Re: 1970 F250 Ranger Project R-S 2014
Thanks! I think I spent more time on Mirrors than planned for entire truck. LOL!
Thanks! 3m Perfect It II 06086 Pricey but used it on Paint, Glass, Plastic, Stainless, emblems. Amazing stuff. Nothing that I have found will bring out the color in these old baked on enamels and keep them nice. It just does not fade out weeks or months later. I used same stuff on my '65 F250, tried everything else I had used prior and after a few months would fade again. After using this 3m stuff it looked beautiful 3yrs later. The Special wax may also help. This is what I found best on my Boss 302 also.
I use a very very low RPM so pad is barely turning. Not sure how when or why but it works. Maybe 5-10lbs pressure
Naw, Think its a different truck . . . I had a friend who stopped by today and saw truck in shop and was wondering what happened to the other OLD truck! It was like, no, seriously what happened to the "other" one? LOL!
Right now there is probably 1/2 the hours of what a complete restoration takes.
Complete opposite of a typical car where the paint and body work is the most time consuming. If anyone ever decides to paint this one it will be a total cake~walk. Hard part is done . . .
'65 and the '70 Boss. (I need to look at old pics once in a while to keep me motivated and that I am not so old I can no longer do this)
Already looking at my dream vehicle for next project! LOL! Anyone else this dumb?
Simply amazing, lots of hard work but it looks great

That's a cool project! Nice work!
What compound did you use to buff the windshield?
