I remember when corona was just a bad tasting beer, how sweet it was....

I don’t have a count of my vehicles, it is kind of scary.

I have been trying to social distance myself from you guys, but it is really hard to read the posts from ten feet away.

Just loaded up on supplies, kind of felt like Red Dawn, except no firearms. I am going to fill up a few more trucks, still want to get propane, and the rear window is fixed on the burb.

I think it looks pretty good, front molding was off a bit, but it was decent for the price. I think the installer was being show car picky.

Also heard back on Perk’s rear gears, should be done in the morning, so hopefully will have that back together tomorrow night. Reminds me, I need some gear oil.

If the guy is doing you a favor, then good is good enough.
If you’re paying the guy, then you want him to be show car picky.

Now, go teach that jack handle what keeping a social distance means.

You guys are making me feel like a total slacker> We only have 9 cars and at least 3 of them are usable, with two of them driveable within the next week or 2.

Covid19 can arrange that for you... Yikes.

I've got you all beat on cars. I stopped counting at 20

Including the ones from the small business fleet that I maintain, but do not drive all of them, I've got 20 beat. I scrapped 2 last year, but bought 3...

What is this "sell" you all talk about? :headscrat

I think I have only sold one or two vehicles, I do hope to change that, generally they seem to be worth more if you sell them before they become scrap.

Just got some great news, the guys that are rebuilding my rear found a 3.55 gear set, so I will have a much better highway speed at a much lower RPM now and I can pick it up after lunch. :)

Thanks guys, had a chuckle on the back of the truck comment!

Should be installed tomorrow night, then I have to figure out the transmission and speedo deal, looks like there is a tone ring and I have to get the proper pulse width for the new gears, will be talking to Freightliner tomorrow.

I talked with the guy that I bought the horse trailer from, he said he was out straight for the next week or so, he is hauling show horses out of Florida and I guess they are talking about locking down the state border, all the horse shows are now canceled, so he is trying to beat the clock. I figure I have plenty to do before I need that trailer, so I will just talk to him in a couple weeks.

Rumors, and they are just rumors are that the feds will probably place a country wide quarantine in the near future. Don't take that with a grain of salt, more like a 5# block of it.

The rumor is my back is junk and doesn't want me to get anything done. :(

I am going to attempt to do as much as possible without making things worse, I have help this evening and I do not want to lose momentum if possible. I had planned to go to the SG and retrieve a few more things, I will have to see how things feel this afternoon. Yesterday I was OK after moving around a bit, so hopefully it will be the same today.

Hope everyone has some lime with their corona......

On the rear side window replacement, do you know if was glued in or does it have clips.

Looks like it was glued, I didn’t look at the new glass really close, but there were no clips on the old one, just lots of glue, it was tough to get off, actually took some paint with it in a few spots.

Back is feeling a bit better, assuming it will hurt more tomorrow. We are almost done with the rear end, need to wait until tomorrow to fill it with oil, but I need to move it outside tonight to unload a truck, then move it back in, don't think 100' round trip will destroy anything.

Strouty I have been bent over welding for two days, I feel your pain buddy.
It will be slow and easy for a couple of days. If I sit down and quit its game over. Gotta keep moving. Sounds like you are gaining on that truck.

I pulled it out, unloaded the vise and grinders from the truck, then we pulled it back in, will add fluid tomorrow.

Also spent some time taking measurements on OMO and I can see we need to get weights of the front axle, it could be tough to keep the wheelbase I want and not overload the front axle.

I also may be buying another truck, but just for the parts, may even be able to make a little money flipping the parts, local truck junk yard said they would either buy the rest of it or trade parts for it, I like that idea.

I have done needles, back adjustments, injections, and drugs. They all work for a little while. The best way is to be active and continually doing things that involve physical work. I ice skate and ski don't work out in a gym, I have been ******* 40lb bags of top soil for my garden. I tried 30 years ago to just pushing papers and very little physical work and back hurt more.

Life is a trade off I hurt and I hobble at times but would not have done it any other way.

I don't balance things well, I tend to go all or almost nothing, I hope that this year I will get back into doing a more regular exercise routing, even if it is just walking. In theory working at TH will help that, I can easily do some office work, then take a break for a walk, then do some shop work. At the SG, I haven't had the option of really doing the office work, it was a 40 minute drive to the office.

Got perk out, did a quick redo of the hydraulic lines and the line I thought was blocking up the flow seems to fix the issue now that it is dumping directly into the tank.

I also messed with the speedometer and changed it to match the calibration for the new gears, will try and check it with GPS this afternoon. Need to unload the sander from the ramp truck, then the OGMC has to come out of the shop temporarily.
