Diamond cutting blade for angle grinders. Specifically designed for fast cutting of wall ceramic tile, floor ceramic tile, porcelain gres, marble. Pay attention to the design of diamond layer.

 Very detailed work in diamond layer (also looks thick), here typical option are like this

Got the Stahlwille 3/8s set with fine tooth ratchet (435QRN). Both the sockets and the ratchet are really nice and the tolerances are super tight. Much better in that regard than the taiwanese stuff I have, otherwise I'll have to see when I really use it.

[emoji43] View media item 78654was happy because I bouth a knipex pliers, but seeing your order...[emoji43][emoji43][emoji43] anyway nice tools [emoji106]

I just realized there are 7 sizes of Cobras, not 6. It looks like I am missing the 150mm. I probably wouldn't miss having it, but I might as well order it anyways....
Seems to me Amazon always does kind of a poor job at packaging, I don't think that's new. They love those plastic bubbles.

I used to work at a machine shop and we had shop-provided Wiha dead blows like yours in larger sizes to assist in large part setups. Watch what you hit and how you hit it, because the plastic faces are just crimped into the metal, if you deform the metal they can fall out. The shop ended up switching to Lixie dead blow mallets, which are also pricy, but USA made and stand up to abuse better than the Wihas (screw-in replaceable faces, head made of malleable iron not stamped steel). Granted, these were shop tools so the guys using them didn't give a ****.

Lixie are very nice. Definitely well built, although I don't like the handle shape/size. I can't imagine abusing the Wiha dead blow hammers enough to deform the rather heavy steel canister. That's also why I have the split face mallets. For heavy handed situs- they are very robust.

Just picked up some Wiha pliers. Not used them yet but on sight and feel alone the fit and finish is better than my German made pliers (knipex and nws). The rubber handles feel more premium than the Knipex plasticy feeling handles as well. Only issue so far is that the word 'Industrial' rubbed of the handle in the first minute of handling them. Hope they function and wear well.

Hi Zeug,

I hope you have had a good Christmas time

With regards to the Lixie, do you find the handle to be long/ short, thin/ thick?

I was looking to buy a couple of them or get the PB Swiss.

Thank you

I got a pair of these for free when buying a Wiha Precision screwdriver set. I agree the handles feel great. Really conform to the hand. Its just a shame they are made in Vietnam. I ended up giving them away because of that.

The diamond layer thickness is 1,4 mm ;)

Di-Star makes a great variety of diamond layers.

:eyecrazy: I see, thanks for pics  .

Nice set Metalio, one question, these extensions has quick release?

5 year ago, I bought Wiha adjustable water pump pliers (7-Inch), made in Vietnam. At the beginning had some doubts about quality, but they disappeared with time, this pliers has a very solid construction and their size allow access to a tight places.

Nice set Metalio, one question, these extensions has quick release?

Yeah all extensions in the set have quick release.

Also those Makita impact drivers are really nice. I want buy one as well at some point, especially since I already have a bunch of Makita 18v gear.

Seriously; You gave them away simply due to country of manufacture?
I also give away the tools that are not made in the original country to my father[emoji41].

It does not make any difference as he soon destroys them, irrespective of the coo.[emoji3]

Duratool side cutters. Work provide these so they get used as cutters, pliers, chisel, hammer etc. They are still going strong after about five years use every day. Not sure if Duratool are a maker or rebrander. I also have a set of their pliers which have no coo and are ok quality.

I like that Lux vise! Wilton has a similar model but it is made in China. There are clamp on bases for baby Wiltons but they go for crazy money.
More pics? How do you like it, Monte?

You're welcome! Unfortunately, Di-Star doesn't export their products to Costa Rica, nor to the American continent in general :( But I sure know they make some cutting blades for Hilti and Cedima.

Hilti is starting to show here, hope someday can buy then

Very nice 3/8 set!!!!

This impact driver is XDT13 model, hasn't speed settings, but you can control it easy from trigger, also has a lot of torque. And of course, is very cheap ($49,99 bare tool on Ebay). Next week I hope arrive the XDT12 model, with 4 speeds settings and two features that a I want to test: self-tapping and assitant mode.

But in general terms, the XDT13 is fine for general use, trigger is very sensitive. Constructors and other proffesionals may find very useful the speed settings and other features in advanced models.

