Any of you have access to Metabo 627077000 (the right angle quick chuck that has the red ring but is not limited to low torque) and can tell me how deep the chuck end is (i.e. how much clearance it needs to fit)? I'm trying to see if it is much smaller than the right angle chuck for the LTX.

Is it just me or is the 41mm 600LG not as long as the 36.
Will have to buy at least the 36, have the other 12 sizes already.

Just looked it up
36 is 580mm long
41 is 600mm long

Hey,

Recently picked up this is Bahco 714 ratchet, it's a 1/2" push through design with 12 teeth. It's got a fairly interesting gear and pawl, with the pawl being a little 6mm steel rod, and a fancy looking machined gear...

Seem to have narrowed it down to probably between 1954 and 1968 based on the the logos of the adjustable spanners they made at the time (namely that they changed from AB BA Hjorth to AB Bahco in 1954, albeit can't seem to find it when they changed the don't of their main logo to the later more angular one)

Anyone know anything more about these?3bfe415fa550121cf1676d19f3edb243.jpgcdf7ec00be029e6b16011022f3b13c27.jpg30581ea608b85353ceab0ea051042c69.jpg37a036d8a785ac7a70f41701fd37cd81.jpga322f0a24c39defdcafd185d927a8b0f.jpg

I have almost this exact one (the head is more rounded on mine and has many more, but much finer teeth) and a few others in different sizes from my grandfather with the exact same markings and COO (Germany). Haven't been able to find a brand marking on any of them - is it Record? Would definitely like to know!

The cutters were a real bargain. I can only guess that the seller I got them from a while ago bought them by accident, thinking they were a smaller jewelry tool, and sold them at a loss.

I like the fact that the spring can be easily slid behind the tool arm, allowing them to be stored in a closed position.

Yes is is a Record from my grandfather. I find "new" old tools every time I am looking around our garage and shed, drawers, cupboards, etc.[emoji16]

Hey Monte, is any particular size you are after and made in UK, US or Germany? I may find one in the boot sale in the UK and post it to you. W

Did you see any differences? Which one would you prefer?

What a good score!

I wonder who first started the convertible joint idea.....Bahco or Lindstrom. They are both under the SNA Europe brand and I would assume come from the same production line.

Do the grips on the Lindstroms have Bahco's "Ergo" trademark molded in?

Can one of you guys in Europe as your Metabo dealer if he can get 627069000 (USA 10.8V charger) and if so what the price is. Despite being made for the USA, we can't get it here.
