Pics aren't the best due to it being a strangely sunny day.

Looking good Az, looks like they even managed to get some of the concrete in the hole too! When's the roof due?
Cheers Chris.

RSJ is going up on Monday. Roof should start next week. Around 2 weeks left on the garage I reckon. Then onto paving the drive and most of the back garden.

Started buying some stuff to kit out the garage with. Had to grab this industrial cabinet complete bargain at £50 [emoji2]

very nice build, though looks small for a 3 car garage, unless you mean 3 small cars ;-)

It will store 3 cars. But for the time being will be for two cars. One for driving and the other spot for a car to be worked on.

Looks good Az, I can't believe this is only 2 months! You are giving me faith mine could be up pretty quickly, that is if the solicitors ever get off their thumbs and complete the paperwork on our purchase!

Cheers Chris.

RSJ went up today took a lot of effort as it weighs well over 500kg.

Eagle eye among you will probably have noticed the height of the garage has been reduced. [emoji20]

Some pics of how it was done.

Looking good Az. Why was the garage reduced in height? On purpose or by accident?
Cheers Chris.

Front bricks on top of the RSJ and half of the roof construction is done. Hopefully by the end of next week it should be finished. [emoji2]

Looks good Azmontana. How are you going to cover the roof? Will it be OSB and then tiled?
Cheers Chris.

Roof membrane should be on by the end of the week and roller shutter and door ready for the end of next week so I can finally start organising and getting all my tools in there.

I can't believe how quickly this has moved on, well done! Can I ask how long it took to get through planning? We're finally getting the keys to our new place on Friday after a hugely stressful move, and I need to get on ASAP so I can get my collection inside. Just wondering how long I should really allow for.
Cheers Chris.

Crappy weather has slowed progress I was hoping tiling would be started this week.

First inside shot, the floor will be grinded next week to get an even finish.

Tiling has begun. Over 700 tiles need to be laid. Will take a good few days I reckon. Weather tomorrow looks dry but next week is looking pretty rubbish. [emoji20]

It will be a roller shutter. I can't wait to paint the walls and kit it out.

Tiling nearly there hips just need to be fixed.

Shutter has been installed.

98d9a6598ba9915b6821e055b1522a2b.jpg

Tasks left to finish of the garage.

Hips on the roof to be installed
Guttering
Floor needs grinding to a smooth finish
Electrics including 2x32A commando sockets, lights, 13A sockets etc
Steel door to be installed

After the above is done I'll be ready to move in to finish it off tasks such as.

CCTV install
Painting the walls
Making my workbench
Kitting it out with my tools

.... Then deciding which of my cars gets space. I'm thinking the E36 M3 and the Hartge H26, the H26 requires some attention to get it up to factory condition.

Wow, that would never be allowed in US or Canada. The rain water will go into the neighbours yard!

Wow, what a great size garage and gone up in good time as well.

Bet you must be itching to get in there and start the fitting out.

I really am. It's pretty much done now the floor needs a final grind and then sealed and then I come move in. Final hurdle is sorting out the driveway. I hope to get my cars in there in around two weeks.

Let there be light! I've also installed two 32A sockets one for the air compressor and one for the mig welder [emoji2]

Chin up bar also installed so I can start getting back into shape. Really cool bar as you can mount a punch bag on the side.
