Well I am not attempting to talk you out of that combo deal and if you need a Fuel drill driver and really want the ratchet
And if you were to piece together a kit plus purchase a ratchet bare tool separately consider you do get a lot for the money with that Fuel pkg.
But I can offer up some other less expensive starter tool options if your interested and seeing your looking at a first purchase, they maybe more in line to what you can also use for your hobby. Sometimes not everyone needs pro level fuel tools for that they do and do note the Fuel drill isn't a lightweight tool by any means.
Now I find the 1/4 hex screwdrivers that Milwaukee offers are fantastic tools for doing lots of screws. They all have adjustable clutches so that lessens the chance of over torqueing things.
There are 3 current models on the market (actually 4 if you count the original version of the 2401 like I have)
And the absolute best bang for your buck would be the updated 2401-21 kit at ACME its only $69!
May be the same price others places too but I haven't looked.
You get the tool, charger 1 battery and storage bag. Quite a starter kit really and its currently being marketed from Milwaukee for even less than the bare tool itself.

The 2402 two speed Fuel Hex screwdriver actually has the same body as the Fuel drill just with a different chuck. It is lighter and very well balanced comparing to the longer and heavier 3 jaw chuck ratcheting chuck versions, and it did come with a free ratchet too was even $10 less yet but looks to be sold out at HD
There is also a 2 speed brushed version similar to the new 2401 that's the 2406.
There is one other great deal that was around and seems to be in very limited quantities though now and that is this kit its the original 2401 hex driver like I have Another great starter kit,

And you can still drill with all these but you do need the hex shanked drill bits.
And if it is hammer drill/driver you still decide your needing this 2408-21 brushed M12 version is a very nice and useful drill. And that is at a great price right now too.
