Hi, I have quick question - does anybody knows COO of Bosch 9-125 CE angle grinder? I saw the 10-125 CE model and there was written Made in Germany, but I have no info about 9-125 which I decided to buy... Thanks

Speaking of plierswrench....

Here's a limited production plierswrench with cross hatched jaws. They were specifically made for a major European airliner. The technicians use these to remove tie wraps, instead of using diagonal cutters. The cross hatched jaws provided a non-slip bite to quickly and easily remove them.

^^^^ Super interesting, SAB! Thanks for sharing.

Now, if only I could figure out how that works to remove tie wraps... ;)

Maybe Artu? They have "ice hardened" blades, and made in Solingen.
Artu looks (for me) more like a distributor rather than a manufacturer (maybe drill bits ?) so i thought they´re from a dedicated manufacturer like www.lutz-blades.com But difficult to say since there are several manufacturers and like 90% of the blades sold here are labeled Solingen and/or Germany

Random photo with some German, Taiwanese, and Japanese stuff mingling with eachother, peacefully. :D
harmonic photo :)

Thanks for the link! you are the best tools consultant

I'm agree with you..you right they won't ship oversea:)
thanks for your advice:thumbup:
nobody wants to ship to you ? :(
what do you need ?

btw : I know monte have a set of this Wurth driver, and I guess he's really like them :bounce:
yes i do :D ;)

asedeals.com $399 shipped to my door

i really wanted the low lift-high rise model but it was a little too heavy for my non- garage use.
very nice jack ! should work for most stuff i guess (change wheels etc.) ?
only knew that AC is sold in the US (no longer it seems ?)
"These are the best jacks on the planet" i think thats what they said about the AC jacks they once sold too :D

I bought today.

hmm interesting ....on the other hand .....combination pliers or Cobras don´t work ? (i use side cutters so i don´t know ? ..not like in the video though )

I already find one. :p It can be used as a usual c-spanner but with this design it can handle very small and bigger bolts. It has larger range than my beta.

View media item 21102
Also it can gripe the bolt from different angle.

View media item 21103
Which is very useful some times. In a place so tight like this my beta can not work.

View media item 21104
Also the beta can't grip so large bolt (or whatever it called).

Not wide open in this.

oh oh ....and another expensive visit at the Wurth dealer ......:D

I swore this was the last. :pimpflash But as I recall I said the same and the first time.

Awesome shot lok!!!!
thanks a lot for the Gedore pics

Thanks mrtools.

Awesome driver! congratulation very nice collection ..the handle looks a little bit small than Felo and it comes with great shape like Felo, these one look more suitable for my small hand :bounce:
tell me what your personal opinion about this Wurth drivers?
btw : I know monte have a set of this Wurth driver, and I guess he's really like them :bounce:

Thanks again mrT.

These screwdrivers are awesome! So far they seem to be strong and the fitment is very good. But the one that i like the most is the handle. I don't know how it will last in time under heavy use but definitely worth a try. For me the perfect screwdriver must have round handle (i don't like the square etc) and soft. Also they have all the features than i like, impact cap, hexagon blade and hexagon drive for wrench. At first i bought only the basic set, but then decided to expand it a little bit even though it is a little expensive. And now i hope to last forever.

The handle seems to be a little thiner on top than felo. I don't know about the length. I took some pics for you.

All sizes.

"Weicon", "Caramba" , "Beko", "Eurolock", "Sonax", "OKS" are brand names which come to my mind. I have no experience with any of them though.

I stumbled upon them completely by accident -there was very little info, but at that price I decided to roll the dice. I did do a bit of googling, and everywhere I found that sold the Format brand also sold Habero/Gedore, so I took it as a good sign.

Now I just need to find the Habero ball pein version like Monte has, but they're as rare as hen's teeth (pretty sure they're not made anymore).

Those are really, really nice. Are the clips sturdy? Hold the sockets well?

I did a bit of digging and found them for sale in the UK by Sealey and Laser brands. The Laser is slightly cheaper and includes more clips than the Sealey (16 vs 14), but both seem to be only available in blue. Now I have to ask myself if I can justify spending more for that lovely Carolus red... :)

the ball pein in Rotband style seems to be discontinued.... :( not very common over here.... :(

They're all stamped with their respective weight in grams, and the "Format" name (looks to have been stamped seperately). The 600 and the 200 are stamped "KK" and "Chrom-Vanadium" while the 500 and the 100 are stamped "LE" and make no mention of chrom-vanadium.

Are these maybe old-stock then that have been rebranded?

I haven't any experience from stuff like that and i don't know how good or better are the others, but they work fine for me. Yes the clips are really nice. They are sturdy and hold the socket tight. Not so tight as to be annoying though.

This morning's car-boot haul. Please excuse the poor quality phone camera pics. Most of it needs a good clean-up, but it's all in very useable condition and should look decent after a scrub and a bit of vinegar where needed. Despite the rust and grease I think some of these have had little use beyond bouncing around the bottom of a tool box:

Elora 12/13 (W. Germany) and a Kamasa 16 (Japan) with a black finish. The Kamasa is really nice with sharply ground jaws and ring (if that makes sense).
