The mirror was probably worth good money, at one point.

Pines, that is the 9” grinder, it looks goofy with a 7” wheel on it.

Battery box is done, ended up using nutserts to hold it down, couldn’t get to the inner bolts at all, would need a 7’ tall contortionist to start them. I even installed a float charger port, will be doing this on all my vehicles, they sit more than most and I just need to do a rotation of charging.

I used it for a while and it only took out one bar, but that is on the 12.0 battery. I am thinking you could use it for probably 15 minutes continuously, maybe more, either way that is a long time to grind.

I think I figured out how to make the lid for the batter box, I was originally going to weld on tabs and use wing nuts, but I wanted it to be cleaner than that. I will have to play around with it sometime later this week. More office stuff today, yesterday was a pain due to the power outage at the office, no computer, that was the only reason I needed to be there. Friday looks like a nice day and I would like to get back to a tower and try and get something done, but that is a whole 48 hours away, you never know what will happen in that amount of time. ;)

Have to put dumpster inside to thaw for tomorrow’s pickup, hopefully this time it gets actually emptied rather than only 2/3rds.

Coming in early tomorrow to get things ready, have an insurance agent coming to give some opinions and ideas on how to proceed with the house, I want to cover myself and make sure my investment will be covered for the repairs I do.

The lights will get a good test tonight, hopefully everything works.

No fires, don’t have time to babysit.

I think a few more lights and some adjustments, Clark will become rolling daylight.

It was pretty warm today, so when I picked it up and tilted it, a ton of water ran out the drain, probably ran for 5 minutes straight. I let it sit a bit more at an angle conducive to draining, then moved it inside. Propped up the lids to let the air circulate a bit and hopefully it will be all thawed out by 7:00 am tomorrow. If not, then I guess I will have to manually break things up and reload it. I need to make a winter dumpster that has a mess bottom, that would keep things from getting completely frozen in. At least there is no trash that will stink as it warms up, that would be awful. :(

The only issue with the front lights is that they are too far forward, so the ones I put on the front cab corners will be very important, basically the load blocks the light getting to the forks.

It rained twice and a lot. So judging by how much drained out, I would say a good 20 gallons or more. I should have been paying attention, usually when I set the dumpster, I tip it to the drain side, then it will only hold a few gallons, but that probably wouldn’t have helped, the stuff was stuck to the very bottom and it was drywall and shingles. Fingers crossed that it all goes away this time. I overfilled it a bit, but I don’t care.

Now I still need to get two more bags to put out for the city pickup that comes free with the house. I also get a bunch of recycling too, so I can get rid of a fair amount of **** for free. Once the insurance agent figures out a plan of attack, then things should get going, of course the way things have been moving, I am not expecting anything to really happen until the first of the year. At least I won’t have to worry about the piles of trash being under all the snow or frozen in the mud and that was my main concern all along.

My GF is on vacation so we headed to the closest IKEA, 2.5 hours of flimsy drawers, craptastic MDF, and highly flammable furniture, it was fun, not really, but I did get to see some really cool mini pallet jacks. I also bought some sour gummy Vikings., those are really good. Anyways, we are now at the Cheesecake Factory and this group just left, there are at least four plates with half a slice of cheesecake on them, I am in awe, my GF says that it is cheesecake abuse. Anyways here are the pictures of the pallet jacks.

I've never been there but I love cheesecake. I don't get the fascination with Ikea. It's just cheap knock down furniture. I do real woodworking though so maybe I'm just a snob. (Shrug)

My GF thinks it is great, she wants to do the kitchen with their cabinets, I will say they have some nice features, but no way will they hold up to years of usage. I consider them the Harbor Freight of furniture, instead of smelling like nasty rubber, you smell Swedish meatballs.

I will have to check out the lights, I placed an order the other day, so probably won’t help me too much now. :(

Today was terrible, I had to work to earn money. Usually I make other people work so I can earn money, let me tell you, that is a much better way to do it. ;)

Spent almost the entire day on a tower troubleshooting an antenna and line. They said it was a simple line swap on a 100’ guyed tower, turns out to be a line, antenna, and troubleshoot job at 150’ on a wide self supporting tower. Worst part is I forgot to bring up my phone, so no pictures of my boots. :(

I want to use Lista cabinets in the kitchen, but I have to convince my GF. I think I can get away with it if I add wood faces.

I was just thinking that same thing as I then scrolled to your post. All those drawers for kitchen utensils. What a great idea. Now sell her on it!

I love the Lista idea. Do they make drawers deep enough to store pots in?

They make them pretty deep, but even using a shallow drawer you could make a nice setup for pots and lids, just make the drawer front tall. I may play around with it a bit, there is still the possibility I could end up with another dozen or so cabinets, my Snap On driver is always trying to sell another dealership on his cabinets, if it happens, I will buy all the Lista cabinets for sure.

Ditto on the Lista kitchen cabinets. How about a shiny red, silver, grey or white face? Basically IKEA but better. 6d7b4582a5f4fde7083e11df7d044c9d.jpg

Then you can use the Schaller bins for utensils.
