Got some emails for sales on m12. Am I crazy, or has the fuel 1/2 ratchet surged in price? If I remember correctly, I saw it at 180 like the 3/8. On Home Depot right now, it’s 220. I could buy a long neck with that money!

Yup it's up there...all the prices have gone up after the end of the year Holiday sales

Have to follow the sales though, I got the 3/8" fuel with a free 2.0 battery for just $149

Right now there is Milwaukee Spring promo of 10% off a single M12 bare tool at many places like Tool Barn and Tool Up (likely the others major dealers like ACME CPO and Toolnut might have it too)

So be like $162 the 3/8" anyhow

My first Milwaukee tools

I have the straight cutting one and so far they seem to be the best sheers I have ever owned and seem to be holding up and staying sharp very well.

That’s almost the price of the m12 stubby.
Now protoolsreview.com have a write up about the fuel ratchet and they have the msrp at $159.99. I don’t remember what I paid for mine but I didn’t think it was that high.

Ya the 1/2 FUEL Ratchet was always just a $10 increase over the 3/8" version for the longest time. I'm seeing $199 at best right now. I initially wanted the 1/2" anvil for the maximum torque rating that was promoted on these tools and I intended to mainly use 1/2 drive sockets.

TGJ rational from several people had me reassess and go with the 3/8" and just add an adapter for several reasons..

1st reason the MAX torque difference isn't all that much (and really on the ratchets it simply a weird value anyhow as they are non impacting and its really grunt force to get there)

Secondly the 3/8" for me it is big and strong enough, as it is a heavy tool and bit cumbersome to use compared to the brushed version for a lot of jobs.

3rd factor in downsizing one step also saved a few bucks both on the list price and added tax and of course I got the promo with free battery add on,

Not to mention that you don't need to rely on the ratchet's torque to break the fastener free, that's what your arm strength is for :) Once you break the fastener free, you just need enough torque to overcome whatever friction/rust/corrosion is present when spinning the fastener out (or in).

If anyone wants to know where to get a great deal on the packout radio PM me, I dont want to post for the masses. Catch is you have to buy 2 so if you know a buddy who wants one, they end up being $184 each shipped.

I got 5, 4 of which were delivered today, other one coming tomorrow but I ordered something else with it the M18 router & a light..

Would be a good idea.. esp if it came in a plastic storage tray people could use in a toolbox drawer for orginazation, like the wrenches and sockets. I doubt it will ever happen though..

There’s a good side business idea for someone.. start making vacuum formed trays to keep the cordless m12 tools in a drawer.

does anyone else with the 90 die grinder fine the collect a bit tight ?
milwaukee should have come up with a tool free solution to tighten the 1/4 shanks.

I just had to send my die grinder back to Milwaukee because I couldn’t get the collet to release and I tried EVERYTHING. Luckily it was a one day turn around with free shipping so it’s scheduled to be back here on Monday.

I bought this off Ebay from CPO, 1 1/8" with two 9.0 batteries. Was nervous due to it being a refirb but it looks brand new. Not a mark on it besides the small engraving from the factory showing it is a refirb. I have the 12V SDS and was very happy with its performance. Looking forward to having a SDS with chisel function.

We’ll see on Monday. I don’t know if they’ll give any indication. I’m wondering if maybe the cheapo bit I was using was out of spec.

That's a heck of a good price even if it is a refurb. I paid close to $600.00 new for mine and it had 5.0 batteries.

What is the warranty like for a refurb?

The irony that the perfect tools to cut open plastic packing are, themselves, trapped inside PITA plastic packaging:lol_hitti

I need a good set of sheet-metal shears. Interested to hear your thoughts on them.

Oh if those wrappers are not easy to open. His first real use was yesterday cutting some pieces of aluminum. They cut well and feel comfortable in the hand, they do not feel very large or heavy, they are perfect for me. I can't compare them with other similar tools because I've never had tin cutting scissors before.

Just picked up a new m18 2780 fuel grinder and a unopened 9.0 battery for almost half of new. Pretty cool grinder, haven't used it yet but the paddle switch isn't my favorite. Just wondering how long the 9.0 battery will last? Have a couple 5.0s , how long would they last with light pressure grinding?
Bought it mostly for cutting bolts, light rust and paint removal etc. Mostly for when it's not worth dragging a cord out etc.

Do you guys think the rubber boots are worth the price?

I just did my first DIY project with my new m12 fuel impact driver and already scratched it up... I know it's meant to be used and it's not a museum piece, but it still makes me sad lol...

Do they ever go on sale? They just seem so expensive for what they are.

I have them for every tool which they are available but I am very particular and have issues.

Sometimes I get them with the $20 off 100 coupons with other things. For the ratchets and stubbies I got good deals on multi packs on eBay.

Home Depot is clearing out some 44-7/8” portaband blades. Two blades for $7.50, Box stated for corded and V28 portabands.

Yeah I'm very ****, so I probably need it :)

I can get one for $26 shipped right now off eBay. Thinking of pulling the trigger on it...

Just Milwaukee brand or all of them? Farm & Fleet dumped theirs over summer. I bought all of them for my corded one...I wonder if it is an industry trend or what :dunno:

Is there a recommended m18 circular saw model? I see there’s a bunch of different models but I don’t really know the difference, other than size.

I’m looking for a do-all hobbyist saw that’s got decent power and fairly accurate. I don’t use circ saws that often so I only have room in the budget for one that will handle whatever I throw at it.
