Haven't actually bought the mower yet but am looking at the DLM432CT2.Thats a good deal, which mower did you buy?
Pretty much bottom of the range as far as I can tell (makita don't exactly make things easy deciphering their range).
It's a brushed motor but for the size of my lawn, nearly double the price for brushless doesn't really add up. Cheapest I can see at the moment is now £365 from powertoolworld.
The DLM460 looks good too, brushless and a steel deck. Generally better construction from what I've read so probably a better machine overall.
The price jumps considerably though up to £650.
Both include the dual station charger and 2 batteries (4 by redemption).
I'm still on the fence to be honest. The 460 is what I really want but really not sure whether the extra cost is justified as my lawn isn't exactly huge. It only takes about 10-15 minutes to cut so the extra runtime of the brushless motor probably isn't needed. Heavier duty construction is always appealing but I can't see it having a hard life so probably not needed in my case.
On the other hand, the strimmer has been out for a couple of outings so far and so far so good.
Lower rpm than the 240v that I'm used to but it definitely does the job. It's nice and light and overall I'm really happy with it. Only negative so far is the guard isn't all that effective. Shoes full of grass isn't the end of the world though.
Cordless is definitely the way forward. I'm eyeing up a hedge cutter too which is also in the free battery deal. Its hard to know when to stop lol.
