Just got this in a box of old random tools, sticky but works. Any info? Value? Was just going to throw it up on eBay but decided I’ll start posting here and see how it goes.

Beware... it's likely to go down a slippery slope of tool collecting. Within a short while you may be broke, and renting old shipping containers to stash heaps of tools into :lol_hitti

Oh I’m already there my friend! I’ve just been picking out items that don’t get to see the light of day and sending them off to a good home!

I have a couple of those. They are in the 10$ to 20$ range. If you have any of the sockets for it I am looking for some.

Even though I don’t collect Blackhawk, I couldn’t leave this 1/2” drive extension with the sleeve behind.

Good trade bait, Don. They go missing from sets.

EDIT:
I hardly ever show tools before cleaning, but these are the Blackhawk wrenches I pulled out of that big antique fixed socket era lot yesterday. I just snapped this quick pic for Todd.

3122 (11/16") loop handle offset
3116 (1/2") tee handle
5020 (5/8") brace speeder with rotating handle
5120 (5/18") brace speeder with rotating handle and rotating swing grip
6118 (9/16") speeder with doorknob end
6124 (3/4") speeder with doorknob end

I forgot this No. 5624C C.W.C. Rim Wrench and Tool. The service opening in the socket is 3/4". 1930 catalog shows it on a No. 494 Rim Wrench Board.

I will post more photos of all these when I get them cleaned up.

Well done Don. That is a trade bait. I finially found one after a year of searching. The crimp sleeves can fall off or be cut off. I found 2 extensions this way.

Had one of those eclectic finds days yesterday. It included this early patent pending Blackhawk 151 drain plug wrench.

They branded that "the Adjusto", Bill. Very cool find!

I posted a 1935 Blackhawk catalog excerpt of the Adjusto in the Park Metalware (pre-Xcelite) thread. Why there? you might ask. Because, although I am a huge Blackhawk fan, and they don't seem to get as much credit for their innovation and design creativity next to Snap-on, Plomb and others, I believe they "appropriated" this concept from Park Metalware, who patented it 10 years earlier. Zilliox was a genius. Link here if you're curious. Scroll down to post #3 for the Adjusto cat page.

I left plenty of Blackhawk behind on Saturday since it all had markings from the previous owner but this non-reversing ratchet with a captive plug was too nice to leave behind despite the marking. It’s available for trade to a Blackhawk collector.

Looks like a 9811. Blackhawk had a series of those pressed steel clunkers, starting with the 911.

Blackhawk 40326 1/2 drive deep socket in 13/16. Date code of 1 and the chrome finish indicates 1941.
Reviving a Sep 2019 post of yours, I found a mint-y 1941 dated 40316 in that 3-groove Lock-On era series (Extra Deep) at the flea market yesterday, Jock. Spent a good 10 minutes checking and re-checking the same box and a few other boxes in the same liquidator's lot for others to no avail.

I've finally finished my 30-K set. Here it is along with a few extra 7/16ths bits that I have stored in there.

Well done. That series Blackhawk is very rare to find around here. I can actually say I have seen more torpedo boxes that drive tools in the wild.

Looking for the following Plomb Pebbles Wrench 3061

For a while there I saw torpedo boxes one after another on Ebay. That faded away now. I'm glad I found one in nice shape!

Congrats, Sonny.

Thanks Lugz. One day I may have a museum like you and Twertsy!

Congrats horse. Beautiful set!

Thank you!

Fantastic set. Nice to see one such nice shape!

Thank you! I know that you have quite a collection and hearing your input on condition reinforces my own belief that this is a nice solid set.

Sorry, posted in 4 different places, but fit it all well

too tired after work and then going to the next state to pick it up.

Did not have a good chance to look it over - I wonder if there are any stampss on these boxes which would indicate model, age, etc (too much grime on it now, will have to go slow)...

As said in the other thread, nice find. You scored a cool box.

Bid on this little 1/4 ratchet a 24991 nnd got it. Funny thing, my bid had to be a day before a member mentioned this particular ratchet to me, and I hadn’t even told him I bid on this because I totally forgot.

So, here is the ratchet, along with the obligatory dime photo.

I was concerned about it only working one way, so I shot some WD in there and now it works great.
