As folks here post pictures of tools found in fleamarket, here is some of tools I found this weekend:

Scala workshop vernier, paid 3,50€

Facom 507 lockpliers, note that Facom makes lockpliers from their own desing.

Hazet 3/4 36mm socket

Two Heyco 25-00-10 one of most elegant 1/4" ratchets there are, my favorite ratchet from all ratchets there are.

Pair for my previously found Dowidat valve tool

Hazet 1954-2 (or Hazet 1953-35 today) plastic hammer

around 25€ as not all tools where bougth from same place.

Best tool or tool set I found last weekend is:

Bahco 1749 a 1/4" socket set from 1960's, perfect pair for my same era 1/2" socket set used here as refrence.

attachment.php

First of all;
I have never found single 1/4" socket from this old Bahco, All the thousands and thousands sockets I have seen, now for 35€ I got almost all of them.
attachment.php

Only sad thing is bended spinner handle, I seriously looking good one...

(I love that 1/4" sockets are similar form as biger 1/2" sockets here as comparison)
attachment.php

attachment.php

Here is the REALLY odd thing, in old days Bahco used to mix sizes in socket sets, from size to size of most usual mesurment systems in that day.
Here are sockets in this set, from smalest socket:

4mm
4.5mm
3/16"
5mm
BA6
6mm
1/4"
7mm
8mm
BA2
11/32"
9mm
3/8"
10mm
BA0
3/16W
12mm

What I am not sure is should there be 11mm socket included or 7/16"

... no need to write but let's do anyway... COO is "Bahco Stockholm"

Speaking of broken Wera...

My 3/8" Zyklop skips :(

I tried to take it apart to clean and lube it, but can't seem to get the head open. Is there a trick to this or are they non-serviceable??? I guess I could always soak it in ATF, but I'd prefer a full cleaning and Permatex assembly lube...

Anybody know? Thanks a lot in advance.

Hé mine skips 2, i got it only 2 weeks
first i tought it was the bolt that was 'grippin' uppon the nut,
then it got worse...
i went back to the shop they are gonna send it to wera...

got a good replacement now, a heavy duty TOP hand ratchet

cheers

:( Sorry to hear it's not uncommon... I do like the functionality, if it skips it's worthless though (and dangerous...). For now, I'm going back to my 3/8" SO ratchets...

Any ratchet can break and my Wera have been fine with serious pulling! What is disappointing is that it does not appear to be something that can be serviced, nor can I see any repair kits listed online.

Mine started skipping on the second serious wrenching weekend... Why anybody would make a non-serviceable ratchet is beyond me...

If you've had good luck with them, I may try another one. They are mighty convenient...

It was from Amazon. I guess I'll figure out how to send it back...

I sent an email to wera Germany about a rebuild kit and how to service the head. I have all 3 sizes and have not ran into any issues. But you picked my interest on how to open up the head. I will let you all know what wera Germany saids when I they reply.

The ball end looks quite different. Aren´t these the ones if the ball should break off you can still use them as straight driver ?

Hmmm, maybe. I never thought about that! :) If so, it's very smart move from Wiha.

The green, red and yellow button use to hold or release the hex keys from holder?

Noup, it's just for visual difference, when you're looking in bunch of tools. :D If you want to use some wrench, you just turn for 90 degrees wrenches that are larger size, and pull out desired size for use. Really easy to operate, and holder keeps them well in place.

Thanks! I'd love to hear what they say. Maybe there's just a trick to getting these things open. However, there are no screws to unscrew on the head itself...

After looking at mine, I suspect the side torx that it pivots on is also what locks the plates on. But I will see what they say before messing around with it. I can not see them not being able to service the item.

I took out the torx on the sides (beware of little plastic spacer ring). It appears that they only hold the head to the handle. Looked (literally ;) ) like a dead end...

What about the torx on the quick release. that should open up the top of the head. But I will wait till I find out form wera before messing with it.

Congratulation you have a brave heart:rocker:

Mrtools,
Not really sure if they are rebranded gearwrench. Never seen a 12 piece set from gearwrench in flex head. All the email thatbingotnback from lidl was that they are mad in Taiwan. Feel more like the proto offering then the gearwrench version.
Thanks for your explanations:thumbup:

Nice looking tools. I wonder how much torque the light tool design can take? But they does look pretty high tech and keeps weight doen in a tool bag.
