Thanks Cuda, please forgive the Neanderthals posting on my thread. What can I say?:dunno: I'm anxiously waiting for it and will add it to the wall upon arrival and post pictures. Thanks again for adding another 1000 views to my thread.:D
I am pretty sure it's a poster. Now why would I think that?
And as for Neanderthals? Well I should be insulted but I've been called worse. LOL

Dan, just so you don't think I forgot. I do have something for your wall of fame but being you're going to be down here in a few months i thought I'll give it to you in person.

D, I have every state of the US covered for plates, the oldest is a 1956 Californian and the newest is a 1992 Maryland. They are all alphabetically on the cupboard doors above the benches. I have a couple of Asian and a couple of islands, but still more to go.

You know the three big lies

1 It's in the mail
2 It's on the truck
3 Of course I'm safe

Well, it's in the mail

(intended to be a hostage photo, you know I've got it if it's on the broom machine, or somebody's broom machine)

Why thank you Andy. (I think :dunno:) If it's in the mail, when I get it, I'll proudly display it on the wall.

Bob, you said it eloquently. Old, convicts, women..........let's see what could I possibly add to that:headscrat: I'm open to suggestions guys.

Gerard, I figured you'd be part of the wall at some point. Oh wait a minute.........you ARE going to become ANOTHER WALL shortly, who can beat that?:rocker:

So I am finally updating the wall.

I am digging the wall... however, that's a pretty tough crowd to compete with, I don't have CudaChick's legs or powder **** creativity, nor Bob's skills, knowledge, or collection so do you have like a little dusty corner for the rest of us lowly GJ commoners... :)

Dan, I believe the creator of one of the drool-worthiest welding tables on the GJ (the world?) is calling himself a commoner.

Duke, I think Bob may have a good point. Maybe you should have your own wall. I'll see to it that you have a dusty corner.;)

I'm with Duker on this one.My plan was to deliver a plate perssonly, but with our dollar in the s#####er,not going to happen this year.

Grizz, As much as I would like you to personally deliver something to add to the wall, I'll be happy to wait until it can happen. But if something shows up before then I'll proudly add it to the collection.

I had to quote you on this one Bob as Duke needs to hear it from more than me.

All of you guys.........Thanks for stopping by and helping this thread have a little more life.

Dan & Bob, thank you for the comments but I feel privileged to even be considered for the "dusty corner."

I may have to try and a deliver a little Texas sized something personally like Grizzley Guy! It's been too long since I visited my favorite plane maker in Warren or perused through the bins of goodies at Liberty Tool in your part of the country.

Regards, Duke

There you go again. Showering me with all your love. Dufus is something my wife calls me, so I take that as a name that means "dear to my heart"

Thanks JC....I think you're okay too.:willy_nil:scared:

And I'm sure you're too cheap to spend the money it'd take to mail me a plate.:spit:

I've been wanting a lathe for a long time but the right deal hasn't come along until this past weekend. I found this little puppy about an hour from my shop. It's a Logan 820. I'm still researching the year it was made. The former owner thought it was around a 1945.

I haven't got the motor mounted yet.

20161101_062259.jpg

The previous owner had no way of loading it as an assembled unit so he had to take it apart and we loaded the pieces. He had no manual to give me. I don't know if any of you noticed but when I reassembled it, I mounted it backwards on the tray. So now I've got to get it turned around before I can mount the motor. More pictures to follow when it's up and running.

Here you go Andy.

And to answer your question. No. My only experience with lathes is from different kinds of lathes. Years ago I worked as a optical lab tech. We had glass lathes as well as metal lathes to cut the tools we used in the polishing process. So this will be a learning curve for me. Any advice anyone care to share with me?

And no the guy didn't give it to me but I don't want to tell you guys that I paid $500.00 for it 'cause then it would sound like I was bragging again.:willy_nil
