That SKG screwdriver handle with the hex is a different idea. Does anyone know if the hex is part of the blade or just stuck in the handle? Still a novel concept.

Unfortunately there is no info on their website - the screwdrivers are not even listed. But i guess it´s a 2 piece construction like the striking caps.

Wera has something similar now too, but with 1/4" square drive

happy birthday
nice presents !

JMP Plastic scraper

Thanks, but I haven't had it yet, some days to go still. Hopefully then I will have some more things to post

That kind of plastic scrapers are great IMO. One of the most unexpectedly useful tools I have bought.

These any good? Seem to be the only ones available here that aren't from China. Not looking forward to the $20US I'll have to pay for each one though! lol

Öberg files have a solid reputation here at least. I'm happy with mine.

Greetings,

I stumbled across this thread while searching for more information on Matador tools. My truck came with a factory tool roll, and it contained some Matador wrench's, I thought I would share

-Trev

Cool! I love DIN wrenches, really beautiful industrial design.

Nice brands mix:thumbup: How do you consider the half moon wrenche ? Is it very usefull ?

May i ask why you choose this mini knipex pliers over a mini Cobra ?

I have a set of cheaper half moon wrenches, that I must say I've never used... But this one for my most common used sizes (13 and 17mm) felt like a nice addition anyway :) Just in case I need one I'd like to use a quality tool.

I was hoping no one would ask about the mini. It's because I'm a idiot... I liked the jaws and didn't think about the mechanism. I hate tongue and groove type. But at least it wasn't that expensive.

Hi
Some of my hand tools used in the machine shop. Old Lux, Granit, Elliot Lucas pliers. Assorted Gedore, Knipex, Format, Zerem gear there also.

Detail pictures required! Or a walk through movie clip. :)

SKG "Easy Force" screwdriver set
www.skg-tools.com

Cool. Is it a 6mm hex? Feels like Weras 1/4" square is a smarter coupling though.

Ok I found it. The local wurth dealer will order it for me along with some other stuff.
He told me that it's new and you can find it only in a set, but he will try to find it.

By the way great set.

A few more pics, if you want close ups let me know.

Very nice pliers collection:bounce::thumbup:

...but only 5 bucks :D and it has 2 different cuts

 Didn't know it's possible to have two different cuts on a same file. What cuts types ? 2 and 3 ?

and i already found a place for it next to the hammer and 2 (german made) Pferd files :)

Good:)

SKG "Easy Force" screwdriver set

Interresting screwdrivers. At first, i was a lil'bit sceptical about this new plug, but after seing your review i feel much more confident. Actually, i think it's a really smart idea, and certainly better (imho) than the classical driver with a 6 points bolt on the top of the blade.

More old Beta

Always good to see old Beta's, thanks:beer:

:D lol, we all make mistakes...
ps : At least, it's a German made Knipex, so it's not so bad:)

yes 1/4" square drive makes more sense....

you mean the hex on the blade itself ? Can be practical too i think, or do you mean a bolt/hex on top of the handle like this ? Thats **** :D

Ah so thats what that was about... :lol_hitti

Well I'm using a new camera today(Logitech of course, as seen earlier in this thread...) and it has new experimental(last time I'm buying a camera with it...) self focusing technology(I hate it...)

Picture7.jpg

Old one(I think I took like 1500 pics(too bad I don't have the stats for how many ended up in this thread) with it and quite a few vids...)

Picture6.jpg

Anyways I opened up the punches to change out the grip insert in my Walther and thought I would get pics of them.

Picture3.jpg

Picture4.jpg

The tips were supposed to be hardened but I don't think the small one is and I had to touch it up with a file after using a piece of wood to push a pin out of a polymer grip. :/

No big deal I guess now I have a reason to get a set of PB Swiss ones. :)

And some Euro stuff I found today. I think this is starting to be a trend as more and more stuff at the places I shop is from the EU. :)

Ah ok, thanks for the link:thumbup:

you mean the hex on the blade itself ? Can be practical too i think, or do you mean a bolt/hex on top of the handle...

I mean with the hex on the blade itself. Ok it could be practical, but i think the new Wera/SKG plug in the shaft looks better in terms of strenght and also in narrow places with no room around to manipulate a combo wrenche on a driver.

nice antique tools

Thanks:thumbup:

Bosch saw blade holder

Wow monte, this is a real hype-mega-super-cool tool :bounce: I was thinking to buy something similar made by Vessel or Fujiya but this Bosch looks even better made. How much ?

Anyways I opened up the punches to change out the grip insert in my Walther and thought I would get pics of them.

Nice punches:beer: Made by a still familly runed French company. www.racodon.com/

I don't know! I saw it in the shop today, but I didn't looking for any COO because I thought that Wurth hasn't COO on its products.
That pic is not mine.

Taiwan i guess....

Wow that's interesting! Never seen that before.

Wow I must have that tool. :) Available here?

i don´t know :) Your local Bosch dealer might have one hanging next to the recip and jig saw blades :)

Anyways I opened up the punches to change out the grip insert in my Walther and thought I would get pics of them.

a ja yeah that´s right, if there is no space a square at the end of the handle is better of course !!!

