Yesterday was a typical Monday for me except dealing with the snow. After figuring out that the battery in the plow truck was junk, I got a new one(2 year old Marine battery that someone left on the side of the road) in it and put some gas in the tank and commenced to clearing the parking lot. Now it's a skating rink. Maybe if one of my buddies stops by with a sander, I'll have them give it a coating. Otherwise it'll eventually melt.

Today will consist of a motor transplant in an S-10 pick up, some sheet metal repair on an older CR-V, and starting to rip the heads off a 6 liter chevy truck. There's no sign of any slow down in the near future. Still have several more covered with snow and waiting to be brought in. One at a time I suppose.

Guys, thanks for stopping by and leaving a post.

You're working too hard. Mind you, we are over 100 degree F here, so I'll send some your way if you want . . . .

Lyndon, some of your heat would be appreciated here right now. They are calling for daytime highs on Friday to be in the teens (F) overnight lows below 0*F. Brrrr.

And while you're off to bed, I'm off to work. Thanks for stopping by.

Damn, it's 84 right now. I'm enjoying some nice weather while I can. Getting too old to deal with that summer heat anymore.

It's snowing and cold outside here today so I decided to get the motor wiring finished up (that Tinker Rick started). It turned out the motor that came with the DP was junk. So I got another one and now it up and running. I still have a few things to do before using it. Like turning the lower head around so I have a work table.

Drill press looking good! Another piece of pipe and two tables and you have two drill presses.

Did you ever figure out why they had two heads? Still looks like a rotary table.

Do they make motor marmalade for toasted motors?:dunno:

Dan, great progress..

Regards

Thanks 1/2 cup it's always nice to see you stop by and always have kind words. You are truly a gentleman.

Whatta dump! I can see concrete! Slacker!

Unlike 1/2 cup, it is never a pleasure to see you stop by. You are neither a gentleman or ever have any nice words to add. That being said, thanks for popping in JC, you're always a .........I don't know what you always are. Drive slow on your way back to Ohio, it's pretty slippery out on the roads.

Andy, don't know why but I think I'll keep it that way. It's very unique for sure. Makes for a lot more depth adjustment when using it, as the lower head can be raised and lowered as well without having to move the top head or bottom table.

It's heading to 48*F here today and then drop down to 10* tonight. I had better get all those vehicles cleared of snow or they'll be huge blocks of ice come morning.

Wow dan it looks a little chilly. -12C.

At least you have fishnets and drill presses to keep you amused in the shop.

Stay warm.

Haha Rod. Am I supposed to wear the fishnets or look at them to keep warm?:D

I got it done in a record three hours.

As you can see, there are a couple of dead ones sitting with snow around them. I'm not up (and have no help) to drag them out and plow. So I guess they'll sit there until I can move them.

I wish I was having your weather here right now. I'd be thinking about mowing the lawn and having a cold one instead of snow removal.

Thanks for checking in mate. You're up a little late tonight. Or maybe you're up a little early:dunno:

Record heat again today of 86 deg. Not that I really want that much snow, wish the heat would go away.

Shop looking good Dan. Maybe I'll get some done in mine now that France project is almost complete.

Dan: Did you ever get your lathe leveled? Good cold days diversion.

Wish I had been there to help clear snow away! In Oklahoma we wish for snow for Christmas, and got a dusting last night so we're good for the year.

Merry Christmas!

Andy, I wish you could have been here to help with the snow removal as well. Maybe some day we will actually sit across from each other and have a good laugh sharing humorous tales.:dunno:

Thank you Kirk. I know what you mean but it's all we have to work with. If I didn't already, I hope you and your family have a truly wonderful Christmas.

DLC: Merry Christmas to you and your family and it sure looks like Christmas at your place with all that white stuff. raining and 40's here today and maybe snow next week, but it was maybe 60 and sunny last monday and tuesday.

here's to what has been a great 2016 and looking forward to staying above ground and having even a better 2017.

keep posting your positive posts all over GJ cause it takes so many of us with a good word or two to help those that might be struggling more than we are some days.

cheers (ice tea for this old guy)
