I have some additions to my collection. I've had a set of the red picks for a while now, and decided to add these. This is also my first set of green and orange snap-on tools, as I'm usually a black/red kinda guy.

Red picks
Green Torx
Orange pocket-screwdrivers and Spark plug gapper

WANTED: Black mini 4pc screwdrivers

I have been watching it also. This is at least the second time they have been listed. He first had them at $159 or $169, don't remember exact number. I search ebay for RED Hard Handle screwdrivers every day.

Well not literally! I did have this set for a while and just sold it last week. But I will be selling the few others of this same boxed set once I can decide to part with them (emotionally that is) :)

I took a spare mini pick, and turned it into a multi-bit driver today.

5¾" overall, which may be a little too long, but I'll try it for a while and see how it goes.

The pick:

What was used. The wrench was slid up to the handle to prevent damage when removing from the pick.

In the hand:

Anyone have an extra mini orange t-8? Bought my 12pk mini set on Craigslist awhile back and the t8 was missing. Willing to pay or barter...

Thanks! I wish they did, so I made it!

Works great. The kit is originally from Harbor Freight, but the bits are well made. The t5 torx fit into the screws on the side of my phone absolutely perfect, no complaints here!

I would gladly make another for anybody in the color of their choice.

Do they have to have the pocket clip to be in the 'pocket screwdriver' class ?
If so then I got nothing.
Closest is spp-46

Edit: I've got one of the freebie types with the magnet in the handle as above.
Comes in handy for grabbing tiny things that awkward greasy fingers can't pick up!

Great job, I love to see custom made tools. How did you remove the pick shaft without damage to the handle? Same for reinstalling the new shaft, retention? I have a few screwdrivers I've been making handles out of and seem to be hit and miss on getting the handle off in one piece. :headscrat

I love them. I got 5 off ebay. Never use them as a screwdriver, I use them for disconnecting electrical connections, picking at stuff, what have you.

I was in the garage with a camera the other day. I need to find an orange handle to make my Metripack connector tool match my pick set.

It's a careful process, I put the shaft of whatever I'm working on through an appropriate sized socket, then the shaft in the vise. Pry up on the socket against the vise with a pry bar. Never broken a handle, and you can usually not tell that it was pried off.
