Had that this morning. Now it's 40-ish, and the trees have unloaded. Everything else has 3 inches of icy, slushy snot on it. The plow just struggled its way up the street, the snow is so heavy.
Messy wet snow that unless you have pavement, you need to hold the blade up a few inches. I did make it up the hill and out to the road. Trees are bent over into the driveway.
My power plant, humming along. I think this might be a long outage, it certainly seems widespread and all at once for everyone.

I had to plow out at my Dad’s so my stepsister could get to work, it was really only an issue at the road, I had plowed yesterday around noon, so I left the last four inches alone. This time of year is always a balancing act, plow too much and the road gets destroyed, not enough and you could end up with a frozen mess. I suspect most everything will be gone by next week. Damn, I am sitting in my recliner drinking coffee, but just pulled a lap blanket onto me. The pictures made me cold just looking at them. Looking for 63 degrees here today.I had to plow out at my Dad’s so my stepsister could get to work, it was really only an issue at the road, I had plowed yesterday around noon, so I left the last four inches alone. I plowed out the other local tower site, really pretty looking, but it is starting to turn to a misty rain, I suspect there will be more trees down.
Ground mount system here and it was enough snow to pile up and keep the rest from sliding off, had to go pack it down to get the rest of the snow offJust "Poor Man's Fertilizer." It won't last, and it's pretty for now. It's already sliding off the solar panels, and it's off the trees.

Just like that. Imagine if it would have been 4 or 5 degrees cooler how much fluff there would have been
That's serious snow! I love it!
Does your generator allows you to run the whole house or just keeping the basics going? We just saw the first estimate for our power restoration... Tuesday!
This morning is the beginning of day 4 on the generator.
I'm so glad that I decided to go with diesel fuel powered generator. The folks with propane gennys are running out of fuel.
I'm good for "normal" usage, including welders and air compressors and the houses needs.Does your generator allows you to run the whole house or just keeping the basics going?
Even with the office work, it sounds like you are still moving forward with the "Productive Stuff."I agree with that, might need a bit longer if the temps are crazy cold, but this time of year a couple hours would be fine.
I am over at the Salvage Garage, wanted to take a look at the auction place, it is still covered in snow, except for the low spots that have 8" of standing water, should be fine by tomorrow...
I guess my aim is the hyster P60 forklift and some random things that won't really matter if they sit in a puddle for days. I hope they change the date a week out, it would probably be perfect then, doubt they will change anything though.