Very nice color Monte!!!!

Yep. I would have returned them if I had paid for them, but they were free as apart of a bulk package for some precision made screwdrivers.

I definitely don't want to encourage companies producing offshore, and do so by voting with my wallet. Make tools in the USA, Europe, Japan etc, and you get my dollar. Make them in countries with cheap offshore labor, and someone else gets my dollar.

New from Germany. Wiha wood handled screwdrivers. Has a hex bolster for a wrench, Strike through cap, and the tips appear to be nice typical Wiha tips. The flat head screwdrivers have some sort of laser tip on it. The smaller drivers do not have a strike through shank or hex bolster. Handles feel nice, but some of the wood looks a bit sloppy. Just the difficulties of working with a natural material I suppose.

Pretty much how most of the German wood handles are, Witte and Gedore are the same way. Felo is the nicest, pretty much flawless.

Felco or Knipex? Trying to decide between the two for bike and motorcycle cable cutting. Felco is the standard "go to" at many bike shops I frequent, but does not have the ferule crimpers. This Knipex looks to be close to the same quality with the crimpers. Anyone have experience with either of these two?

Felco on Amazon

Knipex on Amazon

I bought the Knipex two weeks ago for the same reason.
Works like a charm, 100% recomendation.

Merry Christmas!

Probably just a personal thing. The handles feel thin to me and I don't like the grooves cut into them. Seems to me it would be a week point.

Oooh those Gedore with replaceable cutting edges are very nice looking. $116 at KCTools is a bit more than double the Knipex. Hmmm

Any experience with these Monte? I can't tell if they have the internal spring like the Knipex version.

Amazing how similar certain aspects of those handles look. Almost like they are made by the same supplier....

I can see that on the others besides Felo but the shanks are completely different. Wera/Wiha/Gedore and Witte are all very similar (there are differences) handle design. Narex and Felo are the exceptions. It could very well be them copying each other just to offer something in something that is going to be minimal in sales.

Also, I don't think it comes across well in the pic but Gedore and Witte grips are small, like PB Swiss sized.

Ukrainian made hammer with wooden handle. Hammer is branded as Expert Tools but made by Juco (manufacturer's website doesn't have English version, sorry). Hammer head looks roughly made and doesn't have any finish at all, but it's reliable and durable. Hammer face has only few surface scratches after couple of hours of intensive work.

But most of all I like the price. It's a little bit less than €2,50 incl. VAT :D

The last thing that came from Germany, is a Knipex game of extra long pliers.

I take this opportunity to teach my collection of pliers, Knipex, NWS, Gedore

In contrast to the more expensive Gedore.
The Gedore might be better in the long rong, as you pass them on to your son and so on, as they have interchangeable cutting blades.
But the blade kit (2x cutting blades, 2x screws, 1x screw driver) is about 20€ (only had a quick look at the price).
The Knipex can be bought for ~30€.

Had used Gedore before I bought mine.

Before read your message, I saw the surface of hammer, I like the this rustic finish, I don't know how to explain that, nice!!!!

What a collection!!!

Added another 12V tool to the collection. Another drill, so as to save constantly changing bits when drilling & countersinking etc.

Cool drill/driver . I saw it before, but I don't researched enough  for understand his ideal uses, so I bought a Makita compact driver (still in customs)

Monte and other tool connoisseurs, who makes good garden hose ? I'm assuming they are all the same diameter. I'm looking for hose that doesn't kink but still coils easily and doesn't get to stiff in a UK winter.

Also some Secateurs. I'm assuming Swiss made Felco are worth the money ?

felco-8cc-rosenschere--baum---rebschere.jpg

OK, after extensive testing through several seasons the best premium garden hose made is.... the Hozelock Ultimate. It doesn't kink in hot weather or crush, is nice and robust and has a 30 year warranty. It's the hose garden centres use most in the UK from what I've seen.

http://www.hozelock.com/our-products/watering/garden-hose/ultimate-hose/

Avoid German Rehau Pro Line hose. It kinks badly in hot weather. I returned it for a refund and apparently wasn't the only one.

Also avoid cheap tat, it will drive you mad.

Leave it to the the GJ crowd to kill an awesome thread worthy of 1,400 plus posts.

Thread reads, "Tools From the Old World" . . .

If your tool requires a Lithium-ion battery, why are you posting it here!
