Is there even a 58 inch wide toolbox available? I thought the big ones were 52.

Ill have to lay it on the floor under my box. Its more of a cool/joke/ damn thats a badass prybar type of gift from my uncle.

Kinda funny how everybody predicts the downfall of sears and craftsman or constantly complains of them but yet alot of people here are posting craftsman tools or sears gift cards. I find it humorous. And yes, I do own my fair share of craftsman and for the most part love them. Looks like alot of good gifts were given and received.

Had a pretty good haul:

  • Kobalt Shop Stool
  • Sears Wall-Mount Shop Vac
  • Gladiator Clean-Up Caddy
  • Craftsman 1/2" Premium Ratchet
  • Craftsman 1/2" Deep Metric Socket Set
  • Craftsman Metric Dog Bone Wrench
  • Bucket Boss Tool Belt
  • Folding Sawhorses
  • 2 - 18" Irwin Quick Clamps
  • Fluke Non-Contact Voltage Tester
  • GFCI Tester
  • Klein Screwdriver-style Tapping Tool

Also got some money. Plan on buying Craftsman 1/4" Deep Metric Socket Set, some socket rails for sockets that don't fit on trays, and a quality set of screwdrivers. I am still debating Wiha vs Wera vs Felo vs Hazet.

I'm going to cheat and include a birthday present I got, since that happened recently, too! :D

Lowe's 16-gallon 5.75-amp ShopVac from my parents for my birthday late last month:

ChannelLock GripLock GL10 pliers (to go with my GL6 and GL12) and an infrared thermometer with laser sight and backlit screen from my sister:
GL10_infrared.JPG

Snap-on wrench rails from my buddy and Craftsman 3/8" torque wrenches from myself (couldn't pass up the sale!):

And, from my parents (with the caveat from Dad that he gets to borrow it/use it :D), picked up today with assistance from Dad:
hoist.JPG

Powerbuilt 2-ton engine hoist - it's not the typical folding/collapsible style, but it stows away pretty well. I've been searching for quite some time for the "normal" older style of non-folding/non-compact hosts, the kind with the extendable front legs and side stabilizers, but I just can't find anything. Someone local was offering this thing for a fantastic price, and it included the engine leveler. After picking it up, bringing it home and playing with it, I'm SOLD on this style. The "handle bars" on the back are phenomenal, it's incredibly stable (I have to seriously try to make it tip with me standing on the side) and it's in great shape!

The only issue with it was that one of the pins was missing, but I stopped by a local farm/feed store and bought new rubberized-handle hitch pins and replaced all of them.

It's even cooler because it's red and black, instead of orange or yellow. :D

The only other thing I'm waiting on is my original Christmas present to myself, and that's the GearWrench 81919 set of 44 non-reversible long-pattern combination wrenches (with the equivalent of "Flank Drive Plus" on the open ends).

I did pretty well this year; my tool wishlist is over 200 items, organized into categories, so my family doesn't have to look too hard for ideas.

My wife got me a bunch of stuff from HF: 1/2" drive deep impact sockets in SAE and metric (13-piece set of each), the 25" 1/2" drive breaker bar, long reach needle nose pliers and side cutters, the five-piece ball pein hammer set, an 8" pipe wrench, and a load binder to replace one that mysteriously disappeared (oddly enough, right after I left it lying on the trailer and drove away). My in-laws gave me a HF 3/8" drive ratchet and deep sockets in SAE and metric (for my road kit), and my dad gave me a digital caliper. Not a bad haul.

Oh yeah, and my sister gave me beer with pipe cleaner reindeer antlers on the bottles.

Wife got me:

A pair of 3 ton jackstands...
Deadblow Hammer
Step drill bits
Face shield (for when I am grinding away, no more metal in the face!)

In-Laws got me:
Ridgid X4 Cordless Impact Driver
X-Beam SAE GearWrench wrenches
new 1/2" clicker Torque Wrench
5" swivel vice + Anvil

I made out like a bandit. My GJ SS got me the metric x-beam wrenches, which is funny as hell because now I have the set of them!

I hope everyone has and had a merry christmas!!!!!!!!!

In-laws and I had a chat 8)

Do you have it bolted to that stool yet? :):bounce:

No, sitting on that stool it would move six inchs any direction, I'll have fix that before it sit on it again. Got a spot on the workbench for it and already have the bolts to secure it.

These are the first Gear Wrench tools I have had. I really like them, they seem to be really well made.

Tom
I'm quite fond of my Gearwrench tools too, especially their ratchets, which basically seem to be very similar to their Matco counterparts, and higher quality than most of the similar Craftsman stuff. With the exception of the RP Craftsman stuff, I'm really quite fond of Danaher stuff.