Wow monte, this is a real hype-mega-super-cool tool :bounce: I was thinking to buy something similar made by Vessel or Fujiya but this Bosch looks even better made. How much ?

:D Don´t forget "über"... :D
just made out of plastic, don´t look that strong but only 13,99€ with the 2 blades at the local "Toom" home improvement store...

NOS Heyco oil drain wrenche sold through Ford.

nice wrench in a cool package and even "W. Germany" ....perfect :)

Metabo LiON 18V Power Extreme Batteries

LOK,

Nice Felo/Wurth screwdrivers! That's something I'd like to get as a heavy-duty screwdriver style pry bar/wedge.

That's pretty cool.

Thanks for posting all our Beta treasures. :)

Mud,

That pistol grip universal file holder is awesome! I don't think there's such a thing offered these days? The modern day version that I have in pistol grip form is sadly made out of plastic.

Monte,

Those hex-**** SKG drivers...the idea reminded me of SEK's screwdrivers that have a 8mm hex opening. COO=Taiwan.

Lockpicker,

Thanks for the Woodcraft photos. What a great looking store.
I'm sure you'd enjoy visiting a Lee Valley store as well. :)

Excellent Felo/wurth drivers:bounce: I remenber they were very expensive in France. How much you paid ?

Talking about drivers... NOS Facom, Philips 4.

THe hex bolster is welded to the blade, just like PBSwiss do with their drivers.

Nice small combination wrenches but where are the missing numbers? :headscrat

It's because those are produced for the aero industry where there's extensive (?) use of actual spline fasteners.
I think Stahlwille is quite likely the largest supplier of tools for the aero industry. Monte, am I totally off on this? I know that after Stanley took over Facom, they scrapped Facom's aero tools division and that share in the market was fulfilled by Stahlwille.

Maybe in Greece are even more expensive. 14Euro for 5.5 and 16E for 7 exclusive taxes. :(

Nice facom screwdriver.

It easy to get old Facom tools in France?

You can find NOS Facom on the French Ebay and other auction French websites. The most common NOS Facom available are adjustable wrenches, extractors, and different wrenches. The screwdriver i've posted is relatively hard to find in new condition.

Old Bosch..from Germany:)

Nice vintage quality machine:thumbup: My brother owns a similar old Bosch, i'll try to post a pair of pics soon.

Maybe in Greece are even more expensive. 14Euro for 5.5 and 16E for 7 exclusive taxes. :(

Yeah, that's what i tought, thanks:thumbup:

wow thats a nice looking store !!!! Many thanks for the pics ! It seems they only offer quality tools there. The Merlin tool looks interesting (looks like Proxxon) I bet we will see a complete Pfeil tools collection in your possession soon :)
So how do you like Festool tools ?

@lok
yes i think sockets + ratchets are imported !

ps: nice screwdrivers

@superautobacs
looks even better than SKG because of the striking cap, but i think Wera´s idea with the square drive is the best.

Facom still offer aerospace or "aeronautical" tool which consist of Facom and Proto tools:

http://www.facom.de/downloads/sonderkataloge/2011/aero_anglais-tbd.pdf

(i think i need a set of those flourescent Facom pliers + screwdrivers :))

I guess it depends on the country which tool brands are used, in the US at Boeing i guess Snap-On and Proto, at Airbus France most likely Facom and over here probably Stahlwille. In the chinese Airbus factory they use Stahlwille tools too i was told by a Stahlwille rep. They wanted to use a chinese brand but Airbus said that they must use the tools Airbus supplies.

Awesome screwdriver innovation and "tool in action" monte:thumbup:
How much you pay for a set?

the SKG set was €19,95

Wow! again another great "tools in action":beer:
I like a quality of Wera driver! awesome:bowdown: Wera more expansive than SKG right?
Thanks for a great PICS:beer:

a Wera set sells for about 33 to 40€, a regular set without the square drive starts at around 26.-€

btw. nice Bosch ! Rotary hammer still works after 9 years ? good machine !

Maybe in Greece are even more expensive. 14Euro for 5.5 and 16E for 7 exclusive taxes. :(

Sometimes they sell 5 piece sets for 34,95€ + tax :)

Today I bougth one of these sets, have to see how it works. By this day I have not owned battery tools as I always have household electric available at work.
Metabo Power Combo 12

nice set ! Do you have "real" pics of it ?

So how do you like Festool tools ?

Yeah no really cheap tools except Stanley and I've seen the higher end Sweetheart line their before. A few things are made in China but most is from NA/EU/JP.

I think Merlin is made by Proxxon.

I'm looking at getting a few things from Pfeil but a lot of tools I don't know how to use and they are priced so high I won't be buying them to look at... Perhaps I should get into wood carving as a way to fund me buying those tools... :)

As for Proxxon I think they are well built and designed tools. I still prefer Bosch 1590EVSK over their Trion but the other tools are awesome. A neat thing about there is if you ask an employee about a Festool they will take you in the back room and let you try it. :) I've played with their drill and barrel grip jigsaw before.
