Time for me to show of some new purchases! A order from "My Tool Shed", a UK online store, where I spent some birthday money. Not so good pictures, sorry about that.

Bacho ratcheting T-handle bit holder, Taiwan. Unfortunately the shank is not interchangeable, so stuck with bit holder.

Bahco round head 60 tooth 1/2" ratchet, Argentina.

Bahco 6-point 1/2" socket set, 10, 12, 13, 16, 17, 18, 19 and 24mm. Argentina.

Facom sealed head 72 tooth 3/8" ratchet. Hard plastic handle. No COO marking, as expected...

Facom 440 series combo wrench set. 8, 10-19mm. 14 and 15 was not included, so I ordered them separately, not in the picture though.

I use Wiha bit holders like the one below, now. I used to use the ones you pictured but I found they take up too much space.

yes i have a couple of bit holders too which are better to use too, but the container is for the spares of the spares of the spares ....

just read through the last 120pages since yesterday - man am I overwhelmed with all these great tools - made a nice list of stuff that I have to buy in 2012.

Got a chance to use Wera's insert bits for r&r of threaded rod building pex manifold for a radiant heating project. Faster than double nutting the ends to turn them with a socket. The Festool CSX is a nice little compact drill for small projects like this. SD

Yeah, the T-handle is nice. Wish it had a square drive instead though, or even better interchangeable.

I got the Facom since it was cheap (£20), fine tooth and has a small head. Must say I'm satisfied. Smooth action, really small head and good weight. Would love a bit larger handle on it, but it's ok. No quick release is a negative also for me, but not critical. Of course France as COO would be even better, but then the price would be different I guess. I think I will get the 1/2" version also, we'll see.

I can take some more pics when I get home but there are already plenty online on both the US and German sites....this one replaced my old C12 although I'll probably get one of new 15v C12's in soon to see how it compares. yeah you´re right....can´t get enough of Festool tool pics cheaper to watch pics in the net than to visit the dealer every week or to buy one

why replace ? The C12 has about 100% more drilling capacity/power/torque than the CXS at only about 50% more weight....

Old Beta Screwrdivers

Actually really good grip on those square handel and note that numbers are still on them as it is only painted on. Old ones are similar to Snap-on stuff.

New Beta screwdrivers

Long ones are 400mm long (plus handel), ideal to carburator fine adjustments without taking airbox out.
Also tray to my toolbox.
New also got good grip, not as good as old ones, but like how end of handel is smooth and when you got screws opend, end does not have friction, so it is very easy to spin handel in your handwithout too much of grip.

Thanks! It's a bit lacking in the Made in Germany section, but at least enough to get some work done. Let's see if 2012 will bring a Hazet 8816F!

Today I've been moving into the new toolbox. Having a real tool box is new for me, so there have been some thinking and confusion for what to keep there, and how to arrange it. This is the current state though.

Top compartment, let's see how long it's this neatly arranged...

Small drawers. Files, misc and hex stuff.

Bahco (or related) drivers

Wrenches. Really needing some holders. Haven't found any good ones though.

Pliers.

Sockets. Again needing organizers. Have some planned, will hopefully arrive soon.

That was the top chest. Bottom is this:

Ratchets and extensions. Must get more

Wera and other drivers.

Locking pliers, water pump pliers and chisels/punches.

Misc, seldom used stuff.

Hammers, prybars and saws. Needs more!

Torque wrenches and electrical. Needs a Fluke!

Scrapers/interior pullers, clamps, extractor sets and my new impact gun.

I was finally able to save enough money, had to sacrifice and sell my old Snap On tool chest, and bought these beauties instead.

The black tool cart is one of the newer types and the drawer handles are aluminum. They are much improved over the plastic ones on the red cart.

It comes from Koken Japan and is the 3/8" universal joint -far right. Second runner up is the 1/2".

Awesome old Beta drivers! it your own collection, did you know how old a screwdrivers?

Yes they are all my tools.
I was shopping some tools from local Beta importer and took some of these old tools with me if he would be able to tell; how old are these.
They (Beta tool importer) started in 1986 and from one ratchet I have posted earlyer he said: "I have never seen Beta ratchet like that".
So I can asume these drivers are older then 1986, but how old? No-one knows.
All old Beta I post here are from same source, now it seems, one who sold these tools to me sold them little bit newer then they acually are.

I found my collection of Taiwan tools lacking. So I paid the Toptul dealer visit! He was in a good mood ...

Sockets come covered in thin oil film.

Price/quality ratio for Toptul sockets is impossible to beat over here IMO (almost free!). Don't know about the bits, but they offer guarantee against breakage. That's new for me.

I don't know a price is OK or not.. I have no choice I paid MYR 140 = USD 44.50 = Euro 33.00 or need to order directly from Japan and pay their shipping cost and then wait around 2-4 weeks to get a tools..
