ps: ...look at your signature..... :D

seriously you need at least one regular 13mm combination wrench and one ratcheting

Yeah, but it doesn't say duplicates are okay though. But in your case, they are... because I'm not buying them :D

And I have my one Metric combo wrench set and that's all I need. The ratcheting ones are really expensive!

I just bought some "45 10 170" retaining ring pliers from Knipex. I know I won't use them really, but they looked cool so I got them.. is that bad?

There were some sales in Baumax, so I took this 250mm adjustable wrench for 5Eur. Signed Merox, but sold under O.K.Line brand name. That thing tells me it's heavy duty, and I hope so :D

OMG I love those straight razors, I may have to start collecting them. I was just talking about old-school barbers with my wife today.

I just happened to have these pictures handy as DE razors came up today as a topic on a gun forum I'm on. The Merkur is ok but doesn't come close to any ancient US made Gillette I used to have. Also the German made Wilkinson Sword blades aren't as good as the new old stock English made ones I have now or the US made with Swedish steel blades I first started with. That said the Braun outperforms a Philips Norelco Arcitec I had a few years back.

The price just about killed me when I saw it, but they're just soooo cool. You'll get some eventually :)

I also want some of their nippers, and a wire stripper maybe, and a few of the precision ESD pliers... but that's all, I swear.

I would pay $150 for this set without hesitation if I found it at local hardware store. Even more.

It is easy to find perfectly useful spanners and sockets today at low price, but I have yet to find cheap circlip pliers that last. When it comes to strength it is hard to beat Hazet. Nice find!

Thanks!
RM 80 = $ 26.50 :bounce::beer:

Talking about circlip pliers, I can recommend BETA.
Paitent, ZF16S151 - MAN truck 16 speed gearbox:
My new Padre (made in Germany :) ) breaker bar for size reference with BETA pliers.

Nice big Beta for a big truck:)

Thanks, I did not know Shell was quality brand in Japan. This price is way to low for quality so these cable cutters make a nice addition to my Chinese tool collection. As such perhaps they are "tools from the older world" :)

And yes, Sandvik is (was?) excellent maker of quality tools. The files are incredible good.

Yeahh! Shell is my favorite cable cutters:rocker:

Yeah very nice collectuion huh ? :)
I don´t plan to use chinese wrenches :D ;)

Thanks again to cosmik binturong !

wow very nice Hazet pliers !!!! nice !!! Congratulation !!!
price was very very good too  Good shop !!

Wurth spot weld drill bit from the flea market for 3 bucks:

;)
Thanks bro:beer:
:D

Awesome bit for 3 bucks:eyecrazy:

@mrtools : ~ Eur 19.00 for 8 oldschool Hazet circlip pliers ??? Time for me to seriously think about moving to Malaysia:)
ps : Do you have a better photo of the plier's heads ?

Actually a price write with marker pen so 10 years a number was disappear, A sales girl cannot guess a actual price..plus she haved to clear old stock item:D
tomorrow I try to take some pics of a pliers heads:D

Just received...

Nice Swiss made:rocker:

Recent Wera addition:

Wow! very nice all in one tools from Wera, haved u test it, can u give ur opinion?

BTW I have a Caren d'Ache.

Also I picked this up today while I was over in Ohio.

Awesome I like a blasted tips:drool:

First update about using 7mm Wera "flex" nut spinner for auto- hose clamps. Quite nice but not as strong as I had hoped. The flex leg takes on S-shape under torque - too low torque for my taste. Wont last many old rusted clamps - too soft.
---

Any idea who makes these:
punch0.jpg

punch2.jpg

I want more of them - - and some pin punches from same manufacturer, and some chisels too! ;)

I think I found a close relative, not sure but it was on sale 50% off at local hardware store. $4,5 still. Well it has "made in germany" forged into it so how bad can it be?

punch1.jpg

Finally, one for Monte. :)

Posted in this in another thread, but thought I'd try here:

anyone make a tool like this:

32779.jpg

It's got replaceable plastic/urethane jaws.

Also, I know Knipex makes a cutter for air or fuel hose (looks like a cigar cutter -- and it makes clean cuts for hose), but it's pretty expensive even discounted on-line. Anyone other German firms make one comparable?

Here's a link to one though this model is a few years old. The newer ones are a bit different, from what I've seen.

Saw a Mercedes Benz marked Hazet branded wheel nut loosening tool at the dump the other day in good condition.I would have picked it up but it'd probably just sit around and never get used....

In 2007 I bought a Hazet 5122-1 torque wrench. It's the budget version of the regular 1/2" type, which is limited to a +/- 10 Nm scale. That time it met my requirements, but today I would not buy it again, since I would prefer something more precise.

Anyway, I will live with this limitation, but what I did observe right from the beginning is the fact that it skips a tooth from time to time under heavy (but within spec) torquing. Today I opened the gear to see what's wrong and found something interesting. Obviously the gear is missing some teeth in a certain are. Thus in some positions only one lever can engage I don't think that's the reason why it skips a tooth from time to time (it's really only one not 10), but I'm questioning the design regarding its robustness. Especially because I think this design is used also in the CT version (fine scale type) of this wrench.

Well, I lubed it with some Molycote and am hoping that the skipping is gone, but still leaving me :headscrat

Has anyone seen a similar design before?

got a few of the Bluepoint ones from a girl working in a french navy maintenance facility along with some Snap-On goodies that i use for delicate Al or C parts on bikes like external BB cups, they're good and don't leave marks but those ips are really in another league...:drool:

Some manufacturers say the flexible tools are only good for 5 to 12 newtonmeters (depends on manufacturer) and clockwise use.

Any idea who makes these:
I want more of them - - and some pin punches from same manufacturer, and some chisels too! ;)

i dunno...maybe Tirem or WBC ? www.tirem.de www.wbc-online.de
