Wiha ESD Nut Driver sets arrived! The black canvas pouches are awesome! Fits better than the green, though I like the green too.

@Bcjames,

Nice mug! :)

@ Superautobacs

I visited our local Koken distributor and they don't have the new Koken Sliding T-handle yet. I'm deferring purchasing a T-handle till I see the new ones. Thanks for the tip. :)

You're welcome. :)
Let us know when you see one in person.

Oh, nice Spoon Sports box. :D Wonder what goodies were in there. :bounce:

@superautobacs:
The Klik-Clamp should be from germany: source

Unfortunately i couldn´t find any info on the size of the Triangle version but the height of the Hifive version (31.6mm) is not too bad if you look for example @ the Ko-ken 3776 with a height of 34.3mm.

yeah slightly too expensive the wille`s ....maybe i should wait for some cheaper Kabo´s :)

Yup, I checked mine out and it had "Germany" cast into it. :thumbup:

Wow, the Ko-ken's pretty thick considering it's orthodox mechanism.

Spline wrenches or spline ratcheting wrenches?

+ 100´s of tools :D from Nepros, the long IPS pliers, Asahi Revowave wrench, a screwdriver from every company and and and... :D ;) :)

:D Me too!

where is a good place to buy?

is it shorter than a 4" crescent?

The shortest one they offer is just over 4"; it's 118mm to be exact. The model number is the UM24S series and it has an opening capacity of 24mm.
The largest model is UM48S, with a length of 185mm, and has an opening capacity of 48mm. :shocking:

Check here for more details: http://www.lobtex.co.jp/products/sagyo/ums/index.html

t010000398771.jpg

Another company is TOP, who offers a very similar lineup. Their shortest verion is 117mm in length, but with a max opening of 26mm (2mm more than Lobster's). Their longest is one mm short at 184mm with a max opening of 49mm (one mm more than the Lobster).

nice set !! I like the box with the metal insert instead of plastic !! cool !!!

@Monte: Did Padre answer?

i called them and they have a couple of dealers here. I specially asked for punches + chisels so he named me 3 dealers here. Luckily he told me they also sell individual punches so you don´t have to take 10 pieces or so since I´m looking for odd sizes like 2,5mm and 3,5mm pin punches. Btw: the punches+ chisels from "OBI" + "KS-Tools" are also from Padre.
So i think i will order one of the "Axe/Hatchet/Plugging" chisels #"4095" from Tirem and the extra thin drop forged "car body" chisel #"7141" from Benscheidt as well as a pin punch set and a "combined
tool set" from their "Action Pac" sales promo flyer.

@bcjames:
nice wrenches + cool mug !!!! I want !!!! (the mug) :)

@Dennis the Menace:
nice Wiha set !!! :thumbup:

@Maxipouce:
nice e-tools !!! Wow only 99.- for the Rupes polisher + stuff ! That´s a good price ! normally it cost about 360.- € here but WITHOUT all the accessories ! sweet ! you **** ! :D ;) The AEG drill looks good too !! 17 years and still working , that´s AEG quality !!! :D ;) :lol_hitti

@superautobacs:
if spline drive then non-ratcheting. Ratcheting tools tend to break after 30 or 40 years :D :D ;)
I will call Hazet and ask them if it´s necessary to have spline drive tools :D

Superautobacs,
Are those impact screwdrivers or do are they just glorified chisel-drivers? I mean, do they twist the fastener when struck? ...because I think I need one of those. Heh heh

Also, I picked up the magnesium Bessey clamp at my local Ace Hardware store (I70 & Noland Road, KCMO). The odd thing is I bought it right before I checked this thread. I was shocked to see it being discussed. The first thing I did when I grabbed it off the shelf was check the COO. I thought it was strange that it said "Germany" instead of "Made in Germany".

I've searched around for about 15mins, but I haven't been able to find any reviews on the multitude of online sellers.

