There is a part number on that but you wouldn't be able to order that directly. I have bought a box full of those, so if there is any need....

It is basically a 863 ratchet without the ratchet mechanism. Then they mill out a part and chrome plate it.

That's what the apprentices make out of the parts that are somehow nicked a bit and can't be sold as perfect ratchets.

I like that little Hazet magnetic tray because it works vertical and horizontal.

Also, how Jens described the 863 bottle opener was almost exactly what I thought. Figured it started life as a ratchet and had a quality issue or was used for testing. I have a freidn who used to work at Porsche - the new employees there built those 3D cutaweay cars before they built actual cars.

How do you like the 802 screwdrivers? I have the 802 PH3 (pictured previously) and that's a big grippy handle! The 810 blue handled drivers are very similar and much cheaper, but I don't have both in the same size, so I can't really make an apples to apples comparison. I will say the shape and tackiness of the rubber on either seems like they would transmit torque better then the black handled 803 pictured.

I kinda eluded to that above. The 810s are nicely shaped and grippy. Really they are probably the most Hazet you can get for the money - fantastic deal from Jens, comfy, sturdy, great fit (as you can see in my photo of the drivers hanging in the screw)... The handle on the 802 is very similar, but bigger than any of the 810s (bigger driver, though).

That's the 197-3 which is 10 US$ plus shipping. It was introduced last year. Made in Taiwan by the way.

The blades are Swiss(I strongly suspect made by Bosch) and the handle is Schröder also it takes screw driver bits and is a very underrated tool IMHO.

I've handled it a couple times and I find the ratcheting to be on the coarse side and has more back drag than I'm comfortable with. The selector itself is pretty solid though.

Hrrm, KT seems to have copied Nepros' idea of using rubber as a gripper. I'll choose Nepros over those.

They are all made in Germany. You can look at the 2011 catalog. It shows which tools are German (luckily most of their tools are German made).

The large machines that stamp out the tool box skins are made in Japan.

Simply due to the orientation of the screwdrivers when the photo was taken. There's no difference.

News today, Toptul & King Tony:

Looks like Toptul did change the design of their handles. I own a set of blade throughs with a black rubberized handle, which is pretty comfortable to work with. Here's a pic of mine:

However the Phillips driver tips are pretty soft. The tips show lots of wear after I have used them a few times.

BTW: The 1/2" torque wrench looks very similar to the BGS version (and some other el cheapos) you find everywhere on ebay. Seems to be the new "high performance" design for asian made torque wrenches (besides the regular all chrome versions you get at HF & Co). Wondering who the OEM is for those.

As previously said, these large toolboxes (assistent 162 and larger) are made in Germany, in Remscheid to be correct. I visited the manufacturing plant.
