interesting how talking about TV's generates replies trying to dictate what one should do in their workshop or garage...

I have 5.1 surround sound in my shop and I'll be adding a tv to the mezzanine wall soon. Right now I'm just running a laptop for music.

Pro TV here!
Just upgraded to a 50” TV to replace my old 30”. We live in good times when you can buy a budget smart TV this size, 4k resolution, and Ultra HD for less than $200.
I have it wired to an older AV receiver with a bluetooth receiver attached.
I enjoy TV or Pandora when I am puttering around and cast youtube from my phone or ipad to the TV for how-to videos. (If you're Apple and you hate YouTube commercials you need the Tube Pro app!)20231225_081929.jpeg

I have a 50 inch on the wall tied to a nice stereo. I don't watch it often but there are times when I am just cleaning up, waxing a car or doing an oil change that I'll have a game, race or golf tournament on. I don't stand there staring at it but will look up depending on what I hear. I work on stuff to relax, not trying to make book rate.

I'd understand the safety thing if it was mounted to the bill of my hat or if I was doing brain surgery. It isn't and I'm not.
