.Those are way cool!I purchased 50 of each size years ago and gave away most of them as gifts to good customers. Unfortunately, many people had no idea what these were and simply discarded them as cheap wrenches as they felt so light. These were part of the original McLaren F1 tool set.
The last ones I sold were over $350ea....I am keep these last few for myself.

Unfortunately not, and actually I'm not really a fan of titanium fasteners on a car

what car is it?Btw I found this blog on google, they show the titanium wrenches that were on Facom's catalogue (I remember seeing them on my father's catalogue when I was a kid) It seems that the gold plating doesn't get old really well

The titanium and carbon fiber used on this Porsche reduced the overall weight by approx 1100 lbs. Facom re-engineered the plating on the later wrenches because of the flaking issue. I never had any of the early wrenches.

I hope that you don't think I was disrespectful about the job done on this car when I talked about the titanium fasteners
I just think that titanium fasteners are great as part of an engineered whole using their true potential, which on an existing car would need a complete engineer team to redesign about everything, so basically build a new car...
I'm an engineering student, our teachers always ask us to design efficiently, to use the maximum potential of the parts we draw, I just can't imagine the researches you have to do on all the other parts when you're at a point you need titanium screws to do the job...
However it looks really great and rational in this case

not really, at least not what you paid for your set compared to the Hazet wrench at 37.- € I think the socket set had a “ok” price (not the list price though ), the Gedore wrench is cheaper though (about 18.-) the wrench only has squares (8,7· 9,5· 10,5· 11,5· 13 mm) and conical squares (6,8-8,7, 10,5-13, 15,2-18, 16,5-19 mm) and a screwdriver blade. But Germans have strong arms and cars with well machined plug/oil sump so you don't need more than one finger to do an oil change
They're even so bored of cordless tools that they disassemble them for fun because they prefer to use screwdrivers

Nice Betas vintage plastic + Euro COO = perfection. Also why don't modern tools use plastics like those tools do? Is it because it becomes brittle with age or they moved on to other types to appear more modern?

Yesterday, something that i though would happen happened...
When i bought by Bahco utility knife, my first though after unpacking was "this is ****, how can they put their brand on this". And it hadn't been used many times when yesterday the slider button got stuck. So i thought that i'll open it up and see if i can fix it. Half of the 1,5mm hex fasteners got rounded when trying to take them out. When trying with a bit of force, the aluminium gave ut and the fasteners stripped out. Short story: It is now scrap. Went to Bauhaus and bought a Wisent branded one, which was cheaper and feels sturdier. A quick and easy way to ruin brand reputation.
Unrelated, was at Biltema (nordic cheap tool/auto parts chain) and found these "Made in Germany" angle grinder discs.
Once again, you have made me very jealous!

@ TjoFrasse Bahco is owned by an American company(Snap-On) now and American businessmen don't care about quality just how to maximise profits. Also if you think thats bad have a look back several pages to the last Bahco knife on here its the cheapest Chinese **** you can find which is extremely ironic considering Sweden is well known for making high quality knives like Mora at very affordable prices.
I saw a Chinese made Bahco hacksaw the other day , chrome style steel.
The ergo ones are still made in Sweden though i believe.

I'm not fixated with manufacturing country, some of my Taiwanese Bahco stuff is good enough for me. But having paid Bahco price and getting stuff worse than the cheapest stores carry makes me mad. They might make a buck now, but soon customers will either switch brand or buy the same stuff unbranded for a lower price.
All (i think at least) blades are still made in sweden also, and are still good.
Finding japanese brand tools here in sweden is not easy, all i seem to find is swedish (Bahco, Kamasa, Teng) or Geman brands. Since Japan if famous for knife and saw blades i sure would like to try some.

its really got me wondering so i gotta ask, is the coo of that china? it looks identical to my hf stool aside from the hf one not having the half circle tray and the seat is red instead. if i recall correctly it even came in a very similar looking box. great stool if its the same though. i really like mine. i like the extra tray on yours

Yep, does look pretty similar. I would love to have a Hazet stool like that (as well as a small and large Assistent to match), but I just can't convince the practical side of me to spend the premium for them over the HF or Craftsman models (http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00952605000P?prdNo=2&blockNo=2&blockType=G2): Heck, they are probably made in the same place. I doubt that is one of the items made in Germany.
No disrespect to our member friend, Hazet - I am just jealous of his cool toys

Olfa makes some quality knives. I was lucky last year and scored when Lowe's closed them out.
The chair does not have a COO. It is probably made in the Taiwan or China. I received this as part of my Christmas present, so I did not pay anything for it
. Since I have pretty much everything Hazet, I did not want another color/brand mixed in. The quality seems to be average. I do like the half circle tray as it is perfect for placing nuts and bolts while you work. If you go to the Hazet web site and look through their 2011 catalog, Hazet now lists which of their products are Made in Germany (must have the German language option selected as the English version still has the 2010 catalog). I am glad to see that the vast majority of thier products are still German made

. I don't think I have ever seen a set like that. I have a several high quality tweezers from Tamiya (Made in Japan) for my model building hobby, but nothing like yours.Jeff

I didn't see the set on Wiha's website. Also if you look closely they aren't branded Wiha. I wonder if Wiha was subing them out like their wrenches which are heyco.
