I used to buy some of that Gedore stuff from that seller, they don't do combined shipping which is a pain and expensive and were hopeless when some items never arrived (they had proof of delivery which is all they cared about but I never signed for it) as far as I'm aware it is the wholesaler who is selling old stock, address matches on the paperwork.

Well done on the box , but that's not really what this thread is about ,
The guys in America have a thread about any hot deals going by dealers , eBay etc for everybody to jump on , but most of it wasn't going to make sense to ship it over ,so this thread is for UK deals.

I’ve made more posts in this thread than you have, so I don’t need lecturing. I just wanted to show off :bounce:

Shipping is quite high on every item with them alright.

Yeah. Tested two weeks ago on the wheel bolts. Feels very solid. Doesn`t flex at all.

I bought also the rest of tools from the posted links. All of them are tested. Excellent quality.

tempted, does anyone know how far behind this would be from a 1/2 snap on air gun? on paper it has no where near the torque level

That's a cracking deal. I did a brake job with mine last week and it did all the brake bolts no problem. I have a 3/4" high torque one as well for hub nuts or any really seized parts but the Compact Fuel will do the vast majority of bolts and it's so much lighter and nicer to use.

is it the same model number you have? as its only listed as having 280nm of torque vs over a 1000nm of my snap on air gun

Actually, I have the 3/8" version, the M18CIW38 which has max 265nm torque. The brake caliper bolts on the car I was doing were only 110nm so it just whizzed them off no problem. I wouldn't expect to undo many hub nuts or crank bolts with it though! The last driveshaft hub nut I torqued up was 340nm so you'd need a bigger impact for that.

Thanks for the tip on the screwdrivers. I managed to persuade a friend to get a set. They'll be the first decent tools he's bought. I bought a set for each of us so the postage was free. I bought them through Flubit actually. Flubit will beat Amazons prices on almost anything they sell. They use the same suppliers as Amazon so sometimes the stuff actually comes from Amazon but cheaper. I got the 2 screwdriver sets for £23.72 so saved £3.84 on the Amazon price.

Wish I hadn't seen this..... Feel hoodwinked by the pictures, well I didn't look close enough to be fair....

The older yellow box containers were of reasonable quality but these ones are junk :( hideous hinges, cheap plastic more rounded shape that doesn't fit well anywhere or stack....

Not the end of the world, but not the bargain I had originally thought.....

I just purchased this today! Very good box and it's replacing (or rather going beside as my now main box) an older, smaller halfords box!

I didn't realise there were codes but I got it for £149 after a friends staff discount!
