That SKG screwdriver handle with the hex is a different idea. Does anyone know if the hex is part of the blade or just stuck in the handle? Still a novel concept.

Unfortunately there is no info on their website - the screwdrivers are not even listed. But i guess it´s a 2 piece construction like the striking caps.

Wera has something similar now too, but with 1/4" square drive

All of these are unused and from 1980's, even 2mm is still unbendt!

Hammers have being used, but still in fair condition.
Soft face hmmer can still be bogth new, part number is just different these days.

That kind of plastic scrapers are great IMO. One of the most unexpectedly useful tools I have bought.

These any good? Seem to be the only ones available here that aren't from China. Not looking forward to the $20US I'll have to pay for each one though! lol

Öberg files have a solid reputation here at least. I'm happy with mine.

May i ask why you choose this mini knipex pliers over a mini Cobra ?

I have a set of cheaper half moon wrenches, that I must say I've never used... But this one for my most common used sizes (13 and 17mm) felt like a nice addition anyway Just in case I need one I'd like to use a quality tool.

He told me that it's new and you can find it only in a set, but he will try to find it.

Interresting screwdrivers. At first, i was a lil'bit sceptical about this new plug, but after seing your review i feel much more confident. Actually, i think it's a really smart idea, and certainly better (imho) than the classical driver with a 6 points bolt on the top of the blade.

Ah so thats what that was about...

Well I'm using a new camera today(Logitech of course, as seen earlier in this thread...) and it has new experimental(last time I'm buying a camera with it...) self focusing technology(I hate it...)

Old one(I think I took like 1500 pics(too bad I don't have the stats for how many ended up in this thread) with it and quite a few vids...)

Anyways I opened up the punches to change out the grip insert in my Walther and thought I would get pics of them.

The tips were supposed to be hardened but I don't think the small one is and I had to touch it up with a file after using a piece of wood to push a pin out of a polymer grip. :/

No big deal I guess now I have a reason to get a set of PB Swiss ones.

And some Euro stuff I found today. I think this is starting to be a trend as more and more stuff at the places I shop is from the EU.

I mean with the hex on the blade itself. Ok it could be practical, but i think the new Wera/SKG plug in the shaft looks better in terms of strenght and also in narrow places with no room around to manipulate a combo wrenche on a driver.

That pistol grip universal file holder is awesome! I don't think there's such a thing offered these days? The modern day version that I have in pistol grip form is sadly made out of plastic.

Those hex-**** SKG drivers...the idea reminded me of SEK's screwdrivers that have a 8mm hex opening. COO=Taiwan.

It's because those are produced for the aero industry where there's extensive (?) use of actual spline fasteners.
I think Stahlwille is quite likely the largest supplier of tools for the aero industry. Monte, am I totally off on this? I know that after Stanley took over Facom, they scrapped Facom's aero tools division and that share in the market was fulfilled by Stahlwille.

You can find NOS Facom on the French Ebay and other auction French websites. The most common NOS Facom available are adjustable wrenches, extractors, and different wrenches. The screwdriver i've posted is relatively hard to find in new condition.

I guess it depends on the country which tool brands are used, in the US at Boeing i guess Snap-On and Proto, at Airbus France most likely Facom and over here probably Stahlwille. In the chinese Airbus factory they use Stahlwille tools too i was told by a Stahlwille rep. They wanted to use a chinese brand but Airbus said that they must use the tools Airbus supplies.

Yeah no really cheap tools except Stanley and I've seen the higher end Sweetheart line their before. A few things are made in China but most is from NA/EU/JP.

I think Merlin is made by Proxxon.

I'm looking at getting a few things from Pfeil but a lot of tools I don't know how to use and they are priced so high I won't be buying them to look at... Perhaps I should get into wood carving as a way to fund me buying those tools...

As for Proxxon I think they are well built and designed tools. I still prefer Bosch 1590EVSK over their Trion but the other tools are awesome. A neat thing about there is if you ask an employee about a Festool they will take you in the back room and let you try it. I've played with their drill and barrel grip jigsaw before.
