A bit of both, at home I also use it for a CPAP and in the cooler/heaters for the beds.

Feel like I got some things accomplished, guess that is better than nothing. I am headed to the Salvage Garage, then depending on how I feel either some more errands or headed home.

Some of the parts to fix Clark’s exhaust manifold showed up today, I also ordered a carb rebuild kit, there is one gasket that has to be made, apparently it isn’t available anymore. I think I can find something that will work, seems like a standard donut gasket would fit, I guess I will find out. Probably tackle that project in the first part of May.

it happens more than you think. I found out the hard way at an auction once. Local community college had 3 projectors for auction, back when they were rare and expensive. 2 labeled "works good" 1 labeled "not working". I bid on them, won the bidding war with another lady who had been nosing around the projectors quite a bit. It was "how many do you want and which ones?" I chose the 2 with the works labels. After that, the lady who had been nosing around it with me bid up to about 20 bucks on the last one. guess what i got? One working, one not. She switched labels on me. So she got a working one for 1/10 what i paid for one working one. There's skunks everywhere.
It takes all kinds. We trailed a joker moving stuff around once buying what he was hiding.

I am going to do a few more outside things today before the rain hits.. I have been mixing things up trying to keep my elbow from getting any worse, so far so good, a couple more weeks and they will move me on to the next step, assuming it will be the dry needle process.

I found an interesting rolling ladder, going to take a look at it, could be something, or nothing. I am thinking for the new Conex, but it could be used in the shop as well. Pictures if I buy it, promise.

The ladder was exactly what I think I need….

;)

It uses a track, no I didn’t get any track (it is just pipe and would have to be customized for my application anyways), the ladder rolls forward and backwards, as well as side to side, kind of like a bridge crane. It also can flip off to the side so you can get by it without completely having the aisle blocked.

I am trying to get a couple more things done before it rains, it is supposed to rain for 36 hours or so and we are going to get a bit of water out of it.

Today has been an overall success and I can say that even this early, I already got more than I expected done. I have set things up for a productive week, fingers crossed things stay on course.

Slow progress, I am feeling the last few days, got wind burned on Wednesday and sunburned on Thursday, then Friday was just way too long.

I shuffled some trucks and trailers at the Hill, my Brother might be able to take down the big pine tree between the house and the wood shop, it is stuffed between the power lines and everything else.
If the tree is next to power lines have you talked to the power company to see if they will have their tree guys remove it? Sometimes the power company will do it at no cost as they don't want someone hurt and they don't want the expense of a power outage.

I had to adjust the rear brakes on the Blurb, I figure I am going to run out of adjustment at some point, did that, then did my normal inspection. Between when I swapped the tires over and now, I lost a front wheel bearing, I thought I felt it last night and today, but our roads are so crappy it can be hard to tell. Definitely bad, so the Blurb is on the lift waiting for parts, I think I have a wheel bearing, but it is over at the Salvage Garage, will check on the tomorrow. No sense in spending a couple hundred if I have one. I really should go through the entire front end, including the steering box. Bluetop doesn’t sell remanufactured ones, I would have to ship them mine to have it rebuilt. So much for keeping this week on target. :(

The power company doesn’t give a care, they have the tree guys limb everything within 10’ and after that you either wait for it to fall or deal with it yourself.

Drizzle and rain, rinse and repeat.

I did have a wheel bearing at the Salvage Garage.

Now I am researching container dollies for shipping containers. I know if I build an axle, I can use the Tru-Hitch to move the Conex myself, I kind of want to just do it and then I will have the experience. At least there isn't a big time crunch.

I have PT this morning, then I have to get all the info for the tower assembled and off to the engineer so we can get our structural analysis performed. I have a few things in the shop at the Hill I need to get done, then I start working on the actual office!

I have noticed in a number of videos that American roads are in a deplorable condition.

In my particular state, there are way more miles of road than tax dollars, plus the winter beats the ever loving **** out of what is there.

I will have to look over my office to do list, I had one, but it was a while ago and I need an abbreviated version now.

Today is a late start, had an appointment to deal with, now I have to drop off the iMac I couldn't get working, then hit the bank. Most likely grab lunch on the way to the Hill, still raining now, luckily I have some paperwork to deal with. I should have help on Thursday for the office, so I would like to get things ready for that on Wednesday. That help should be the push I need, from there it will be easier overall, I am going to setup a temporary printer and then the photocopier can be brought up when I have a couple people to help.

Picked up the new windows laptop, also grabbed a different mouse, I want to see if it will help with my elbow, I tried using my left hand and it wasn’t exactly graceful. Grabbing my lunch and then headed to the Hill to try and get something done today.

I did talk to my Stepmother and they will be back Saturday night, she also said that my Dad has either been on the phone with tech support or at Best Buy trying to get help with the new computer he bought, can’t wait. :(

As I was scrolling down, I noticed something unusual in the pic about the light bulbs. I actually see clear floor space. Not a lot but way more than normal cool beans.

Just ordered a few Conex moving supplies, got some lifting eyes, jacking plates and a chain bridle for dragging them. Should be enough to get the new Conex moved, shooting for next Saturday to try and lift it, still not sure how well Perk will do, I could also bring the Hyster forklift over and use it as well, it could probably pick the entire Conex if I could balance it properly.

Tomorrow is a bit of rain prep at my house, we have this setup roof that I was supposed to fix once we moved into the house at the Hill, we all know how that has worked out. Anyways, I am going to have to tarp it (again), then later this year it is getting a rubber membrane, the pitch is just too low for anything normal and I can justify installing a standing seam roof on it, I would guess it would be $7k plus just for this small portion of the house. It’s only temporary unless it works, right?

Got the brush to the dump, going to see about loading trash, I do not have a full load, but it would be nice to get it gone. Also thinking maybe a scrap steel run since Dad will be back Sunday. I am just not sure I want to beat on my elbow that much. After the rear tires on the ramp truck blew out, we couldn’t get the forklift up from the Quonset hut and had to carry everything up the stairs by hand, I had to give in after a dozen or so trips. Of course now the makeshift office in the house is torn apart and the new office is in process since everything that was touched had to be fixed. At this point the infrastructure is essentially there, I have to assemble things and organize things. Then I have to really bring stuff up a little at a time so that I can get organized without tripping over stuff. Of course I need the forklift and two people to get the copier up there, that probably won’t be possible for another week and a half.

Got three trips to the dump, one was just a mattress, but it needed to get out of the house at the Hill. Now I have to cut up some 2x4s for the next project, then get the leaf blower and go to the tower site and clear the leaves out from around the culverts so we can see what we are dealing with for next week.

Fingers crossed the rain holds off long enough for me to get things done.
