I just finished a ceiling project using the M12 stapler. I drove over 1400 9/16 staples without any jams or mechanical problems. The only thing that I would like to see improved is the distance from the face of the gun to the staple point of impact. My old manual arrow stapler will drive staples a full eighth inch closer to a vertical surface. I know an eighth don't sound like much, but I had to use the manual gun a few times to get my job done. Overall I think the stapler works great, just a little bulky on the front nose.

Yup meant coupon, $20 off 100 or 10%. Surely it will go to 99 everywhere eventually. Stores seem to be restocked since they got cleaned out in July.

It's showing as 129$ for me. There are 5 in stock at my local Lowe's though. Also what do you mean "with coupin"? I know you mean coupon because I also say coupin but which one?

Used my OK Pumpkin light again yesterday, some dope crashed into a pole on my street. Finally connected via OK and was impressed with using remote control. What would be even cooler is if it was IOT and you could control when offsite.

Okay ACME has Milwaukee Redstick levels 2 packs on sale right now and HD also has it as a Special Buy. The 24"/48" combo. Can anybody explain the major differences between the MLCM and MLBXM models, the CM's ($109) are described as compacts so wtf is a compact level actually

Both have the same backbone description, endcaps, accuracy rating. The BX ($149) are described as having Sharp Site technology that is the major difference I can see :headscrat

Both also have the magnetic option

What else makes the BX model worthy of the $40 dollar price difference?

The compact also seems to have Sharp Site according to specifications.

The compact seems have less depth, width and weight. Also doesnt have the handles in the level that the other model has. Thats all I can see in diffrence

does anyone have an idea about the model number for the 2nd generation FUEL M12 1/4" hex impact driver?

are there thoughts on the packout cases replacing the older style cases going forward? there is a sale on the two current generation FUEL M12 hex impact and drill (that will be replaced soon with upgraded models) that feature packout cases rather than the traditional cases:

https://www.homedepot.com/s/Free%20PACKOUT%20Case?NCNI-5

or is this just an experiment, or a push to get packout cases into the wild?

it would be an interesting move for them to migrate to the new cases as they upgrade tools. . . .

Since the packout case has a plastic molded interior that is designed to fit the impact, I doubt the smaller, next gen version will fit perfectly.

I'm still failing to see the purpose of the packout case instead of the standard plastic case or a tool bag. In order to use it as an organizer, you'd either have a big open case or you'd have to get the little storage cubes from Milwaukee (not sure if they even sell them individually).

Unless perhaps you've bought into the whole milwaukee packout system and want to be able to strap this kit to your rolling packout taj mahal? Then I guess it has a purpose.

I like the idea of the tools starting to come in pack out cases. I like to have my tools in cases to keep them in good condition but I hate having to lug so many cases around with me loose. I already have those M12 fuel tools so I bought some empty pack out cases on eBay with the plastic tray to build my own.

while i dont see myself buying into the packout system, i admit that having the tools in those boxes would make it easier to transport them. the cases appear to lock together. if you flip out the handle on the middle one, i would imagine you could carry three or four in one hand, which doesnt seem as reasonable with the current case technology. . . . .

i think i would prefer to have inserts that allow two tools in a case, with another case just for a charger and several batteries, rather than limiting me to one case per tool. but that is just me. . . . .

I'm almost positive that these are just a holiday special as part of Home Depot's Gift Center sale. I read from a memo that once these sell out they will not be replenished like other items that HD already carries in store. Our store received 5 each of the drill and impact. So once it's gone, that's it and most likely will only come back on promo, if that.

Hmm...thanks for those insights I will have to take a closer look online I never get to see most any of this stuff first hand in stores at least not around here.

I like the box beam level I have one 36" Starrett. The rest are just I beam, be nice to have a door jamb set but the other sizes will suffice

that makes sense if those tools are being replaced soon with second generation versions.

but, it still begs the question, why put them in these cases in the first place? as far as i can see, there are two likely reasons:

1) to get the new packout cases into the wild, to get random people looking at them. this might help stir up interest, and boost sales of the base system.

2) to test the water to see how people like the new direction, with an eye to migrating everything there eventually.

rather than making custom cases for tools when you do another run, it seems like it would be more efficient to just make the shells (packout cases) and stock inserts (which would stack, and take up substantially less room) for various tools. this would also open a market to sell the inserts separately.

an L shaped insert, where two fit into one of those 1/2 size boxes, seems like a reasonable thing. it would allow you customize your packouts for tools you want together. two inserts, one for M18 and one for M12 chargers/batteries also seems like a no brainer.

I am done with bulky blow molded tool cases. I think it would be great if they used the packout cases instead. The only problem is cost.

Got the M18 Rover 2365, high expectations, very disappointed. It almost feels like it was not made and designed by the same company as the M12 Rover 2364.

Pros
Brighter as expected but not by much
Magnets are super strong but almost too strong
Swivel rotating head - but many flaws in design
Clamp has more length and depth - but one way

Cons
Can only be clamped one way, M12 clamp can be clamped from either front or back, M18 only clamp to back
Magnets dont have protective rubber cover, though recessed a fraction, dont understand why not covered
Handle is useless with XC or 9.0, you cant grab it as battery prevents fingers getting through hole
Swivel rotating head mechanism is flush to bottom, it should be set 1/2-1" above
Head only swivels 180 degrees one way other way is 170 degrees, wtf
Unclipping face to swivel is tough

While the clamp is bigger and larger capacity 3" vs 2" on M12, it clamps only to rear. With M12 I clamp often to top of car hood pointed down, impossible to use M18 this way even with swivel head. Its a toss up if the head should swivel from bottom of light or top, I feel it should of been other way. Its a little brighter than M12 and same compared to my V1 hex flood, not much difference.

The M12 Rover is great and the M18 should of been awesome with its additional swivel feature. Very disappointed. The one way clamp and location of swivel mech makes me scratch my head. Wait till you try to pull it off when using magnets, it aint easy.

The medium/middle piece might work well for my M18/M12 circ saws as they have no cases for them.

It’s real tight with the M18 fuel saw in the middle case.

Let us know if you think the swivel mech should of been on top instead of bottom. The one way clamp was my biggest surprise. No wonder its only $100, the lowest paid employee in R&D worked on it for only 4 hrs.

That stinks, mine gets here Monday. Had high hopes on this one.

My store finally received them...pricey for $199 but I'm loving all the storage bins it comes with. I still use my ridgid setup but this one is so tempting...

I just noticed HD took this item off the website, and they have been out of stock everywhere (in SoCal) since last weekend. I wonder if they got pulled from the shelves for some reason (black friday release?).

Also having a hell of a time finding the USB Rover or Flashlight.

When they pulled mine down from the overhead the box was marked Black Friday.

The M12 drills and impacts shipping in the compact packout case...does the case include the bins that normally come with the case?? Or do you just get the empty case?

the tool, charger, and battery are packed in an insert inside the case.

I think he's referring to the yellow bins that fit inside and divide the case into compartments.

I don't believe those are included.

Theres a new addition to the 9.0 kit bonus, HD.com has M18 Fuel Grinder 2780 plus 9.0 charger kit for $249, not worth 249 but interesting

Look up Bosch L-boxx. Certain tools if there’s come in a l boxx instead of a regular case. I love that idea.
