The hole got bigger.. but got it covered with tar paper for now. Oh did I mention the garage framing is rough sawn so repair to the drywall is gonna be a pain with shimming...

Still need to put the roof back on below it that braced the posts and finish siding... And fix the inside of the wall.

snow I am ok with other then i need to put a garage door seals on.

cold, still need to insulate the ceiling of the front 24 feet of the downstairs so I can heat upstairs. which means i need to seal each end of the trusses with foam board squares, and either put up more bats, or a alot of insulweb fabric to control blown in.

It will definitely be worth the effort. Supposed to be 80 this weekend and we are talking snow and insulation. Gotta love Maine.

well managed to only spend 400 bucks at the auction, picked up a project utility trailer, bunch of tools, small vice, weedeater that turned out to be ancient, etc.

not sure if that was a succes or failure.

oh and the auction made me want to buy a tractor even more... the freakin 15 year old john deere with 1200 hours went for almost MSRP...

No went and looked today. It's basically between nice aluminum one that good only for ATVs and is light to move or shove in the garage or 10 k hauler. Which won't fit in the garage.... And would enable me to spend lots of money on things I don't need.

When I bought my first trailer, I can only think of a couple times that I wished I had a smaller trailer, there were many times I wished I had a larger one though. You could also do it in stages or just buy two. Resale on a decent looking trailer is always good, I can't believe what people will pay for a used trailer.

Oh I agree bigger is better other then the ability to stick it in the garage loaded. Well and pick up the tongue and steer around the yard.

In that respect the smaller aluminum one wins hands down, but just think, you buy the bigger trailer and then use your new tractor to move it around the yard. ;)

Starting insulation in the front 2/3 ceiling. R 30 bats. Thinking of just one layer this time.

Foam blocks installed between trusses.

Old drill from the auction works good.

At least someone is being productive, I am stalled out with paperwork and other people's problems. If that drill could talk!

I hate insulation and I really don’t like drywall much either. It will look really good when you are done. Probably feel a bit warmer too! Did the compressor work?

No garage work for me today... Sitting with feet by the fire. Spent about 4 hours with wet boots at work.
Debating whether to add a couple floor outlets above... Would be usefull but I am sure they will end up not being where I need em

Floor outlets are great, until they aren't. Wet cold feet do not sound fun at all. Don't feel bad about not doing any garage work, I haven't touched my shop in at least a week.

All forward progress is good progress!

Wet feet = bad! Ever try NEOS overshoes? Best solution I've found short of a drysuit!
