This is the second time I have noticed it. The other thread that won't show up for me is Heritage Logo Love. Same forum. Even if I 'Watch' them, they won't show up in my 'Watched' lists either. I'm wondering how many threads I am not seeing.

Ryan have you had a chance to look into configuring the site so that AutoPagerize (add-on for Firefox and Chrome) can be used.? When the site is configured properly the next page loads automatically. Saves a bunch of time. Thank you

I have a link in my signature that is indistinguishable from the other words in the sig, all just grey font. Can links in the signatures be highlighted in a different color/font like in a message?

Yes. Click on your avatar at the main bar top right of the entire page. Click on Signature. And you will see your signature in a box with all the editing features of a post. The artist's palette is where the colors are.
Why thank you sir, I was able to make it work.

Ryan,

I've noticed that it seems that sometimes a thread opens at its first entry, not at its newest entry. I'm reasonably sure that I've visited these threads since the switch over, but can't be 100% sure. Clicking on the 'Jump to New' works. Doesn't happen often, maybe once a day and not the same thread every time.

I don't know if the issue is with my browser or the server/software.

Not a real problem but something I've noticed.

Thanks for supporting GJ!

20:50 EDT, 30 August - Just happened: Winchester Tool thread in Vintage Tools. Screen shot shows the first page. Newest post is #31

Also at 21:02 - The Amazing Shelton Socketool, c.1961 thread in Vintage Tools. Newest post is #9

I have not tested as to when this exactly happens to me... but yea... every once in a while... it opens to the 1st post when there are New Posts that I have not viewed yet. It's rare... maybe once or twice a day. Can't tell if it's only in one section of the forum.

I haven't seen this yet. the only posts that open to the 1st posts are ones that I haven't read or posted in since the forum update.

That problem is usually related to cookies and browser security settings... I have thoroughly tested that code and it's working as it should.

Ryan,

Thanks for looking into this. It's not a problem, just an inconsistency that catches the eye. Just click the 'Jump to New' gets you to where you want to go.

I did notice that on some of the threads the comment preceding the 'new' one is dated in July and early August. Probably just a coincidence.

Also I've noticed that at times if I go back to the forum page and click on the link again I'll be taken to the New post. This is hit or miss and I've not been able to detect any rhyme or reason in this.

I also thought that the dates of the posts previous to the New ones preceded the switchover, but I've seen some of those dated around the middle of August.

Thanks again for taking care of GJ!

OK... I think I fixed it... Looks like Google enabled an "ad experiment" and I didn't act fast enough to cancel it.
In the last couple of days, I've been getting a random pop up Chevy truck ad in Free Parking.

I can click it and it goes away but not sure why it's random.

Ryan allows ads in free parking. Ironically, a lot of them are vaccine and mask related. Two subjects he doesn’t allow lol
I've noticed that about those ads too Roger, kinda funny how it works out.

What I'm seeing is a whole page/screen pop up ad. Im not sure why it's popping up but 90% of the time, I'm on my phone as time allows.

I restarted my phone to see if it clears up the issue.

Ryan could you please optimize the site to AutoPagerize the add-on to FireFox and Chrome? Thank you

I attempted to do that last week... I guess there is a bug within Xenforo that won't allow it at the moment. Support said it's on their list.

I was trying to share a post I made here, in a thread called "What you did in your yard today?" with my Facebook audience.
To test the link, I logged out of this forum and then clicked on the link in Facebook.
The site wants all my viewers to Log In to see my Post!
I feel, if you are going to give us the option to show our post to Facebook friends, they shouldn't have to log in to see that SPECIFIC post...

To be honest, I have very little concern for Facebook users. However, I’m assuming that’s because you linked to a post in one of the logged in only forums like free parking. OST of the site does not require a login.

Thanks for the explanation, I was wondering why I could link to FB on some areas and not others.

Is the Latest Profile Posts box on the main forum page of much benefit to the majority?
I personally never use it, and im guessing due to confusion, there seems to be private conversations that end up as profile posts.
If it disappeared I would never miss it. It takes up prime real estate that could be used for something else.
Just rambling...

Hmmm... I thought I already posted this but can't find it.

I *really* miss the note that used to show in the upper right of a page that showed when you last logged in. It let me know if I had missed a day or two and how far back to look for postings.

The “delete draft“ button doesn’t seem to do anything right now for me.

I had to manually delete the whole thing, which took a long time.
For some reason, when you hold the back button to delete text, it starts out kind of fast, but then slows down. The opposite of what happens on any other site.

On a PC I would’ve just highlighted and deleted, but that can be difficult on the phone.

The 'Delete draft' button will not remove the text from your visible cache. If you type a post, then click on 'Delete draft', you will still see your text in the draft space. Moreover, if you hit the [Post reply] button, it will post the text you typed. But, if you leave the thread and come back to it, it will be gone. Technically, your draft post is deleted.
