I bought these the other day-

They accepted an offer of £30 + £3 P&P . A third of the price of the Facom equivalent and cheaper than buying direct from Halfords.

I am sure the Facom are far nicer but the Flexheads are only handy now and again.

Merry Christmas all!

I've just listed the first in a line of items I'm clearing out, see here for details.

I'll have some bigger stuff soon, but I'm located in Lincolnshire and it'll probably need collecting.

ETC Industrial (Japan) 3/8" drive AF deep impact socket set (8pc) on ebay for £11.78 shipped:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/8Pc-3-8-D...t=UK_Hand_Tools_Equipment&hash=item2586415e2f

Well my set turned up today. Made in Taiwan, not in Japan as advertised. Not great -the holes through the socket (or at least a few of them) are off-axis. I haven't checked yet to see if they sit straight on a ratchet/impact gun. Apart from that they have a nice solid feel though.

Hopefully I haven't led anyone else astray with this "hot" deal.

I think for less than £12 we'll all put the pitchforks away this time....

Let us know how they do when you use them.... Still sounds like a good deal anyway.

Aldi Hook and pick set: £2.99

Haha... I just bought a set of these today...

I'm always a bit nervous about mentioning the Aldi tool deals, as they tend to be.....
How should I put this.... Not quite up on the Hazet level of quality.... ;)

But I find, all those workzone and toolzone tools have actually been ok if you
are just a bit wise where you use them.... i.e. Don't use this pick set to remove
a differential oil seal or they WILL break..... kind of thing.

I also picked up a hot air gun for £6.99 with 5 attachments... It's made of plastic
that Fischer Price rejected but it works fine... and I didn't have one and now I do
for 7 quid. For how long I will have it is anyones guess, but it has a 3 year warranty,
so it will be 3 years at least I suppose.

I'm amazed at some of the deals they have from time to time.

I've had one for over 6 years , light use, cannot fault it.

not sure im a huge fan of halfords ..theyve got this tool box offer on

http://www.halfords.com/webapp/wcs/...1_catalogId_10151_categoryId_255214_langId_-1

Their Pro or Advanced tools are very good value for money when they have their half
price sale or better going on. I'm pretty sure they are just rebranded gearwrench and Signet.
If you look at the prices of Signet tools, even on ebay, the sale price Halfords Pro range is
really superb value.

That Industrial 6 drawer cab and chest for £300 is one of the sweetest deals they have
ever had on tool storage.... I have only seen that offer a couple of times.

They do have the Industrial 6 chest and cab on offer at the moment for £300. They are good value and good quality, I have a few of them myself picked up when they have had them on offer.

Saw this 20 drawer Lista cabinet yesterday on ebay & its already gone, not suprisingly!

Jesus! :eyecrazy:

Might have to get mine up for sale if they fetch that sort of price!

That is quite a lot for that cabinet really. It looks to have a lot of 50mm drawers in it, which are great for flat things, but won't accommodate many ergo-handled screwdrivers (Wiha, for example) as the drawer-height is measured on the oustide and the internal depth is a fair bit shorter.

I have one 50mm drawer on mine and it just stores t-handle hex keys and that sort of stuff.

Hi
what is TSP ????????

Trisoduim phosphate. Great paint-stripper/degreaser. The vice above was soaked in a tub of hot TSP solution for a few hrs. About 95% of the paint just peeled away, the rest with a light bit of persuasion with a wire brush.
