BRIX JarKey, Made in Denmark! 🇩🇰

It allows you to break the vacuum seal on stuck jar lids, thus making them easy to open (or so it is advertised).

I have a small Gedore hammer in my kitchen that I have been using to tap around the edges of stuck lids to accomplish the same, but hopefully this should be easier and a bit less destructive.

Which size did you get?
0 to 6 flatheads, 0 to 2 PH (already have a size 3).

Hammer is 320mm combined engineer and soft blow. I like this size a lot, would not mind too much if it was one size bigger but I think this is more or less ideal.

What's the difference between Wera's Zyklop bit adapter (8784 A1) and the more muted 784 A?

As far as I can tell the short one is for C types, and the longer one is for both C and E, but don't quote me on that.

Dukefx basically said it.

The 8784 A1 will accept both “C“ type (Wera call these type 1)

and “E” type bits. (Wera call these type 4).

The same bit holder accepts both.

I have this tool, and it’s one of the better bit holders out there. It holds the C type bits absolutely rigidly, the E type much less so, but generally if I’m using a bit holder it’s the C type bits I want to hold.

The 784 accepts only C type 1/4”, or C type 5/16” - but different tools for each size.

Nice, I was told by my mother to hit the bottom with your flat hand.

But if you are working through anger issues, don’t ask me how I know, you might break the glass doing so.

Ahhh, thank you. I missed it and Wera's website wasn't much help. It looks like you gain 7 mm of clearance, but lose compatibility. Also seeing some complaints about the ball detent not lining up correctly on a lot of tools.

Picked up this set of Facom Series 40 wrenches from FBMP. Had to see them once I saw this listing. None of the wrenches have been opened and it’s interesting how thorough it is with smaller wrenches. It’s got a 4, 5, 5.5, 6, 7, 8, 10, 12, 13, 14, 17, and 19. It feels like a crime to open up these wrenches and use them, not sure what I will do with them yet.

The Swiss can be proud of their products. Wish our tool brand (Unior) took a similar level of pride in what they make, but sadly it seems to be in a steady decline.

I've always found anything UNIOR to be overpriced and very "roughly" made. Maybe its the local distributor to blame for the prices but still, not really worth it.

I honestly can't complain about Unior. My father has a few pliers (combi and long nose) and they're still top notch after 1-2 decades despite my father not really taking much care of his tools. I have e-torx sockets and they're absolutely flawless. Regarding prices, well, they're on the high side but nowhere near Hazet high. The only thing I don't like about Unior is their lack of innovation and selection, there's nothing special about them and they don't offer much, but I repeat: I have 0 complaints about quality. My e-torx sockets are a semi-recent purchase and I don't see any kind of decline in quality.

I think the more recent pliers and screwdrivers aren't as good as they used to be. The sockets are in my opinion very good, as are also the wrenches (but nothing super special).

Wish they just took a step forward. I don't think there is future for them in competing only with cheap chinese production.

Are those magnets long? I need some good ones to hold the prints up at work but I’m looking for something that isn’t stupid long so I don’t bump them off when I’m in and out of the milling machines.
about 60mm. A little bit smaller + shorter than their hook + pick handles.
I have that too from when I visited Switzerland. An excellent tool with tons of uses, it resides permanently in my main socket set case.

Is that a scribe tool?
yes. PB Swiss "PB 700.190"
700 Angular Scriber:

702 has carbide points and different dimensions:

703 has a lightweight, visible, easy to clean, plastic handle:
Thanks for the overview ! I have the red handle one too. It´s a bit longer and has a springy feel.
