Yes it is a BGS, but it is sold under couple of different brand names as well.

At the motorcycle gear shop Louis in germany and other EU countries it is sold under the brand name rothewald.

Monte, or any of you guys

I want a ratchet 3/8, so far in Costa Rica I can buy the HAZET 8816F.

hazet.jpg

However, there are some interesting models internet in a similar price range:

Armstrong 11-992

Armstrong 11-992.jpg

Craftsman Premium Grade

Note: Sorry to post the question in this thread, but I prefer a second opinion

The Hazet ratchet is quite a bit shorter than the Cman premium. The head is also substantially fatter and i prefer the reverse mechanism of a pear head over a round head since you can reach the former easily. Judge for yourself.

The new Metabo 10,8 Volt recip saw.
Quick change blade mechanism, takes recip saw blades as well as jig saw blades and the "shoe" is adjustable

Thanks Skin, excellent comparative, in fact, knew the length of the model and Hazet Armstrong (8 "= 20 cm approx.) But not the Craftsman (although if you liked a lot longer)

Thanks Monte,

Apologies for posting the question, but I wanted to decide quickly because I have other tools in the amazon order. So I took the abuse quickly post on the thread. :( :)

Thanks jalfaro. They are not all mine but the Irega wrench belongs to me. And I like it. I like it more than my gedore which I could not get used his counterclockwise Function. Irega has significant less play than any other that I have try. The handle are very comfort and switchable.
Yes we miss it ! :D ;) :p;)

....

Buy the Hazet man. In a short time this model will be replaced from the new one and I think that the 8816f is a "must have" tool. Unfortunately I have not the money.

If you prefer the reverse mechanism of a pear head you can buy one later. :D One more reason is that the round head ratchets are more robust. (not sure if that is correct)

Nice tools,

From the perspective of the picture, this set of sockets Carolus have a thick wall, right? They give the appearance of being quite robust

Regarding your opinion about the ratchet, thanks, in fact I hope it arrives in a couple of days.

yes that's right. I'm not an expert but I believe that they are quite strong. I don't know how they stand in a difficult environment but for their price they definitely worth a try. The one in the pic above are the No19. Here are the no17 compared with gedore 1/2.

The ratchet is pretty good. It is much better than the other ratchet of carolus with the red handle. Looks quality, have a very low profile and smooth ratcheting. The finish, (gives me the impression that) is better than the sockets. The socket secure tightly with free play close to zero. All the new ratchet and ratcheting wrenches of carolus are made in Taiwan and the quality is higher. Some photos with the gedore 1/4 ratchet and No 13 socket.

Red wing is the most famous work boot here especially in oil and gas industry;)

I believe that to continue with the style of thread, I will opt for HAZET model, has less teeth (72) than the Craftsman (84) and Armstrong model (88), but after all I think HAZET in quality is difficult to overcome.
Just to say BUY HAZET!!:thumbup::thumbup::thumbup:

 Damn, can not be possible, yesterday I bought the ratchet HAZET 8816F on CAPRIS (Costa Rica), and just a sales call telling me that excuse because due to an error appeared to have stocks of the ratchet is not the case. Instead, they offered me HAZET 8816G RATCHET (flexible head and 27 cm length) or HAZET 8816S, but both are 32 teeth.

Service... :rocketwho

NOTE: Sorry again for posting this message in the thread, but really I feel angry

Saludos Bhae,

¿This Wrench brand "GearWrench" came with the set "Kraftwerk" (the brand name "Kraftwerk" also belongs to Danaher ...)?

Next time buy it in Germany ;-)

I actually considered :D, because in the local market, HAZET models in 3/8 are:

hazet..jpg

But more than that only have 32 teeth, which made me to think about acquiring one of these is that "selector" is plastic and not metalic, and really do not know which so affects the quality of the ratchet

Moving on, though not belonging to Europe, I expect very soon the following Engineer brand pliers (model PZ-56):

Got some Facom stuff today from member BMWGarage. All I had for Facom before now was a ratcheting screwdriver, which is great. Have to say, they make some nice tools! I'm quite sure these weren't made in France but whoever made them did a great job! The only negative, which really isn't negative is the small grips on their ratchets. I have fairly big hands and when I saw them I thought it looked funny but after using them, they actually fit in my palm really nicely. Just looked a little odd next to m other ratchets.

Hola Jarfaro.

Si, la llave de GEARWRENCH venía en el juego junto con las llaves de KRAFTWERK.
Sata y Gearwrench pertenecen a APEX Tools, así que es normal que las llaves de sata sean de Gearwrench.

Yes the GEARWRENCH wrench came withe the set KRAFTWERK.
Sata and Gearwrench = Apex.

About 5.7-5.9€ is my selling price for Kraftwerk Light.

But in another importer i can sell the light about 2.70€-3.40€

Usag have the same light with 6 led, and Samtools too (with 7 led)

A few new things from Wera...

Nice set garfunkle24, I hope That "wera joker" series can be Purchased in AMAZON (or in other site) soon

Got some Facom stuff today ....

Nice FACOM ratchet, well, the whole set is great

Tool kit from my brothers motorcycle...
zopo014t17o0aj52l.jpg

Monte, excuse my ignorance, but RK ¿is an European motorcycle brand? or ¿is a tool brand?, I don't heard (or I can't remember) about it. :headscrat

Also, let me take to make another question, by chance have any of the ratchet "HAZET" 3/8 with the plastic selector, model 8116N interests me but I wonder if having the plastic selector could represent a problem.
