sorry to hear about that ...hopefully it was not too expensive ...what about warranty ??
If i remember correctly about €10, so no big deal. Can't find receipt, and since i opened it i doubt they would give any warranty.
I my memory serves me right (disc at the garage, computer at home :) ) it was a "sand paper type" and not a "abrasive foam type". I thought about Dronco as OEM, but i'm not sure. It seemed as there is a OEM swap in progress also, most of the discs had a new design (with no "Made in Germany"). :(
Heres my first GJ video review(I think I made a picking video for here once...)
If that video is accurate, that is one silent machine! That settles that it will not be a Dremel for me, but a Proxxon!

BTW, is videos the new thing for this thread or what? :bounce:

I've got alot of older audio equipment mostly Japan but some also USA.My large BOSE speakers are from when they still made them in MA , USA.Don't buy BOSE now they don't make great speakers anymore they make 'lifestyle packages' - paper drivers inside lightweight plastic boxes you can pick up with your pinky finger.

I saw a standalone CD player at the dump , Denon , made in Belgium.Thought about picking it up but i already have two standalone Japanese made Pioneer ones and i don't use CDs much as it is.Would have costed maybe $400-500+ US when it was new in the early 90s when it would have been built.

Made in Belgium? How interesting. You should go back and get it. :)

BTW if anyone knows of anything made in Belgium especially electronics I would love to hear about it. Later this year I'm hoping to buy a Belgian made FN 5.7 pistol. :)

Heres my first GJ video review(I think I made a picking video for here once...)

nice tool + video !!!! We want to see more !!! :D ;)
Ricola !!!!!!! :D

10 bucks are 10 bucks.... maybe put it back together with new screws ?

It looks like the abrasives are blue ? and the disc say "fine" as well as it says something about "polishing" i guess :)D) My swedish is a bit rusty :D
Usually this is the "foam" type (brown = coarse, red = medium, blue = fine (or vice versa))

I think you´ll like Proxxon tools better than Dremel

I didn't even think of checking the pictures... :) Yes, is seems to be blue abrasive foam. "Lamellrondell för polering" means "Polishing flap disc". In small it says some stuff about suitable use (paint removal, deburring and such).

Just for reference, some Dronco stainless sand paper type, and a solid foam abrasive:

I hope so, cause now i have ordered one! TBS-aachen once again cheaper than swedish stores. Got the bench holder also.

Welcome to GJ andreas_d. Nice setup. How much is that Bahco set in the case in Sweden? Clas Ohlson wants NOK 1498 here in Norway.

And what are those two ratchets on the left cabinet door?

A bit of warning. Frequenting this site will probably cost you lots of money for tools you 'need'. ;)

With Bahco, I can never tell whether it's Taiwan or European manufacture. I normally assume that those socket-sets-in-a-case are from Asia.

Thanks! The Bahco set in the case is from clas ohlson and i bought it when they opened a new store in stockholm, they had a special offer and it costs 999:- SEK.

Ratches on the door is Belzer 3/8" (Not shown in picture) and Belzer 1/2" and a "no-name" but that one is actually probably the best one i have ever had.
Hehe, im always in need of good tools ;)

Hallå! ja det var ju kul att det finns fler svenskar här ;) The BMW is a m5 e39, keeping it in the garage over the winter :) Btw, did you know bahco had a outlet in Enköping last summer? Bought nearly all my Bahco tools there.

This one i got from a friend at work, made in sweden. It makes a lot of noise :)

This ratchet (Belzer ergo 3/8") i bought at the Bahco outlet, they were very cheap, 100:- SEK each. And the big Belzer wrenches (sizes 28mm-36 i think) i bought when the autopart company "Micro" here in sweden went bankrupt. They sold everything in their stores at 90% discount.

Yes, i was there. Didn't buy so much though. Perhaps i was to late and all the good stuff had gone. I have posted most that i bought earlier in the thread though: http://www.garagejournal.com/forum/showpost.php?p=1017201&postcount=2676

I do regret that i didn't bought a tool box though. They were nice and had a attractive price.

Nice with a E39, the last good looking 5-series (and the second last good looking BMW :) )

welcome to the forum and nice tool collecion you have there !

@ultgar:
sweet air saw !!!!!!!!!!!! The Facom tools + AC jacks are nice too !!!! ;)
Ahhh the good old yellow WAP... they don´t make them like that any more... :( unfortunately they went the Karcher route with their 99.- bucks pressure washers and vacuums in that price range :(

@american lockpicker:
The SIG company sold its air tool business to Biax in 1998, the SIG arms business was also sold in 2000 (now “Swiss Arms” www.swissarms.ch ) It seems they concentrate on packaging technology now www.sig.biz

The SIG air saws are still produced in switzerland, only the name changed from SIG to Biax

ps:
Wieländer + Schill now make their own air saws in Germany www.wielanderschill.com (a former Biax employee works there now...)

andreas_d - welcome to the forum, nice tools you have there.

I would LOVE to see some close ups of your Bahco Saltus wrenches (these are the ones with sockets on both ends of the wrenches...I'm not sure if you call them that)

I had no idea you was Malaysian lol. I see the drill is Swiss. :) Whats the price like? I was thinking of getting a Metabo this year but I might go with a drill like yours. :)

I don't get what u mean : " Mine are Malaysian and my uncles are Japanese " . Do you mean your Bosch 36V Lithium Ion Battery is made in Malaysia and yours uncle one is made in Japan . I bought it for USD 450 and not included shipping to my country . But I will go for Metabo , Hilti in the future
