My 4 year old floor paint has suffered badly, probably due to poor preparation although I would have expected it to stand up to petrol spills without softening and wrinkling! It sticks to my tyres very well, but not the floor!
So I have been considering tiling the floor after looking at many gorgeous garages on this forum. My question how well do tiles, both hard and vinyl (or whatever the plastic ones are made of) cope with axle stands, trolleys jack, engine stands, tool box wheels etc? Would not the high pressure under the wheels of your engine crane not be enough to crack a porcelain tile when lifting an engine off a chassis?
