I am not sure on just bypassing the flow, the pump is a 3500 PSI at 3.5 GPM, most of the pumps for sprayer systems (that still use a bypass) are 6 to 20 GPM, but from 60 to 300 PSI. 3500 PSI is still 3500 PSI.

I think using the pressure washer would be an issue for volume of water. I need to have both functions, the Salvage Garage has no running water, so this will mostly be for the pressure washer over there. Having it capable of using both pressure washer and garden hose makes it functional for about anything. I picked up a pump, got the tank, also grabbed some hose reels that have been around for years. I will have to get some hose and fittings, then start laying things out and see what will fit.

Now I need to figure out what PSI the new pump puts out so I can buy the proper adjustable pressure relief valve. I will also have to install a new bulkhead fitting on the top of my tank for a return/relief line. Today is going to be a bit messed up, I am going to attempt to get the wheels and tires off the Ramp truck, then if that goes well, I bought some wheels and tires from a Buddy that I will need to pull off as well, then all the tires and wheels go to the tire shop so they can be swapped over, then reinstall them on the ramp truck. That will be a huge thing, then I can get the forklift up to use it as the elevator and finish moving the heavy stuff up to the office. I suspect that the tires will essentially take me the rest of the week depending on how the elbow feels. Technically, there are four trucks involved in this tire swapping, so I need to draw up a flow chart or Venn diagram to get things straight....

very little straw in maine, it generally costs multiple times what quality hay does, never mind mulch hay. And hay is better for seeding anything but a lawn as it may have its own seed in it.

That is the Perk wrecker and unfortunately my Dad is being a pain, so I won’t be owning it, he basically decided that if I fix everything, I can use it. It needs so much work that I told him the only way I could justify that would be to buy it, he has decided that he will let it sit, he doesn’t need it and he doesn’t want to sell it to me. He is just being a dink all around.

The orange Ford is a cab swap for someone else, I just bought the wheels and tires, I will use the tires for my crew cab project and I am giving the wheels and some of my old tires to the ramp truck as a good faith gesture.

Elbow is feeling like the cortisone shot will help, at least for a bit, then I can have them do a bit more aggressive things this winter.

Worst part is that my arms and legs are all itchy and I still have more hay to spread at the tower site. I plan on bringing change of clothes and heading home to take a shower, hopefully it will help, but who knows, might not even be related to the hay at all.

I doubt it, seems like they are just more potent to me. I have had it happen many times before, but only when I was wearing short sleeves and never really around my ankles and lower leg. I am going to try and take things easy for a bit and maybe I can get some of the office stuff done. Would be awesome to get the copier upstairs this week, so I will still need to try and get the wheels sorted for the ramp truck. I may go the easy route and just put the tires and wheels on as is, later I can drive the truck with the other wheels over to the tire shop and have them swap things over the rest of the way.

I’ve been burning brown tail nests for a week. they just hatched. Doubt they were in the hay but… Now my back pack sprayer is filled with soapy water. They curl up and die once the soap hits them. Trying to save my apple trees. They defoliate the tree in a short time.

Ever since Chuck was little he had a shiver, apparently it is some sort of neurological issue and it has gotten a lot worse in the last week. I hope it doesn’t keep getting worse, he has muscle spasms that make him shake and then they stop, but it is noticeable when he eats. Doesn’t seem to hurt him and if he gets rubbed along his head and neck it calms down to nothing. We always thought he was pushed out of the family and I think this may have been why. Fingers crossed it doesn’t get worse as there are no good treatment options, as no vet will touch him and if the state gets ahold of him, they would have him destroyed. I have one possible option, but it would be a last ditch effort and I hope it doesn’t come to that.

That is my Brother’s truck, Perk was on hauling duty. We had to haul his excavator and some logs, ended up being a lot less load than we thought, so Perk was overkill. I figured it was better than making an additional trip up there.

