hi @Ryan
i'm having an issue creating a thread in general garage discussion.
i tested this from an essentially vanilla firefox config in private browsing mode.
when i try to submit it, a modal comes up that says:
it looks like something is internally hitting a 503 when POSTing.
here's my console log (yes, it actually echoed that html error page in the console, lol):

happy to help you troubleshoot it if something's not clear.
Thanks Ryan. I'll just ride it out till next release. (when something else will go wrong)‘I’ve already brought this one up with Xenforo. They claim it’s a chrome bug In the latest release.

Only available to be seen by you (Admin), all staff or all members ?I just created a script that does this... creates a list of users that are being ignored, how many people are ignoring them, and by who...
Pretty interesting to see that the same people that cause me problems are the same people being ignored by the most people. I'm going to use this as a ban bar of sorts for those guys that can't seem to avoid drama and politics.
Thanks! I use Safari but i found there is Cascadea for that; just $3.... Stylebot is an example for Chrome, but there's plenty of options...

why is this on the bottom of my laptop's screen when i'm on GJ? "The Garage Journal would like your permission to enable push notifications."
what is the advantage to clicking on it?
As long as Drives broached the subject, why would we need to do that? I've been ignoring it, I have not granted permission, and I see all those notices and alerts when I click on the bell icon.essentially, it gives your browser permission to notify you of such things as a new private message, reply to your post, etc…

You don't need to at all.As long as Drives broached the subject, why would we need to do that? I've been ignoring it, I have not granted permission, and I see all those notices and alerts when I click on the bell icon.
It's there, just not visible on a phone screen due to the formatting. You can tap on a username to see it in a pop upIs it possible for you to make a change that would allow us to see a users location by their name and avatar like we had on the old site? Some will opt out which is fine but being able to tell what state or region someone is in is very helpful to answer all sorts of questions.

Can you see it on your computer?
By now... I figured I'd have more than 48... I'm impressed.‘That wouldn’t be nice… but the leader in the house is being ignored by 48 people.
Have you tried rotating your phone into landscape mode? When I do this, the "full" view shows up, with the user's location underneath their avatar. Is it possible for you to make a change that would allow us to see a users location by their name and avatar like we had on the old site? That works, thank you.Have you tried rotating your phone into landscape mode? When I do this, the "full" view shows up, with the user's location underneath their avatar.
On another forum years ago, an admin figured out how to make a particularly irritating member invisible. He kept posting, and he saw his own posts, but no one could see them. It was pretty funny when people slowly realized what had happened.I just created a script that does this... creates a list of users that are being ignored, how many people are ignoring them, and by who...

Sounds like you should try later.
Hi Ryan — Thanks for all the good work. Looks like it will be nice after some tweaking.
Two things I used to be able to do —
1) Set my own personal choice for posts per page. I had it set at 40.
2) Hide all avatar pictures. I really appreciated having this option.
Thank you for all you do!
Hi @Ryan! The new site has been great! I wanted to check back on these items— I seem to remember the personal per-page setting being difficult, or something you gave up on. But I don’t remember seeing a resolution on hiding all avatar pictures. Any chance you could make that happen? Both are smart features... and I should have both. I will add them to the list.
Hi Ryan,
Just ran into a very strange error that has never happened to me before.

I found this one at a Tahoe Keys garage sale 6/26. I hadn’t seen one with the unusual handle recess either. Mine has the round shank like JoCo’s. -Donwww.garagejournal.com
...is not showing up on my view of the Vintage Tool Discussion forum or in my Watched list.
I was in the main forums view. I saw that it had gotten updated by Old Radar, because it was the most recent activity next to his avatar in the Vintage Tool Discussion. When I clicked on the Vintage Tool Discussion, it was not at the top of the list. It is still not showing up anywhere in my view of that forum. When I went to my Watched list, it is not showing up there, either. I am getting Alerts for it, but I cannot see it on my Watched list or in the Vintage Tool Discussion list.
