20$ on ebay:

https://www.ebay.com/itm/332389416203

i admit this discussion sold me for two ratcheting screwdrivers for 20$.

will fit nicely in the "house bag" with the M12 drill/driver and M12 hex impact.

i will also admit to being one of those people who has specialized tool sets in various places for various uses. the time saved tracking things down is well worth the expense of buying the additional tools (like i need another excuse).

I wouldn't recommend using in the impact, if you can avoid. I actually bought mine for the long bits for my M12 hex driver. I have used in my impact, but don't think the tips will handle the abuse well over time, and supposedly more likely to explode if they do fail. But that's what safety glasses are for

I'd hate to disappoint ya, but the corded HF gun probably WORKS better than the m18.. it's def not one of their tools that are replacing corded tools. It's a convenience thing only really..

I really like my M18 heat gun, but the el cheapo HF definitely kills it in terms of actual heating.

When I'm working on vehicle wiring or on the boat the cordless is waaaaay more convenient though.

I got this 1/2" 3107-6 with some Christmas money. I'm pretty pumped as after a few threads I started here about the general subject I had gotten to thinking I couldn't make owning a dedicated RAD worthwhile $-wise. But I found a good deal online. It will go well with my trusty corded 3/8" B&D and my non-fuel M12 impact & drill set.

As far as my other Milwaukee stuff, for electrical my 6-in-1 strippers are good but they're second-place to my Klein NM strippers (I'm more confident in the Milwaukees' screw cutting tho) however I really like my insulated drivers. I can't kill my corded sidewinder saw no matter how much I abuse it.

You guys have negative points added to your Milwaukee membership LOL.

Perhaps when I get the M18 will compare. Dk if HF has many models or if my ~5 yr old one is a weaker model, but it does not seem much better than a hair dryer.

Perhaps I will wait for the Fuel heat gun due out in a few months JK, surely it will come put before the Fuel jigsaws or Fuel M12 rotary or Fuel tire inflator.

I've flipped lots HF Heat Guns on my flea mkt tool table...seem to work ok.

You’ll love it. I’d get the boot if you can to keep it in good shape!

I bought mine strictly for doing wiring. It works good for that, I just wish I could lock the button on for when I’m working on the bench.

I got mine right from Milwaukee but it was right when it came out so no one else had it. I’m not sure who is cheapest now.

I got my first Milwaukee power tool as a gift from my wife for Christmas
Milwaukee 2656-22CT M18 1/4" Hex Impact Driver Kit

I have used it and already love it. It replaced my old Porter Cable which never had much torque and would bog down. I'm looking for a drill now to go go with the driver. Its mostly for household maintenance and auto work. What size and model would members recommend?

On a side note, the drill kit showed a hard case but it came with a cloth bag. No big deal but a little frustrating.

2606-20 if you're on a tight budget. Small, light, and plenty of power.
2701-20 if you have just a little more to spend. Basically identical, but brushless.
2703-20 if "no kill like overkill" is what you live by. Fuel brushless model, incredible power, but a little unwieldy for smaller tasks. Clutch on the lowest setting puts out too much torque sometimes (my only real feature/performance gripe with this tool).

Search eBay. New bare tools can be had pretty cheap, especially core tools like drills and impacts.

Found the Milwaukee 2701-20 M18 ½" Compact Brushless Drill/Driver Bare for $95.00 on Amazon. Reviews say LED does not turn off and chuck falling out are problems with this model. Any input on this?

Since you already have an impact driver, this kit is nice because it comes with the fuel drill and fuel 3/8 impact. I've had the Fuel 3/8 impact for about 3 years, and it is awesome for automotive work. Small, yet plenty of torque for lug nuts on cars and most suspension components.

These are the previous generation models of the drill and impact, but they still have PLENTY of power.

Random question about the Milwaukee warranty...does it only follow the first purchaser with original receipt, or does the warranty follow the tool? I would think it would only follow the first purchaser with original receipt, but I saw a post here regarding using only a serial number from the tool for warranty claims...

If you don't have the original receipt then the serial number is used to verify it is still within the warranty period by using the date code in the serial number.

Sounds like a fluke. I'm sure every brand has had a drill with an LED and/or chuck problem at some point. One perk is that it comes with a 5 year warranty. If it's not from a retailer, then it's 5 years based on the manufacturing date, which is encoded in the serial number. The warranty doesn't care who the original buyer is. If you bought it from a retailer, then it's five years from the purchase date providing that you can send a copy of the receipt in with the tool.

Well as long as I known the CT designation has always been for compact batteries normally 1.5ah but the Fuel kits come with the 2.0's

and -22 kits come with TWO of the compact batteries and -21 kits only have one battery.

-22 alone is for an XC extended capacity batteries

The- 21L is single battery package hence -21 code and the L designation is obviously for the included light.

They have been different bundled specials offered over time some have even included drive bit kits.

There is also kits that include one compact and one XC

-22CX is that designation

As for the 21P well again a single battery but I'm clueless about the P

Maybe someone else will know more about that.

The Rapid M18/12 station was out before the single rapid, thought the 4-M12 and M18 6 pack would of been "Rapided" last year, so maybe this year.

I love my Rapid Station, only charger I need. Well I alsi use the M18 giant radio for charging too.

Hmm so wondering now if there are any new chargers or power stations in the works.

I really want the 6 bay multi charger :lol_hitti

2 things to post.

1. The small box opener is super nice. I picked one up at home depot. I think it was $3 or $4. With all the amazon packages we get, it comes in handy.

2. I cannot praise my battery powered impact wrench enough. I have the midrange fuel one I got free with my M18 fuel kit. I never thought a battery could take the place of an air compressor but it has. I took it to the junk yard because I wanted to play around testing rims. Super easy just to try rims and mount them to the junk car. I know it's an odd application but just one of many where the cordless comes in handy.
