Chadstoolbox made me very happy, I asked about a couple of backorders, then they sent me what they had in stock including the older style of these ergo pliers, not what I expected but they are very nice, and a FREE bit ratchet :bounce: that I had been wanting to try anyway

A West German made Masonry bit in original packaging, by Black and Decker- "the World's largest power tool manufacturer" no less!

Also a German made carpenter's pincers, no manufacturer's name.

Nothing you guys haven't seen before...but I'm excited about them.

I'm still trying to find a place to purchase a Reilang oiler. I emailed the company last week but still haven't gotten a response. Maybe I need to work on my German :)

Are those punches brass? I can't tell... might have something to do with the whole "colorblind" thing

I hadn't seen any pictures of the Knipex locking plier til now, so that's a first :D How does it fare against other quality brands (AKA not horror freight :))

Nope, not brass, just polished steel. The markings on them are surprisingly hard to read also...but high quality pieces none the less.

I actually haven't had much experience with other brands of locking pliers besides an extremely old pair of hand me down Vise Grips. I can say that there is very little to no play at all in the jaws or handle when not clamped and when clamped down the jaws align perfectly. Also, the teeth are very sharp...we'll see how they hold up over time, but I'm happy for now.

Congratulations on your Hazet mrtools. Love the knurling on those sockets. Just the ticket for greasy conditions.
Yeaaah!!!!!!!
the knurling is very useful

Very nice, mrtools!! I don't have any of the fine tooth Hazet yet. What was that you bought, just individual pieces that Jens put together for you or did you get a set and not take the case to save on shipping. Either way, post more picsd and let us know how you like it :)
I agree about Hazet's knurling - gotta love it:
Awesome Hazet knurling:thumbup: that one reason I bought this goodies!
I prefer bought a loose item..because it save my $$$, I only choose a regularly tools especially socket size:bounce: I don't wont waste my money to buy item I am not use.
the Hazet socket set 3/8" or 1/2" completed set with a case, not suit for my applications.:bounce:

:)

My first impression is two line knurling at the socket looks and feel awesome, it very useful..and of cause their fine-tooth ratchet with smooth operation.

@mrtools : Very nice Hazet:thumbup: I'm with you about "W. Germany" stamped tools, it's like owning a piece of Berlin's wall:drool:

My combination spanners of STAHLWILLE:bounce:

very nice wrench set !!!

Monte: nice felo bit holder...

how does it stands up to the Wera/Wiha ones?

The comparable bit holder from Wera would be the Rapidaptor with ringmagnet click. The Wera bitholder locks the bits in place, the Felo bitholder is a simple magnetic bitholder with a spring loaded red sleeve which holds the screws with a magnet like the Ringmagnet Rapidaptor. So if you need a lockable bitholder then take the Wera if you don´t need that feature take the Wera :D or the Felo...

Back to JIS pliers..my new MTC combination pliers, another high quality Japanese pliers company.

very good looking pliers !!:bowdown:

Very nice handle design... looks like the soft part attracts small particles very well though. I'm going to take a whack at it and say "10 jarhe garantie" is 10 year guarantee?

You always see that GS symbol on electricity tested stuff over here (the usual 1000 volt or whatever), but never on regular tools. Am I to believe that the GS marking on the screwdriver there just refers to a regular standard, and NOT to insulated tools? Doesn't look very insulated to me :D

I think the GS only means that the product fulfills all safety norms like that the screwdriver blade don´t fall out and that the tip exceeds the minimum torque etc.

@Monte : Who do you think is the OEM for Merox ?

hmmm i guess..... Sora ? i dunno ...What do you think ?

"good" ...especially the ones you own because they´re EG class I and not II which are the most precise.

Jure, i've got only two measuring tapes : a German made "BMI" and a Fisco i've presented in a previous post. These two brands are clearly my favorites, just because they have more inovatives features than other concurents. I can't say wich one is the "world leader", but generaly speaking i have the fealing that Brits have the edge on measuring tools:thumbup:.

you are kidding ?

monte have you tried this felo? are they worth buying them?

I only have 1 of these drivers for my collection so i can´t say much ! I like the handle shape and the soft material of the handle. The handles are a little bit bigger than the Merox handles. Here the Merox dealer has Felo too and it´s only a bit more expensive . I probably would buy Felo, i think either the "Ergonic" or the 500/550 series.
