That Pep Boys sign was in the window of a building on Market Street in Philly announcing a new location for a Neon Museum. There were several others. And on a little placard next to it was the image of an even cooler, older, dessicating, counter top sculpture of Manny, Moe, and Jack. Check it out...

I have other cool old tiny tools but I don't feel like looking for them right now.
I've had this adjustable craftsman wrench for maybe 20 years. Always used it as a keychain. But I have used it as a wrench a handful of times. It opens less than 10mm.

Well, if it fit a 10mm you would have lost it long ago...

This is the tiniest tape measure I have. It measures an inch and a half across and has a quarter inch wide blade that is four feet long. At $.50, I paid just over a penny an inch for it.



The black surface in this photo is Richlite. It is a leftover chunk from a countertop I installed years ago. Now it is an 1-1/4" thick section of bench top. The company requires that you take a class to become certified to buy/install it. My buddy with a cabinet shop was able to get the pieces for me. It is cool stuff, made up of many layers of some sort of paper that is laid up in some kind of resin. It is very dense and durable.







fwiw, Read Products is still in Seattle, with the same phone number, but now they specialize in wood composite cutting boards.

Those are Chinese volts, only equal to maybe 50 or so us volts..

I have a set of 4 stubbies similar to those. 1 1/4 inch long. 2 straight, 2 {Phillips). I forget the brand, sort of a dimestore brand but they work well in tight crevices.

One nite this last week I came up with a pretty nice small wrench set that I didn't realize I had and then a really small aluminum handled screwdriver. I thought then I needed to look up the tiny tool thread as I hadn't seen it in awhile. The thread made it back to page one and I went tonite to get the wrench set and the screwdriver to take pictures but couldn't find that screwdriver to save me. Par for the course around here.
1st is a 1/8 thru 3/8 combination wrench set. The wrenches are marked Zim tools.
2nd picture is a Bonney ignition set with utica 4 in. adjustable and pliers.
3'd picture is a new Britain ignition set.
4th is an accumulation of 3/16 wrenches. 15 are Williams superwrenches an 2 are proto shown with a Cresent and Bet'r-grip 4 in. Adjustables. The DBE is a Bonney 3/16 x 13/64. I got all of the 3/16 at an auction and if I remember right they were all together with no other wrenches to speak of. I haven't gave up on my little screwdriver. If it shows up I'll put it on sometime. -Gary.

I was getting a tooth implant to replace a lost tooth the other day. The dentist tightened the implant socket into my mouth using probably the tiniest torque wrench I've ever seen. It's about 3" long. As a contrast, I saw the next torque wrench at a garage sale the following Saturday. That one is at least 3 FEET long. (I thought the picture was better than it turned out...)
