Is it me or are the newly announced M12 tools, as they get released, priced way more than they should be??? Yea I know they announced some of the MSRPs during the tool show... but come on... No way I'm spending $230 bare tool price for a die grinder... I bought the $20 adapter off ebay to convert my M12 polisher into a die grinder instead.

The pre order prices do seem to be higher. I'm ok with $150 for the die grinder in the above deal.

I am not happy with the long reach ratchet price. The regular Fuel ratchets are around $169 without coupon. How do they get $239 for the long reach? Everything is the same except for the longer shaft. $20 more for the extra material and the convenience of access seems reasonable. $70 more??

That one I'm going to have to wait on.

Where the hell are these milwaukee glasses i ordered????????????

Some Milwaukee account executive better figure out that they owe you for $25k in Verizon business and send you a new pair of glasses every month.

This is my feeling on the ratchets as well. I'll wait for deals on the facebook group or local crackhead prices on OfferUp after they've been out a little bit.

I got another product suggestion.for Milwaukee - since they're targeting Trades - develope a line of Shovels and Sledge hammers.. even just rebrand the Razor-Back line into Milwaukee models. Anybody else ever use them, with the fiberglass hañdles? Those shovels are great.

Yeah, I've got one. Personally prefer my Jackson Kodiak tho. But agreed, it would sell. They're in every other OPE segment. Fiskars offerings too would be a good add.

But they do the most sales & promos lol.... which doesnt help if you just need a tool or battery right now, then you're screwed

Milwaukee's pricing has been out of this galaxy for a few years now...

Well the addiction has finally started after the clerk at HD spent about 20 minutes searching for where in the overhead storage this kit was placed :bounce:

M12 Fuel Hammer Drill/Driver, Impact, charger, 2 batteries and a packout case for $199 out the door in tax free Delaware

attachment.php

My local HD found the two that were listed as in stock but they couldn't initially find. Very, very tempted by this kit. Thankfully they put them in a terrible spot in the store so I have time to make a decision.

I like to think that the low inventory, poor stock location, and relatively subtle website advertising is a sign that the kit is a pretty good deal and HD doesn't want to sell too many of them :)

Would be no brainer if it was the M12 Surge vs reg hex impact....

To be honest I'd be less interested. I want the outright power of the regular M12 hex impact, otherwise would have just kept my Dewalt 12v Xtreme.

My move was to ditch my Gen 1 m12 fuel impact and go with the M12 surge. Since I also have an M12 stubby with a hex adapter then I can grab that if I need to drive something really big.

Picked up both of these on the way home from work this morning. Didn't need the tools, but wanted the packout cases, batteries and chargers. I'm returning both. The drills are absolute ****. I thought people exaggerated about the chuck problems. I was so wrong because both of these are horrible. I wouldn't even attempt to sell these to someone as I planned to do. On top of that, the smaller packout has hard formed foam so the only tools it will hold is the drill and driver. I thought it would be the soft foam they advertise I could trim to fit other things. I'll just wait to get the packout set on BF sales and keep piecing what I want together from local crackheads or occasional good sales.

What do you dislike about the drill? I bought the same deal at that price. I’ve used the drill a handful of times and it has been great.

That’s the same drill set I have. I love it. I agree the second generation chuck was bad but that’s the 3rd gen part number. To each his own though, everybody likes different things. The preformed foam will come out. That is the correct case that the pluck foam normally comes in just must not be in that set. The smaller normal Packout like that is a little bigger.

Upgraded my 1/4 M12 Ratchet to the Fuel Model. Definitely worth the money.

3rd gen chuck still has the problems. It's documented and well known. Been a huge complaint by many people that they didn't fix the issue between the generations. Both of the drills I got had visible wobble and the 3 jaws did not all line up correctly. One jaw was always behind the others about 1/8". They are also the crappy style of jaws that won't hold small bits. 1/8" bit is loose and nothing smaller stays in. I just like drills that work as a drill. The 2804 is not it. Such a shame, but in all honesty I've never had a good cordless Milwaukee drill. My old 18v from many years ago went through 3 gearboxes before I gave up on it. TTI owns them both, but I've never had issues with a single "cheap" Ryobi drill not functioning as it should. I'll just continue to steer clear of their drills and be selective on their products. Loving my M12 stuff so far (haven't touched that drill either though).

So the building supply company I work for has a few distributors we order from. I got online and was browsing Milwaukee products the other day and found the 5.0 batteries on sale for $15.89 each. Called my regional Milwaukee rep and he tells me that's less than what they sell to the large chain supplier for. I been selling them like hotcakes for 5 for $200.00. Only bad thing is that I heard the guy in charge of pricing for the company is probably looking for other employment.

Am I reading this right? You're referring to the 5.0 batteries that HD sells for $129 each, and you sell them 5 for $200? I bet they are selling like hotcakes.

OP should privately call the supplier and order everything they've got. :dunno:
That would have been my first action...

