Monte, where is made the Bosch DeciLED?
Hello to everyone!
I'm an electrician engineer and i'm interested to buy some screwdrivers.
I have already a set of Stanley (Stanley 5-62-573 FatMax VDE) and i'm not satisfied with the quality.
I'm looking some products from wera
a)http://www-de.wera.de/product_detai...kraftform_stainless_vde_3160_i_7_rack&lang=en
b)http://www-de.wera.de/product_detai...us__series_100_vde_160_i_165_i_7_rack&lang=en
c)http://www-de.wera.de/product_detai...tform_comfort_vde_1160_i_1165_i_7_vde&lang=en
or facom set ADVE.J6PB FACOM
Also i'm looking to buy this http://www.knipex.com/index.php?id=1216&L=1&page=group_detail&parentID=1324&groupID=1522
*(only 2 pieces 4mm, 5mm i think is the most recent)
and this http://www.knipex.com/index.php?id=1216&L=1&page=group_detail&parentID=1324&groupID=1520
*(only 2 pieces 10 and 13 ithink is the most recent)
Which of these would you choose?
Thanks a lot!
Personally, I'd buy the Knipex. They're made in Germany and the quality is top-notch. (While Wera is a German brand, they aren't manufactured in Germany for the most part.)
Have you looked at PB Swiss and Witte? Those are also top-of-the-line screwdriver specialists
I have a lot of Knipex tools and are my best of hand tools
but i cant find screwdrivers here to see them closely (only on internet)
The same happens with the Wera. i cant find a shop here to see them and hold them. But I have read that Wera made very well in screwdrivers (i have the joker tools from Wera)
And that is the reason of my post.. I would like your experience here
All that I find here are Facom and and looks professional (and have lifetime warranty i think)
I dont like the PB Swiss insulated screwdrivers

yepDecent light.
if you already have Bosch 10,8 volt toolsVery nice! Would be interested if I didn't have a similar one (Powerhand) yet.
Yes, to me, Bernstein tools are very well worth it, just not worth paying basically twice in shipping than what they actually cost-which are expensive by the way. One can not only see but feel the professional quality of the tools that Bernstein produces. Very well worth paying for. Its a lot less $$$ in shipping from Europe than from Australia or South Africa, that's for damn sure!
As for pictures, well I don't take pictures of every tool that I get. If I did I'd have a **** load of post in GJ, but I have posted a few. Here is a picture that I posted of a Bernstein nut driver set back in 2013, reference post #7146.....

....for those who have doubt about my fixation of Bernstein tools.![]()
did you check out the Wiha "slim" drivers ?Hello to everyone!
I'm an electrician engineer and i'm interested to buy some screwdrivers.
ChinaMonte, where is made the Bosch DeciLED?
it has magnets. The two horizontal strips next to the heart pacemaker warning sticker are the magnets:What is the sticker on the deciled? Some lever and heart?
I am surprised not magnetic attach.
55 eur rrp.
yesOffcourse it has a magnet. Right?
...The brand is quite uncommon (in the meantime ?) since the radio/TV repair business is virtually dead, so i´m always surprised to see them on- or offline... "my" dealer still has a couple of yellow handled 90 degree allen screwdrivers laying around and one of these tiny screwdriver sets with plastic blade.
So do you work on radios or TV´s or is it just the yellow handle you like ?...

Harrems Tools is distributor of Hazet. It's the company behind Toolspecial: http://www.toolspecial.com/
The shops that sell stuff from Harrems/Toolspecial can order at Hazet.
Also Conrad is a good source: http://www.conrad.nl/

.

I don´t know if it a red handle would turn you on as wellMonte, in all honesty, a bit of both.
are they flat or do they have a "step" ?Gedore/Baldur spindle pressure pads for axle bores (hollow shafts).
the 3rd from left is from Mora/swedenCan you guess which one is made in Sweden without looking the answer in close-up photo?![]()
Those look interesting.
I don´t know if it a red handle would turn you on as wellbut you might want to check out old german "Belzer" tools since they had a lot electronics hand tools as well. If you have some tips regarding the good/bad/ugly of electronics tools let us know. (especially the ones to avoid
)
Bernstein tools surely look nice and also have a certain sense of style/design like the PB swiss tools (they only make a few tools, but the few tools they make they make them really good). If you should have some more pics of your tools/work place....![]()
Found a couple of insulated ones (here and here; UK source).Yes, I know about 'Belzer' tools and have been on the lookout for those vintage red handle tools but they are so hard to come by. I would like to get some with that red handle trademark?
Pics!!!
are they flat or do they have a "step" ?

I see they have a few versions of this plier.
Faster than expected (ran into a nicely priced set), I bought a NEW set of the Hazet 600N (6 - 24 mm) combination wrenches with an inlay included......
+1 - wish i had an excuse for buying a complete set. From my POW it´s the best combination wrench.I just found out that I have a couple of Bahco knives in my toolbox that I could share with you guys.
First and second knive are made for demolition, replacing chisel and prying things with very thick blades and big handles. Third and fourth are traditional knives with normal size blades.
Can you guess which one is made in Sweden without looking the answer in close-up photo?![]()
...
the 3rd from left is from Mora/sweden![]()
Yes, the one with the worst finish. Too bad, that neither Bahco nor Hultafors make their knives in Sweden, good finish or lack of, the swedish steel is awsome. And Welcome, Snowblind! It will be difficult to find Belzer tools besides Ebay (of course you can still find some at stores over here) i guess if you´re located in the US since these tools were mainly sold in Germany, Austria and Switzerland afaik. If i search the net for "Belzer" mostly "Bahco-Belzer" (new style) tools appear...Yes, I know about 'Belzer' tools and have been on the lookout for those vintage red handle tools but they are so hard to come by. I would like to get some with that red handle trademark? My main tip on tools generally would be to not spend money $$$ on tools made in or from China. Tools made from there are O K if you need something quick or working on something that is not important but they are definitely not for serious use, IMO. There are various tools used for electronics that are cheaply made but are distributed under another manufacturers name are common in electronic places such as Altex, Radio Shack, etc. if you are a serious tool user and buyer never buy tools for electronics from those places. All they offer are over priced, cheaply made tools from China. These will be listed under various name manufacturers.
As for pictures of my work place well for security reasons I really can't get into detail about what exactly or specifically I do and I definitely cannot take or show pictures of my work place.
This distributor that you say has a few Bernstein tools could you be more specific on exactly what he has? Also any ideas where I can get those Belzer red handle tools? (other than EBay).
i'm lazy to take all that pics, but here is a few..and no they are not made in india
+ rust spots
Don't get all excited pal, just a combination wrench, nothing special. It's not like i took a pic of it for the occasion.Maybe i should have? With me shaking the hand with the man who sold it to me.No just kidding.
few days ago i have seen someone's post here in the topic about gedore 1B,bad finish, rust etc etc...
