i have several now. i understand where you are coming from.
like the other milwaukee tools, the lights are of high quality. while you can get something else for less for literally any of the milwaukee lights, they dont seem to throw as much light, they seem to go thru batteries faster, they dont seem to hold up to dropping as well, and the magnets and such dont seem to hold as well.
and, once you are "properly invested" in batteries, you never need to worry about forgetting to [buy batteries|charge the light|find a place to plug it in].
some are better than others, of course, but if you get the chance to get, say, one of those 2130 (or 2135) lights at the local HD for cheap, give it a try. you might be surprised.
I just acquired the 2130 tower light and have been using it on a bathroom shower door project. I love that thing. It is lightweight and throws lots of light.