Today I am working on finding some files and setting up my computer upstairs in the office, I need to do some software installed and get a printer working. Of course there are dozens of things that have to be done before these simple things can actually be completed. Why would it be simple????

This afternoon has been terrible, I have done several things but it feels like all of them took me backwards. I need to setup the "old" computer to get some info off of it, but Apple used P15 (yes P) screws on the mounting screws. Luckily Mcmaster had bits in stock, so I ordered one (actually various sizes) and they should be here tomorrow. Otherwise I have to dismantle another computer and take off the mounting arm bits, then reinstall them and on and on and on. I would probably just do that, except my elbow is sore from yesterday and I can't afford to make it worse. I am at a loss for where certain paperwork has gone, there was almost an entire file drawer that had specifics on one of our towers, can't find one folder and somehow the engineering firm we have used for the last twenty years can't find the info on the foundations and won't do the analysis unless I come up with some info that I can't easily come up with. I am currently cleaning up the office so that I can start stuffing folders in the file cabinets. I am now essentially forced to do exactly what I didn't want to do, whatever, it is all my fault anyways, just like it always is.

I just hope that the next couple weeks get better, I have tried to cut my to do list down significantly, but all that seems to happen is I take all the things away that I enjoy doing in exchange for mundane BS thatI am not really getting paid to do. I need to make some changes, seriously thinking about shutting down all my projects and just deal with Dad and the office for the rest of the year. I am not sure if there is any other way to actually get things done. I can't get any real help, I can't do a lot of it alone (not without hurting myself), and the backlog keeps getting worse and worse. I am just waiting for something else to get dumped into my lap.

I am working on the latest computer, need to start updating software and syncing data, but I think I screwed things up by installing the POE filter on the coax. There was a ground and what looked like a filter already installed, but I could not confirm if it was the proper filter, but now that the new one is inline, my downloads are fluctuating from 5 to 10 Mbps, strangely, the uploads are still in the 15 to 20 Mbps range. I will uninstall it and see if things change, hopefully that will be my issue.

I brought an older printer upstairs, I ordered pieces and parts that I needed to complete a cabinet for office supplies, next week may be one of those weeks where I ignore everyone, not sure if I will be able to get everything done without being that drastic.

Might be easier on that elbow while it heals. But for your own self preservation you might divide the days between his & your projects.

Something like monday-wednesday focus on his stuff, then thursday-friday do your own things. Weekends decide as you go. Or whatever mix works for you. But still keeping some firm time set aside for your own stuff so you're not burning out working on his agenda every day.

His agenda is mine by default, not really sure where I stop when it comes to company duties. Heck even the water tank and pump is a blend. The tree removal yesterday was because my Brother had time, but needed help, on short notice, I am the one.

I fixed the download speeds, but now the upload speeds have been reduced to nothing, I hate Spectrum almost as much as I hate snow. I am just waiting for the fiber service to finish setting up, then I am using them and NEVER looking back.

I went down to the shop to shut things down, the door was open, wouldn't you know it, there was this really loud buzzing sound and I figured it was a couple of bumble bees at the lights. Nope, it was a hummingbird, I spent ten minutes trying to catch it, then it disappeared. I closed the door, then went to take the filter out, came back to put the nut driver away and the hummingbird was buzzing around again. Spent ten more minutes and this time I caught it, taped my hat to a broom stick and netted it while standing on the top of the step ladder. It made a noice that sounded more like a mouse than a bird, but it calmed down and I brought it outside, it was tired for sure. After a minute or so it flew 15' up into a tree, then sat there, I did a couple things and came back, it was still there. I did a few more things and then when I came back it was gone. Hope it survives, supposed to be pretty cold tonight, between that and the fact that it was beating itself against the ceiling for a good long time, well it could be a rough night.

the tremors could be a mineral deficiency, but im not sure which it would be. Theres things the soils are deficient in around here for livestock (most notably selenium) that need to be suplimented but that shouldn't be a problem for native animals.