That's correct. We're just trying to make friends and make a living, not trying to make a killing. I have built a pretty good customer base with my consumers and they all are pretty loyal so I thought it would be a good way to pass on some super savings to our customers.

I've got a few that if Milwaukee came out with a M18 Fuel Pooper Scooper they'd buy them right on up lol....

I did, I ended up with about 140 batteries in all...even the people not wanting the 5 pack bundle we've been doing them for $49.95.

Towards the end they caught the mistake but the ink was already dry on the invoices lol

Sold.

My company had a "recognition BBQ" today.. one of the splicers found the box for my new M18 cable cutters I threw in the dumpster, copied the model # down, googled it, printed out the picture, and went around to the managers hunting down who had it. Lol. Finally found me, asked if he could be borrow it. Came back and said it cut through lead sheath cable like butter.. came back with his boss to ask me where I got it from cause he wants to order one now. Says did u get this through our Milwaukee rep?
My answer - "we have a Milwaukee rep"?.

There's a guy that had a box of 100 he was selling 2 for $50 shipped on the Facebook group. That must of been where he got them as well.

Milwaukee tool marketplace (not in the marketplace, that's just the name of it.) Minus the usual stupidity, there's a few guys that post good deals regularly.

Home Depot / Milwaukee in-store free M18 3.0 battery 2 pack promo. Buy M18 Fuel Surge $149, M18 Fuel Hackzall $159, M18 Fuel Jigsaw $199 and get a M18 CP 3.0 battery 2 pack free.

Anyone have experience using both the M12 and M18 Fuel Hackzalls? Is the M18 a whole lot more powerful than the M12? Specs show M12 is almost 1 pound lighter and 3" shorter while the M18 has a 1/4" longer stroke with both putting out 3000 strokes per minute. I currently have the M12 non-Fuel Hackzall and it is pretty worthless in my experience. Although I like the idea of the Hackzall and its ability to be used one handed, the M12 non-Fuel version is definitely my least favorite Milwaukee tool because of its lack of cutting power. I want to upgrade to a Fuel version but with the M18 being a pound heavier, I'm trying to find out the difference in cutting power before I make a decision.

I upgraded to the m18 fuel hacksaw...it is heavy. if you do any time with it, it will put your wrist to the test. I feel like if you need to do some serious sawzalling, the larger two handed version would be a better option.

The one that looks like an octagonal boom box? I have that one and one of the little M12 speakers. It’s considerably louder than that one and sounds a lot better.

After posting that, Amazon just delivered the Oontz Angle 3 Ultra BT speaker i ordered. its only $31 on amazon right now. (I have one of the older ones too).. thing is amazing for its size.. i just order another ram mount so i can mount it off the windshield in my work truck. I’m gonna hold off on the big m18 now after actually hearing this, and its a lot smaller, and way better than the little m12’s. I’m blasting Lil Wayne right now.. haha

But ya never know... lol

Never mind, it appears northern links don't want to work nicely in either format. Either way, it's $100 off HD and probably the cheapest way to buy all the fuel tools without finding crackhead deals locally.

For me, I don't like the hammer drill after bad experiences with 2 of them and also the mid torque is underwhelming in real world uses. Stubby m12 and high torque are the way to go. Lastly, I now prefer the surge over the normal impact. Depends on what you have and want really.

Do i want the M18 Bluetooth Speaker?
How good is it?

Great speaker...I use my extensively at my outdoor market all summer long.
People tell me to turn it down :spit:

The rest of the time it's my main house speaker...

I usually stream Youtube or Pandora if I'm not using my own SD card of music

I can really make it crank with my music between both device volume settings and the speaker but lot will depend on the recorded level of the music. A lot of youtube is low volume. My tablet has X Player that has a +15 volume boost setting (plus equalizer) I downloaded video music from the web so sound level does vary.

The old M12 isn't in the same league by no means and even though I own and use one still the playback sound is quite poor compared to some other personal sized speakers like the Monster. Still it's ok for worksite or garage. either Milwaukee using replaceable batteries beats any internal battery one I own :D

Honestly I don't search for another one with the 2891. I can get up to 12-14 hrs playback time on M12 4amp battery plus it can charge my devices too.

I still have gift cards laying around so who knows what Milwaukee stuff i might get.. i think the m18 speaker might be a little too ambitious for what u wanna do now.. i mighta rushed into that post without thinking it through... i like the idea of the smaller speaker again - and trying to mount it, instead of the thing just laying around.

Its very annoying when i cant hear Star Trek on Netflix over my phone when I’m sitting in the truck.. lol. I already bought ram mounts for my phone, and the gps.. i may pick up a shorter arm for this one, but i think if itll hang straight down, the weight wont be an issue. We shall see. Best part - itll look like a rear view mirror from outside.. nobody will even realize.

Got this in the mail today. $344 got me a NIB High Torque 2767, rubber boot, HD 9.0 battery, rapid charger, SAE impact set and a free T shirt. Had to bring it in to work tonight just to open it up and show it to my coworkers.
