Hey Dan, the garage is looking great, I really like the steep pitch of the roof - it should give plenty of space for a loft (although I guess it's probably for something more mundane - like shedding snow, etc.?).

I was away from the GJ for several months (mainly due to poor internet), but I'm back thanks to a new phone and the GJ app.
But it has some limitations (or maybe it's me that has limitations) - I have trouble finding a thread, unless I can catch some recent activity.
I've only just found yours again (I can't actually find my own, so don't feel left out [emoji1] ), so keep posting so I don't lose it again.

Great to see you posting again. [emoji106]

Thanks guys.

rmalkow2, they actually were delivered on Friday. Now if I can just find time and (weather allowing) to get them installed.

BB, guess what, the pitch is not for something as mundane as snow sliding off (although it should help) I purchased attic trusses and it will allow me to have a 14'x24' room upstairs.

Thanks for stopping.

Dan, that's some nice old school construction with the plank sheathing. I also like the attic space. Make sure you insulate it well so it doesn't get too cold in the Maine summer nights for the Forida Chapter of the GJ visit. We're having some nasty winter weather right now -- it was in the 60s the last few nights. We don't normally need heat this early.

Funny that, we are dropping into the '40s and still have the bedroom window open. However I do remember living in Hi and when it got into the '60s we didn't have enough blankets in the apt to keep warm. ;)

DLC: did you get the roof on and the garage doors on before the snow showed up? looks great and hope it's big enough. also wish I had room to build one on my lot so I don't have to move to get one.

If there were anyone of you that was going to notice my presents in a minute, it was going to be you my friend. I'm thinking it's been too long . I'm climbing out of a deep coma and hoping the damage was minimal. Can't say anymore than that.

Dan, great to see you back. I was worried that you did something wrong and couldn't get the door on the new garage to open. I've locked myself out a few times -- Liane swears she didn't do it.

Glad to see you back!!

Why do you want to see my back? I'm no Sean Connery, but not all that ugly:confused:

Hey Dan, welcome back.

How's everything going with you?

All is well Mark. And you?

Bob, my wife picked out a bed and bath door handle so I don't lock myself in of out. She must be trying to tell my something. :dunno:

Yay......you're back!! Thought you got snowbound.

Hey Billy, I thought we texted each other enough all winter. Did I let you think we get snow up this way.:lol_hitti

Welcome back Dan. Hopefully the WOC will let you come out more often.

Gerrard, funny you should mention the WOC. I was thinking about a new thread called, "The WOC revisited.." What do you think?

Well now that the weather is warming up and the snow is almost gone, I've got someone that is going to put the metal roof on for me in the next week or two. The guy I originally hire to do it last fall died. I'm sorry for his family's loss, but I've never had anyone go to that extreme to get out of working for me. Thanks for stopping by. I'll update soon.

Dan welcome back. I will be going north sometime over the next month hope to visit you. When are visitors hours at the prison? Are you on parole and do they allow you shop time. Can you make knives there? Seriously, hope every thing is well with you and yours; good to have you back.

DLC: so are you really BACK or just poking your head in?

of course you were missed and with a new garage to finish we all hoped you were going to finish it before you met your maker. best of luck with the roof.

Yeah well, I just thought I'd chime in with everyone else. LOL

Fair enough. And I was wondering if that hail did much damage to any of the vehicles?

So you found out what happened to me Bobby. You must have recognized me on the national news trying to scale the wall at the white house.:lol_hitti
Andy made me a shank and baked it into a cake. It kept me safe in the showers.:bounce: And I hope you let me know when you get up this way. This time we need to make time for a longer visit.

You've been missed. Glad to see you back.

Thanks Kirk. I missed talking to all you guys.

Drives, no way of knowing what the future holds for any of us but I'm planning on being around. I'll be posting pics of the new garage as things progress.

Well guys, it happened. The new crew showed up and put the roof on. No one died or got hurt.

And I also wanted to thank Andy again for sending me this really cool hammer he made. It's #28

Strouty, it was good to see laast Friday. Sorry for your wasted trip to look at the crane but glad you stopped in to see us.

Duker, yep, it must have been a full moon or something. Nines doesn't show up very often. But I talk to him a fair amount and he's doing good out in your neck of the woods. He's found himself a nice looking and apparently a very nice woman.

Thanks for the visit guys.
