Sometimes you still can see old handles but you can´t get a complete collection of old handles anymore. Sometimes you see the old black/yellow ones too.

When I received mine the Facom sticker on the shipping box had the COO, but was too faint to read, and also had another sticker over it. Nice box regardless of COO

Of cource; Made in Italy, as these are again from 1980's. What a shame that biger flat chisel is used bit too much. Cape chisels are unused.

Actually i don't have any favorite hammer. This Osca is a good club hammer, the aluminium shaft inserted into the plastic handle is a smart idea. It also have the Safety label "GS" (Geprüft sicherheit).

can you report their actual performance for engineer hammer and some close-up PICS please?

I haven't had a whole lot of things to use it on yet, but the engineers hammer came in handy when replacing the engine lid shocks on my 911 yesterday. As far as hammers go, it's pretty comfortable in the hand and is well designed. The 300g hammer is pretty tiny, but it definitely has its uses. I'll probably order a larger version the next time I get something from Gedore.

ok some pics i meant to post ages ago, firstly ones of the inside of the Gedore ratchet i promised weeks ago, nicely made, and has 3 positions its in the center position there, completely locked but its a bit unbalanced imho, handle is a bit light compared to the head and a little course (34 tooth?) so once i get it back together it will be up for sale

and a bonus one of it next to a pair of unknown manufacturer German made pointed pliers

set of habero pin punches, not had the chance to use these but will come in handy the plastic guard saves bashing your hand if your being clumsy (there small diameter ones)

old Moore and wright micrometer, made in Sheffield England not sure when its from, maybe 70's? really good nick, just a bit of patina on the painted part, looks to have been well looked after.

Its my grandfathers footlocker from when he was in the Army in WW2. I keep almost all the old tools I have in it. All are American made except for a few European things. Someday(when I get a photo hosting account with no bandwidth...) I'll get detailed pics of everything inside. Some tools date back to 1800's...

I got myself another old Bahco with broken handle, and Snap-on dealer stopped by at my workplace, so...

Finger ratchet is sometimes needed, and it´s fun to do it yourself...

Bad pictures again, but billet is Heyco product with smooth and
sophisticated mechanism. This thing was also freebie, since retaining ball is not able to hold the socket anymore. Special thanks to my friend for drilling the SO-handle and knurling the fingerthingy

First stop(theres many... ) was Rinks a flea market where I have bought many foreign coins, ........., and used tools.

Since it was cold and rainy out most of the best venders weren't there. But there was 2 that were worthwhile(one even bought some stuff from me.)

Cool sign I found. In the 90's you could write to the Army and they would send you one.

Before I crossed the border back to West Virginia I stopped at my favourite hardware shop.

I even got a few items but it will be in another post.

Back in WV I seen this nice car.

As I was checking out the woman in front of me actually had purchased a set.

I haven't had a whole lot of things to use it on yet, but the engineers hammer came in handy when replacing the engine lid shocks on my 911 yesterday. As far as hammers go, it's pretty comfortable in the hand and is well designed. The 300g hammer is pretty tiny, but it definitely has its uses. I'll probably order a larger version the next time I get something from Gedore.

The DeWalt had a list price of 309.-€ + tax, Metabo 299.- + tax. The Dewalt tool was discontinued in 2009 or 2010. There also was a "Metabo GE 700 Basic" without spindle lock for a lot less. For example:

I paid 130.- + tax for mine from a plumbers store (it seems plumbers dont need die grinders )

The DeWalt had a list price of 309.-€ + tax, Metabo 299.- + tax. The Dewalt tool was discontinued in 2009 or 2010. There also was a "Metabo GE 700 Basic" without spindle lock for a lot less. For example:

I paid 130.- + tax for mine from a plumbers store (it seems plumbers dont need die grinders )
Usually the prices for power tools are much lower in England than in continental Europe. So i would look there... (different plug though) (and they have 110 + 240 Volt)

Thank you. The cheapest versions seem to be on par price wise between Norway and UK but once you step up a model or two there's a huge difference.
Plug adapter is available locally so that's no problem. It is tempting to take advantage of the strong kroner and score me a Metabo PSE1200 recip saw and a Metabo GSE700 die grinder.
