I have been revisiting my projects and financials, I think I am going to shift my priorities a bit, been thinking about this anyways with all the BS going on with the family business drama. I would like to concentrate on some of the more important projects, but in a more systematic way, I feel things have been *********** out of control a bit more than normal. I only have myself to blame, luckily I have a bunch of solid advice from people that listen to me spew my hollow explanations on why I need to buy this project, or that project. The justifications have always been around, I need to start calling them excuses instead. My monthly expenses are getting up around the highest they have ever been, I don't like it, not one bit. I am putting together a list of what needs to be done to get these expenses under control. Sometimes it is easy to forget how much money is going out when you spend too much time on other people's issues and I have clearly done that over the last three months. My payments have almost doubled due to the new projects and commitments I have made, I don't like feeling surprised by something that I did by neglecting any actual thinking. Plan is to have this dealt with before winter, then I can concentrate on my projects that I already own.
Unfortunately this will sound like double talk, but I still have to buy one more carcass of a truck, $1,500 will get me about $5k in parts needed for OMO. I also would like to pursue the southern burb, but if it doesn't happen, it isn't the end of the world.
In order to do this, I need to sell a few things and reprioritize some of my spending habits. Will there be some setbacks made, I am sure, but I will continue to acknowledge them. I actually think I have been doing much better overall, no need to celebrate, but I do see improvements. There is only one thing in the last month that I wish I hadn't bought and it wasn't anything major, a stainless sink at $50. Hopefully that will be a similar trend in the future, with less and less regrets. Thanks for listening (or reading).