There's also another company called Tokoma that also produces screwdrivers with the same purpose. They call it the "Aerobics-2", and I've read very favourable reviews from a site that I've shopped from in the past: i'TOOLS -- another seller on Rakuten

Tokoma also has a newer "Gigafit" series that also performs a similar function. Here's a link to a blog that shows the Gigafit. Near the bottom of the page, there's also a picture of Vessel's Megadora next to a Tokoma and Wera screwdrivers. Here's the link: http://blogs.yahoo.co.jp/wakaguricom/folder/126921.html?m=lc&p=2

They utilize a "ball-joint system", where there's a single ball in the handle that's supposed to transmit the shock more directly to the end of the tip, and at the same time decreasing the opposing force upon impact
.
gigafit.jpg

Here is a worldwide distributor list for Tokoma tool products:
http://www.bokar.com/?sub=4.

On Tokoma's website, it mentions that Bomir is the only U.S. distributor for their screwdrivers. Here is a link to Bomir's website:
http://www.bomir.com/online/?sub=739.

It mentions on Bomir that Tokoma's GiGa Fit screwdriver are designed to hold screws with their tips: http://www.bomir.com/online/?sub=729.

Tokoma's Aerobics-2 screwdrivers are used to remove damaged flat and Phillips head screws:
http://www.bomir.com/online/?sub=734.

It is best to call Bomir to confirm stock availability of Tokoma screwdrivers. Various GiGa Fit and Aerobics-2 models are currently not in stock and is not mentioned on the website. In addition, all orders must be at least $50.00. I called a few times today and I had a positive experience with their sales department.

Nice find, and thanks for the info. :beer:

Yup, I wrote somewhere that each strike equates to 12* of rotation (only for loosening).

How do you like the Bessey Klik-clamps?

Anybody came across some Jap screwdrivers made or branded by Picus and are these JIS?

Thanks

I've never heard of a Japanese screwdriver with that brand name before.

The spanner at the right side looks a little bit shy, hope you didn't forgot to say hello to him. Great set.
:bounce:

I love little nut driver, want some too, but i still don't know where i could use them. Do you use the drivers at computers?

@Monte: Good news :). But Obi is far, far away...
:shocking:

The bosch cordless drill is cool. The power light is a useful detail you don't want to miss after using the drill.

@Hazet:
Like Superautobacs already said many Bosch-Green tools are from Hungary. Some are from germany like the higher priced 5"angle grinders as well as the 9" models or hammer drills, the top of the line orbital sander is from switzerland etc.
In case of the pictured cordless drill the tool itself is made in Hungary, the battery pack made in Poland and charger made in PRC.

:shocking:.

Maybe the KS-Tools or Padre dealer is closer ? :) :)

I stopped at an OBI in austria last week and I fell in love with the Lux branded felo screwdrivers with the clear red acetate handles. I only bought a couple because I figured I could just buy the felo branded ones online, come to find out felo doesn't make them under their own name. At least I couldn't find any. Their 200 series are similar but they don't look clear from the pictures. I'm assuming they are a more plastic feeling handle. :headscrat

I also picked up a set of witte maxxpros for 18 euros. :thumbup:

Can you tell me who made this "rolls-royce" wrench.Thanks:beer:

sorry i don´t know. I guess somebody from England ? Britool ?

They don´t make them anymore with the Felo name.
ps: post some pics :)

@Moose:
The 160mm combination pliers on the left should be made by "Will". The "Will" pliers have a handle like in this pic:

FAIPL65160.jpg

which is identical to the "Lux" pliers on the left. The 180mm version and the other pliers on the right are the new "Lux" version pliers which are obviously from NWS (the pliers on the left also doesn´t have the recessed "Made in Germany" inscription and a different looking head). The "Will" pliers are available in the UK as "Faithfull" brand (only the ones with red/black handle !) Knipex also offers a 160mm version.

That is a damn shame. They are extremely comfortable. Those acetate handles are nice and heavy. I'm just worried if I order the 200 series they will feel cheap. I'm undecided between 206's or 550's. :headscrat

I guess the 200 series is the successor of the acetate handle drivers. I personally would buy the 500 or 550 series. More difficult to clean though but feel better in my hands.

@Moose:

www.faithfulltools.com

They have at least 10 dealers in London:
http://www.toolbank.com/r/find/London

But you can´t go wrong with Knipex or NWS :)
ps: why the small 160/165mm size ?
