I see we're all showing as new members. Will that fix itself?
It's a time warp!

Seems like an awful lot of old posts are showing as current/unread as of today as well. Posts from 4/20/2021 show as current when I click jump to new.

This is the same font/size setup we use on jalopyjournal.com... It's been good there, but I've heard enough feedback to know I need to take another look at it. It's low on my list right now, but it's on it... Next week or so...

Ironically, this is the same font and point size The Godfather First Edition was printed in... :)

Not sure if it's a bug or not but on The New Posts page, if I click on the next page I get a " Log in to Pixelexit" sign on box. When I click Cancel, the next page shows properly.

Photo Albums?.... I have links in my signature that seem to be busted.

In reference to the font... it might be fine over in that "other forum"... mostly because its about OLD things. I consider this forum modern and cutting edge.

I'm hoping that can be fixed... It's one of the unknowns at this point.

Is there a way to tell what threads I've posted in on the New Posts page? So far that's the one thing I'm missing from the old format. I do see that I can filter to only show those threads.

Thanks for all your work Ryan, I think it has a lot of promise!

I will pile on with the font -- the current font and line spacing is very difficult to read. A more common sans serif with tighter leading would be much easier on the eyes. I know you're on the Festool Owners Group forums -- I believe they are Xenforo and much more readable IMO if you're looking for some inspiration!

One other thing -- all my Garage Journal-hosted pics seem to be dead

I appreciate your commitment to making this an awesome site!

Can you give me a link to a page where you have a missing image?

Tried to post pictures but ran in to the issue of the server rejecting the picture as it says that picture is to large content is to large for server. I think something needs to allow for pictures. I posted in the vintage tools thread about Spreading the Bonney Affliction.

It seems as though all the threads I was subscribed to (new term seems to be "watching") before the conversion are now dumped into one big "watched" list instead of being broken out by the lists/categories I had created. I asked about this in the pre-conversion announcement/question thread, and my understanding was that subscription groups/lists would be maintained as before. How do we see watched threads by category/subscription group (ex. "Socket Organization", "Welding", "Lifting Equipment") as we had on the old platform? Thanks!

I'm going to have to create a tutorial for that one. Low on the list, but on the list!

Thank you. That one is VERY high on the list. We are working on it now.

Yep, font is really bad... BUT...To those unhappy with the font, go to your preferences (drop-down from your user name at the top) and change the "style" to "stock XF 2.2 style". This makes it similar to the old forums and much easier to read.

THANK YOU!

That font was brutal to try to read.

If other forums are happy with it, I picture those users as a bunch of old codgers with their screen resolution set to 640x480, heads tilted back, granny glasses perched on the ends of their noses and screen zoomed in so far they have to scroll to read a single post on this new fangled e-lec-tronic newspaper.

No longer see an icon on the each main forum page (hot deals, free parking, garage gallery, etc.) to pickup from where you left off (see newest posts since last visit) on each individual thread. Have to click to open page 1 of a thread and then click "jump to new" in the upper right.

As mentioned in another thread, you have to long hover over each user name to see a poster's location.

A button for subscribed threads would be nice.
Never mind, I found it under threads with your posts. It’s in the “Forums” drop down if anyone else is looking.

Will there be a multi quote feature?

Are the ads at the bottom of the mobile site when logged in permanent?

Definitely a low priority item but smileys. The XF smileys are aweful & there are way too many of them! Hope you can install vB style smileys someday.

Yes... I'm not sure why multi-quote isn't working. I will be looking into that.

As for those ads... Those should not be there. I will get that fixed.

“New post” “find threads” “watched” “searched forum” “mark forums read”toolbar disappears unless you scroll all the way to the top of the page.

The romantic hills of central Umbria, Italy,
+ quote isn't working...

The "stock XF 2.2 style" helps a lot, but this takes up still a ton of real estate, and looks like a default font screen... but it is better than nothing. For now! Thanks!

The smileys went from good to totally sucky, IMO. I've grown to like the old ones, these stock ones are like the smileys on FB or Yahoo Mail or something - Bleech!!! : puke: (See, not even a decent "puke" smiley... the cool clinking glass :beer; one is missing, and, yeah, the horrors!!!!

Give us a while, I'm sure we'll find more.... ;-)

Sorta of minor. A few threads I've looked at won't jump to the end using the button at the top. They come up a couple pages short. This thread as another example, doesn't give that option at the top, although it may be because it's only 2 pages.

On a side note, the bugs thus far are just minor inconveniences. No worries. Site still looks great and is thus far user friendly.

Great job on the updated version. Enjoying it so far.

This is a cache issue... You can clear your cache and fix it... or just wait a few days or so and your browser will fix itself.

Thanks for pointing that out... Once I get over the initial waves of bugs and critical fixes, I plan to make tutorials for things like that.
