have 3 mode settings 510/2100/2400 rpm and IPM of 420/2700/3000. And I also see the pin detent version the 2860 will have a higher mode 1 rating.
Are there any good deals on a m12 fuel drill/driver kit and a 3/8in ratchet? I think HD has a free tool deal with the $200 kit

Has NTX Tools gotten any better recently? Last I heard they were absolutely abysmal, and good luck getting your tools in a reasonable amount of time, if you ever got them at all.
Does the m12 stick light have a magnetic base?

I had my wife drop me off at HD today and I found the bargain area. They had a milwaukee m 12 2494-22 drill and driver kit for 129.00. I thought it was a great price for a nice small set

it is rubber coated so it will not scratch anything, and it installs or removes quickly and easily.. it COULD be stronger, but it works fine. you can make your own as others have pointed out..
Plastidip possibly?

Was hoping to get the light cheaper somewhere if not I'll buy from HD
